Upon arrival, I was met by Maurice "Mo". He had a big smile and was very eager to assist with my luggage. He is a very pleasant man and a genuinely good human. He has gone above and beyond to be kind. He will never be forgotten. The other staff are polite as well. The room condition when I first opened the door was very fresh and everything in perfect order. The river view is spectacular! No complaints and no regrets staying at this beautiful hotel.
Enjoyed our stay at the Westin Savanah. Our room was a Harbor View and very nice, clean and as usual comfortable beds! The common areas were nicely kept up and very in the main lobby. We did not get a chance to go across the harbor to the shops since we just stopped here to sleep due to traffic being really bad going to Fla. We will book a trip soon to stay a few days as this is a nice little quaint place.
Expensive, resort fee, river taxi to river street, close to convention center
Nice place, but @ 260 or more per night, even with covid, one expects at least one breakfast option on the property, not empty promises, and a nutri grain bar
Fine hotel. Gym and spa should not be so far. Ferry is kind of irritating.
Great atmosphere and wonderful service. Easy access to a free water taxi that carries you across the Savannah River right onto River Street.
The hotel was great and the river view was awesome!
Very dissatisfied for a resort. Pool was closed for a bit on Memorial day due to a child crapping in the pool. Ok, no big deal till you find out that kid and his family weren't even paying customers. The resort doesn't monitor entrants. Not only was there feces in the pool but the bathroom as well. Next, the staff will get you drunk before they will get you a water (because you can't make gratuity on water can ya?) which leads me to my final disappointment of our stay. Two dads got into a drunk fist fight at the pool, probably because the staff isn't trained on when to cut someones alcohol off. Not our idea of a relaxing vacation. Oh and that fight that broke out wasn't even handled by their weak staff. A good Samaritan resort member controlled the scene and the resort supervisor was incredibly rude and ungrateful toward him. Thumbs down. Please don't waste your money unless you like drama and unsanitary conditions.
I've only been there for conferences but it looks really nice and the staff are friendly.
The Westin is very clean, well-kept and up-to-date. The staff is friendly and professional and the rooms are very nice. I'd recommend the Westin to anyone who wants a really nice place to stay downtown.
Booked on Expedia, checked in, were told we booked a river front room, did not have a riverfront room....we checked in really late in the evening...so didn t argue...got in the room, there was stinky garbage in the can, and plastic, and clothing tags strewn on the floor.. upon check out they tried to charge us an extra 100.00 for resort fee , and parking. We also were charged an additional fee of 150.00 for our small dog that was traveling with us! Will definitely not be back.
The hotel is great. Very upscale, and I like all the amenities. The outdoor pool area is amazing.
Great burgers and you can dock your boat for free if you eat there
Upscale hotel with a great pool. The restaurant is pretty poor, though. Go elsewhere if looking for food in Savannah.
The employees are happy to help and the place is a match for Savannah's beauty.
Not bad for the price. Need to take the free water taxi to get to town.
Went and visited the grounds and hotel for their gingerbread village. Nice accommodations.
The first day we arrived for the midwife conference the Starbucks inside hotel was out of food and the attached restaurant never served us our food. We only got our drinks. We had to remind them we were star point members to get our free daily water and star points rewards for not cleaning the room. 4th day of our stay we wanted room cleaned. We came back at 5:00p.m. and our room had not been cleaned. We also requested a room service menu 4 times in an hour. They finally brought it and they were out of several items on menu.
River location, good amenities (golf, pool), nice rooms, excellent bar & bartender, free ferry across Savannah river into town. What's not to like???
The resort is breathtaking sitting right on the river. We got a room with a river view and WOW!! Steven at the front desk put us in an amazing room and it had a balcony. The city of Savannah sits across the river from The Westin so the views during the sunset were outstanding. The only reason I didn't give this resort 5 stars is because they are doing renovations and the floor we were on they were installing carpet and the smell of the chemicals made your eyes burn and they started at 7:00 in the morning with the drilling on the floor above us. And the resort fee was OUTRAGEOUS $26.75 to self park your car and then not able to pull up to the front door to get my luggage because the entrance was blocked off for construction. So had to carry my luggage all the way to the self parking lot. Didn't use the ferry or the shuttle to the spa and didn't need the hotel internet. Why not just include it in the room rate since you charge everyone if they used the ammenaties or not.
Great space to host a conference. The ferry is great if you are staying there and want to go downtown.
Awesome view off the river excellent service and nice city.
Room wasn t ready until 4 hours after check in time.
Gingerbread houses were impressive, made by students in the local school district.
We went for the Christmas Brunch. It was an all you can eat buffet. They had an omelet bar, a pasta bar, a carving station, seafood choices, sever fish preparations, multiple salads and a dessert bar. The decor was artsy. The view amazing.
I am beyond happy with my decision to stay at The Westin Savannah! The room was beyond impressive, Aqua is outstanding, the grounds are beyond gorgeous, and all details are well maintained. The nice woman at the front desk must've heard my wife and I discussing her birthday upon check-in and we received a call just before 10 P.M. in our room for an "amenities drop-off". I was confused until we were brought a gigantic cupcake and complimentary bottle of champagne on ice.
Southern charm is real and it lives at The Westin Savannah. They have earned a lifetime customer who looks forward to returning soon.
Whenever we're passing through Savannah we stay here. It never disappoints
They messed up like 5 things. Overcharged me on room service. Said they d refund me...didn t. Then no one responded to my 2 emails. Much better places for the price.
Great place, went to Convention Center next door for festival
Worst one ever dog barking all night and just nasty stay away
Lovely elegant hotel. Lots of amenities. Nice beds.
Very nice property. Provides complementary shuttle to Historic District.
It was awesome need more parking. Better parking would get the fifth star
This place needs help. My room was dirty and nobody had hot water. I almost slept in the car.
Terrific hotel with easy access to ferry to get to downtown Savannah. Nice outdoor heated pool and hot tub and bar right on the riverfront. Loved my stay there!
Beautiful hotel on the Savannah River overlooking downtown Savannah. A free ferry takes you back and forth across the river. The rooms facing the river offer an outstanding view of both Savannah and the HUGE cargo ships that pass by. The weather was not great when we were there so we looked longingly at the lovely pool, hot tub and fire pit. Would look forward to staying there again and get to play their golf course.
Guest was too loud and setting off alarms during the night and had to call security 3 times. Also the battery for the safe had to be replaced. The key for the room had to be replaced 4 different times. No what I expected for first and probably last time visit. I will not easy my money or time again
The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort is a very nice place specially for trying to play some beautiful golf on the resort. Me and my family had a great time there and even though we didn't play very much we saw the beautiful sights and it left me in all of the beauty
I attended the 8th Annual Oyster Roast at the Westin-the food and ambience were AMAZING!
Top notch! Beautiful views, convenient location, ferry service to waterfront stores/ restaurants.
Nice place, very secure. Attendants were very helpful
Beautiful hotel with amazing waterfront views!! The Sunday brunch is delicious!
The Hotel was like any other i have been to hospitality wise. It had free coffee and a breakfast spot. The beds were comfortable. It also has little events to do. Overall a normal hotel with added things.
Hotel is decent however the walls are thin. Maybe it was my bed only but it was not firm enough for my comfort. The hotel is across the river from downtown but a free ferry is provided every 20 minutes. A very good convenience is the Starbucks on the bottom floor.
The Westin was nice however, upon arrival I was asked to give my credit card for incidentals. I was overcharged approximately $217.00 and a month later I am still waiting for my refund. I don't understand how it takes a minute to take money from your credit card and a month to return it.
Got in late and left early. Had great access to the city while being secluded from everything. Did not get a chance to interact all that much with the staff, but The Westin is well worth the price for what it has to offer
Fantastic views of the river. Nice location. Easy access to downtown via the ferry.
If you get a room with a river view, you will not be disappointed. The grounds are well-maintained and have a tropical feel.
This resort was amazing. It was very convenient for myself and my family. We were attending a gymnastics meet at the convention center next door. We enjoyed playing crochet with the family, taking the free fairy provided to river street. It was an all around great experience for us. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to enjoy the beauty of River Street and Savannah.
When I arrived to my room the room was filthy and the tacks holding down the carpet were exposed as I entered the bathroom.
Room service missed my pizza n salad order one evening so I didn t eat that night
The limited late night menu options are aweful - club sandwich, ham sandwich, Caesar salad? Are you kidding me? There s zero options for delivery to the hotel and those are the options I have?
The woman that missed the room service order called to apologize and said her boss would be caking, never received a phone call
I then called the hotel manager and still haven t been called back.
I complained on twitter and received no response, so I guess you really don t care. I ll be sending this out to all social media outlets just so someone else doesn t end up in your hotel.
Oh - and I paid 300/ night to be treated like a motel 6.
Nice facility, beautiful grounds. Expensive relative to other properties in the area.
564 dollars for one night you can find a better place to stay in. No complementary brakfeast was told it was 22 dollars a person also the trash cans outside were full of garbage as if nobody took the time to take it out! We brought or dog with us because it is pet friendly not so much. The staff was very friendly we asked them where the best place to eat that was not so costly they said to go down on MLK to the Wendy's or Burger King lol. The only thing this place got going for it is the location which is very nice.
Had a nice time staying here, very convenient and good brunch.
Beautiful hotel just an older property. They have covid policies in place which was great!
The Westin was an amazing place to stay, as we do a couple times of the year , but unfortunately this time when we left we forgot somethings in the room after immediately calling back we were given the run around and still have not gotten a call back about our lost items , bc of not feeling safe or feeingl like we can trust the property we will not be staying at this resort in the future!!! This ruined our vacation!!
While site seeing we stop in taking the ferry across the river. We toured it. Very nice.
While I love this hotel, the stay this time around wasn't as lovely as the first time. Our phone in our room did not work and it took 2 times asking before they sent someone to fix it...beacuse the phone didn't work, my husband couldn't call for the car which resulted in him being late for his meeting (a 25 minute wait for the car)....secondly no hangers in the room to hang clothes, again we cannot call for any service due to the phone not working....although these are small minor issues....they are issues that should've been cleared up as soon as we made the hotel aware. I will still come back to stay while my husband is here on business...the staff are very welcoming and always greets you with a good morning or how y'all today..... This time around 4.5 star
Wouldn t even let us use our military discount at the desk
Amazing Experience with the best employees to assist. A place one would feel they must return to g8ven the opportunity
Beds were comfy and the hotel appearance overall is nice. We arrived at 11pm on Friday for check in. Saturday morning, the Aqua Star, breakfast was good but a little steep; $25 per person. At night after a long day in Savannah I noticed a little toy on the ground in the corner. Just to realize it was a magic mike miniature, funny and it makes me wonder what happened in that room but shows the lack of attention in the housekeeping department. And the shower is hot where it indicates cold and cold where it shows hot, you just have to sit there and play with the faucet to try and figure a temperature blindly. There s a $33 resort fee that they charge daily. Which I did ask if there was something that could be done since we didn t use any of the amenities. To which I was told The resort fee includes all listed, we don t charge based upon usage it is just a fee that shows on the web site.
I drive for Uber and the guests are always very happy.
Nice!! Clean, friendly Staff!! Relaxing!! BED PILLOWS TOO SOFT!!!
Visited only for the purpose of taking a boat cruise of the Savannah Port facilities. The location, lobby, and view are extraordinary.
My Rolex watch was stolen out of my room when I went to pick up dinner. I asked the front desk to have someone clean my room on my way out to pick up dinner. Since I was working in the room all day and had the do not disturb sign on the door, I figured it would be perfect to have the room cleaned while I was gone. I noticed my Rolex watch was missing the next day.
I arrived the day the hotel was evacuating for hurricane irma. We weren't notified before we arrived, but the staff did let us take a shower and have breakfast seeing as we had left very early from Florida that morning. Seemed like a nice place, just had unfortunate circumstances.
First I'm a African American woman and we came with a party of 9 to celebrate a family birthday that turned 50 was there for 4 days and one of the servers by the name of debbie Jacob that said we was not allowed to drink in a common area witch was no sign nor was there any indication of no drinking in the area but we said fine we will leave and as we was about to leave she already call the security on use by the way we is by the bar under the tent we already been there for 3 days we already have none the bar tenders because we had 2 get together in the bar area the night before bought food we even had the cake made from them so right now me and my family and friends are so sad and the birthday girl and I'm saying we have spent almost over 800 plus for the rooms besides the food and drinks why was we treated like this is beyond me my husband and 2 other guest are veterans from the military and I mean airforce that served 35 years for their country we do not deserve to be treated like this I am discussed and the they call more security on us I am so sad but angry when will it end .
We had a group of 25 and everything was hot and served quickly and efficiently.
So far the staff has been friendly and courteous. The property is absolutely beautiful. Would come again.
I went to a Jazz- Bubbles- Brunch at the Westin Harbor Resort during the Savannah Food & Wine Festival a month ago. Parking wasn't included in the ticket, you will have to self park for $17 or park really far and walk in, its doable. The resort is gorgeous, relaxing and very welcoming. Staff greeted us kindly and gave us info on the brunch location on the 2nd floor. Upon arriving we wandering around a bit, walked outside to view the harbor out back. The weather was perfecto, so we chilled until brunching time.
The brunch included all you can eat everything, I mean it was absolutely amazing from the music, waitress staff, bar tenders, and the food was Delishhhhhh!!! Make sure you don't eat breakfast, you need a appetite to really enjoy all the flavors. Savannah is a foodie city indeed, it never disappoints. The price is really reasonable considering the amt of food and service you are receiving.
Tip: They do have this brunch on Sundays if you wanna visit, you just wont receive the glass we received. But the wonderful service will be the same. Yes, I would go back just for the brunch!
