I seen you sponsor the YMCA's garden plot on the Northside and what a disgrace. It is June 19th 2018 and the plot you sponsored is now a huge eyesore for my friends business. They never take care of it. It is absolutely disgusting. My friend took care of that property for 15 years and then you come over and sponsored the YMCA to put in an urban garden that is the epitome of an eyesore. Please stop sponsering people who don't take care of their property as you are making your company look bad. I have pictures if you need proof. Thanks for your time.

About The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy

The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy (WPC) is a non-profit organization that has been working tirelessly to protect and restore the natural beauty of the region for over 85 years. The organization's mission is to provide clean waters, healthy forests, wildlife, and natural areas for the benefit of present and future generations.

One of WPC's primary goals is to protect water resources in western Pennsylvania. The organization works with landowners, businesses, and government agencies to implement best practices for managing stormwater runoff and protecting water quality. WPC also works to restore degraded streams and wetlands through projects such as streambank stabilization, reforestation, and invasive species removal.

In addition to protecting water resources, WPC also focuses on preserving forests in western Pennsylvania. The organization manages over 60,000 acres of forestland throughout the region through sustainable forestry practices that promote biodiversity and maintain healthy ecosystems. WPC also works with private landowners to help them manage their forested properties sustainably.

WPC's efforts extend beyond just protecting water resources and forests; the organization also works to preserve natural areas throughout western Pennsylvania. These areas include unique habitats such as old-growth forests, wetlands, prairies, and rare plant communities. Through land acquisition efforts and partnerships with other organizations, WPC has helped protect thousands of acres of these special places.

One notable project that WPC has undertaken is the restoration of Fallingwater - a world-renowned architectural masterpiece designed by Frank Lloyd Wright located in southwestern Pennsylvania. In partnership with the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy Fund at Pittsburgh Foundation (WCF), they have worked together since 1996 on this project which includes restoring Fallingwater’s structural integrity while preserving its original design features.

Another significant initiative undertaken by WPC is their community gardens program which provides urban residents access to fresh produce while promoting sustainable agriculture practices within city limits.

Overall,WCP plays an essential role in conserving western Pennsylvania's natural beauty by working collaboratively with various stakeholders including government agencies, private landowners, and other non-profit organizations.Their work ensures that future generations will be able enjoy clean waters, fresh air,and healthy ecosystems while appreciating all that nature has provided us.WCP continues its mission towards creating a better tomorrow for everyone living in Western Pennsylvanian region!
