I have been here a few times and all experiences were bad but the worst one was when I was in so much pain from a bad infection i had it took them forever to see me. the nurse they had couldn t find my veins so she was fishing around and stuck me 6 different times in different places. after all that i got a phone call saying they had given me the wrong medication for the infection i had.
I just got back from having a two procedures. The Westerly Hospital staff, nurses, anesthesiologist, Tech guy Shane and Doctor Connors could not have been more efficient, caring and made me laugh several times which lessened my anxiety. I felt cared for and in very capable hands.Thank you all.
Lot's of things just need to be better here. They've gotta step it up. It ciuld be a great place...maybe it'll get better.
I had been to the hospital multiple times for blood and urine tests before today and was always super fast and easy. Always in and out in no time. Everyone was very nice. I just got home from the ER with my son who fell at school. Turned out he broke his arm. We were checked in right away and taken to the back. Everyone was so kind and kept coming to check on us and were so friendly to my kids. The director then came in to make sure everyone was doing well and came back to surprise both of my kids with some little stuffed animals. My son was happy and kept comfortable. Best experience at a hospital I ve ever had.
The staff in triage was fast, efficient and courteous. The same can not be said of the nurse or doctors, well I assume dr. I drow we my MINOR daughter to the ER after she fell and hurt her foot in a stage accident. Triage said I could go in with my MINOR but the nurse had other ideas. He asked me to go sit in a dark waiting room blaming Covid rules regarding visitors. The nurse and dr went on diagnosing my daughters fractured foot and discovered a cyst on her foot. They also told my daughter she could drive with a medical boot on her right foot!! Good grief. Go to westerly hospital then drive with the boot to end up six foot in the ground. Yale should be ashamed to be associated with this hospital
I went to Westerly on Thursday night from a dog bite..... Staff was very sweet and Dr. Boslough did an exceleent job on my hand!! Thank you for the good service!!
This hospital is terrible! Wait times are outrageous and the staff is horrible!! Don't waste your time! Go to South County hospital instead
Whether it was for myself or for someone I was bringing in, this place has a habit of not treating emergency visits with the amount of respect they deserve. They're quick to write off people who they think are overreacting. South county hospital has treated me and others I know with alot more respect and concern. Can't say I recommend this hospital.
Well my goodness!!! Thi s was my first trip to the ER and I was petrified!! I'm fairly new to the area so did not know what to expect! Eveyone was so kind, gentle, courteous thorough and professional! I was so vey grateful to all of the nurses and PA .This was the absolute best care and I would not hesitate to recommend or return to this Hospital!! Thank you staff!!!
