The Wellshire Inn Review

If you are looking for an event center for any ceremony this is not the place. The staff is extremely rude and difficult to work with. I went for a wedding here and despite the beautiful scenery the lack of respect from the staff was disappointing.

When serving food, the staff lacked any form of customer service. In addition, the food was not good. It lacked salt and season. We continuously needed to alert and ask for things within the hall and often it would never come.

The family that booked this event center had a difficult time working with this event center. Being a friend of the bride I witnessed the bride cry for two hours because the owner was threatening to shut it down over miscommunication from them.

If you want an event center that truly cares for your event, your family, your happiness this is not the event center. In the case anything happens, just know that they lack professionalism and care for you.

Do not book here, find other places around Denver.

We attended a wedding at this venue with great expectations of a blissful event but sad to say that the management and staff of this event place didn't think much of spoiling the day by being rude, yelling on guests, forbidding any decent volume of dance music and succeeded in making the bride cry for the pain of not being able to get a decent first dance with her groom. And the food was tasteless because they insisted on cooking recipes they had no knowledge of. I don't recommend this place if you want a decent event. They even threatened to call the police and "shut it all down" loudly to the hearing of the guests! Many guests left early because no one wanted to be caught up in the manager/owner's drama.

We could not have asked for a better wedding venue than the Wellshire. We loved that they provided so many services so we didn't have to look for other vendors for catering, bar, rentals, event coordinator, etc. Considering how many venue spaces charge you thousands of dollars for the space alone, the Wellshire saved us an incredible amount of money and stress. Kacey was wonderful to work with as our event coordinator. She was very responsive and had answers to even my most nitty gritty questions. On top of all that, the venue itself is beautiful from the bridal suite, to the ceremony and reception sites, to the grounds. I could not recommend the Wellshire highly enough!

I played a round of golf at Wellshire and had a good experience overall. The greens were not in the best condition. Even though it s early season, it seemed that the grass had been affected by disease over the winter. I would like to come back in a few months to see if it improves.

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. If you are a non-white person, this is not the wedding venue for you.

The service and staff were so rude to us guests and even the bride and groom! As the bride and groom were dancing into the room, one of the staff members started berating the DJ to turn it down (even though it wasn't that loud and also it is not as though they were unaware a wedding was booked and taking place), thus causing a scene for everyone involved. The food was basically inedible. They threatened to shut down the reception, AND on top of that call the cops. Really just awful service and I would not recommend it.

A wedding is just such an important event and something that (hopefully) only happens once in a lifetime. For Wellshire Event Center to have had such awful service during this time was disgusting. The bride and groom already had to sacrifice so much of their ideal wedding because of COVID. It is disheartening to see the treatment the bride, groom, and their guests received on their day. I cannot imagine how they treat people when business is booming or busy. This is one of those rare times I wish I could give zero stars. Truly would not recommend this place to anyone

Very beautiful event center but the event coordinators are very unprofessional!!!! The event coordinators got into an argument over the volume of the music as the bride and groom where coming in; in front of all the reception guests. Misunderstandings should always be handled in a professional manner and not in front of the wedding guests. The food was also not great! This was not my first time attending an event here and unfortunately the second time was underwhelming.

Nice place but very confusing. Came for a wedding and the staff rudely told paying wedding throwers to lower music and speakers to almost a whisper to not disturb golfers who were outside. They also didn t allow the couple to bring outside catering but still didn t do their best to make sure the food was even slightly pleasant. Wedding planners need to reconsider if they want any sort of native wedding.

This venue was BEAUTIFUL. We photographed a wedding there. It s a little dark for photography but with the proper lights it s fine. Other than that, it was a beautiful space with very accommodating staff and planners.

The Wellshire is a beautiful location to host any function - and was perfect for our wedding! We had already looked at a few other locations and were dismayed at the set-up/clean-up restrictions, the food/catering restrictions, and the overall cost of what places were wanting to charge and what they were willing to provide. Wellshire did require that they cater the event, but Chris won us over when he told us that we could invite multiple rugby teams and we wouldn't run out of the hor d'oeuvres or desserts! Kacey was our onsite coordinator and SUPER nice. The food was fantastic - and I have to mention Olga because she was my superhero that day! She made sure to bring my husband and me each tray of the different hor d'oeuvres to ensure that we were eating throughout the reception! Since we had it on a Sunday, we had the venue to ourselves. They let us drop off the decorations the day before and pick everything up the day after - HUGE benefit! We had plenty of room to get ready in the separate bride and groom suites; have the ceremony in the Windsor Room; cocktail hour in the Onyx Lounge; the photo booth, games, and creative corner in the Cambridge Room; and the reception in the Rocky Mountain Pavilion. Plus, we had a beautiful patio and view to enjoy the evening air! I had tons of feedback from our guests about how great the venue was - so I would definitely recommend 100%!!!
