I really loved the National Security Seminar I did here back in summer 2019, and I really hope to pursue an internship through them in the future. They have really friendly employees, people that are happy to help and see you grow, and they have beautiful residential facilities. It's a perfect location and a great way to get immersed into the D.C. experience.

The staff was terrible! Almost refused to give me my money back when I had to go to a new apartment, because the shower in the one they put me in was not working. The staff is very unprofessional, rude, and act like they don't want to be there. One time, I asked a question regarding an event I had an issue with, and instead of answering my question respectfully. They called me in, and asked if I had a learning disability because, the instructions and description of the event were supposedly clear, so if I didn't understand something, it had to be because I had a learning disability. Don't go, this place is awful! Find an internship yourself!

I had a really weird experience for my internship here. I got selected as an intern for the FAA with NO interview! I never did an interview either in person or over Skype. They only look at your resume and hire based on that. It might seem like a good thing but on the other hand, you have never met the people who you will be working with. And, your coworkers haven't met you either. I think that is weird. To be selected for an internship and not have 1 meeting with your future coworkers.

And, what legitimate internship would hire a person they have never met? Could this be a scam? Maybe. I declined the offer so I will never know.

On the day I was offered the internship, my coordinator Lina, kept repeating on the phone and on email that she "has to move on to other candidates." I admit I was unsure if I wanted this internship. But, having your coordinator threaten to remove you from the internship from day 1 just left a bad impression. I assume that line was her way of making sales to candidates. Because, you actually have to pay program fees for most of their internships. Not for my internship though. You don't pay to do an FAA internship. The FAA pays you.

Don't ever pay to do internships! Why would you pay a company to do work for them. And, most of the time, the experience won't meet your expectations. Most internships will be bad quality. That's the reality!!! And, you will feel used and taken advantage of. GET ANY JOB IN YOUR FIELD. And, build experience from there. That's what I did. I built experience from my jobs and I went back to school for a different career path and now I'm actually able to get paid internships.

Very nice program and accommodations for college students to attend if they are wanting to intern on Capital Hill or the DC area. The apartments are a nice size. The building is clean and well kept. Only down side is the next block over are bums everywhere!

I was hesitant to do this program due to the several sour reviews, but I'm here to set the record straight. I did this program in summer of 2019, The Washington Center was my favorite summer of my undergraduate career. I took every chance the program had to offer. I was able to bowl in the White House, attend meetings with Presidential cabinet members, be a part of numerous in-house events, socials and made tons of friends. I gained so much perspective working and living in the city, I gained professional practices and grew as an individual. This program changed how I viewed the world. It is so worth it! I would go back every summer if I could! - great living as well super secure and clean building.

What a scam this place is. Can t even give back a proper housing refund when they closed the RAF due to COVID-19. Thanks for not giving students the right amount of money back and making them pay for services they couldn t use!!!

Faculty and Professors were great and receptive. Administration is what caused students to have an outcry. Over 60 of us didn't get our money back after being kicked out of the apartments. They tried to justify not returning refunds since some of us had scholarships to attend. Not to mention the locals in DC warned us we were paying way to much for housing. They disgustingly ignore you when you ask for transparency. Some of the staff also seemed annoyed when we asked questions. They had a very sketchy manner in operating, when you attend, you will see it for yourself. I don't blame those who claim this program is almost like a scam.
