Well its alot of med students so i felt like a quinine pig. But quality care wss given by both staff and students. I think they should ask before hand if patients mind if med students preform certain task before letting them just right in and when something goes wrong then they tell you.. Made me less trusting of care handling

My husband and I went through the drive-thru vaccination station at the University of Arizona today. The operation was extremely well organized with lots of signs telling you what to do and where to go. There were also dozens of volunteers there directing traffic, taking information to make sure you have an appointment, checking IDs, giving you your shot, then offering you snacks and water while you hang out for an additional 15 minutes after your vaccine to make sure you're not having any kind of a reaction. Absolutely everyone was wearing masks and practicing social distancing and touchless information gathering whatever possible. iPads with shared files were used at every station, with IT personnel standing by and purple vests in case there were any technical difficulties. We were through the entire program in less than 30 minutes, and that includes the 15-minute waiting time after your shot. Whoever organize this really knew what they were doing

I do projects for the UofA and have been around the campus for several years. The facility is amazing and the staff just as amazing! Love the professionalism they inspire in everyone they deal with.

Tucson, like all college towns, has its fair share of crime. It has grown on me in a good way, and I haven't had to wear a jacket once. It is a beautiful city with a lot of character that is directly reflected within the campus. The University does a great job with personalizing the experience. If you have an issue, you can contact someone and get help without going through a 10 person chain of command (like the one used at another state school not to be mentioned). Arizona gives students a few good options when choosing a University, and the U of A has many wonderful programs to choose from. The Chemical Engineering department is absolutely amazing, the professors will go above and beyond to help students learn the material, increase student involvement within the university, gain access to internship resources, overall, creating an environment for success. There are so many research opportunities presented by this school, it has opened my mind to possibilities I had not imagined. Since day 1, I felt welcomed with open arms.

My experience was that most people on campus didn't want to get dust on them from the gross contractor ;or felt I was in the wrong place for wanting to grab lunch in the UofA Mall food court while working on the soon to be upperclassmen student housing dorms and landscaping. Unfortunately, gave off a real snobby energy for not just the students but UofA staff as well.

Pretty campus, terrible math department. It's essentially a do-it-yourself learning process, and when it comes to calculus, one can't traditionally teach themselves a new subject per day, then complete the 8 pages of homework assigned daily. Being in class is a participation grade at best, since the teachers don't cover what is on the homework (which accounts for 100% of your grade except for exams). And to think I wasted my money to deal with this BS...

The U of A campus located within a historic section of the Tucson city footprint. It's close enough to downtown that you can walk or even better, ride a bike (Tucson is rated high in the Top 10 bicycle-friendly cities of America). I'm not a student, however I do attend musical events at several of the university's event buildings every year or so and get that friendly flashback feeling each time. I went to college in 1969 so it's a familiar old feeling, too.

As you walk around the area, enjoy people-watching, the lively discussions, and the kooky kids. Make sure to have lunch nearby in one of the many restaurants and beer joints adjacent to the school boundary on the West side and perhaps even you will flash back comfortably to your early days.

The University is spread out so bring your walking shoes.

Went down for my first covid vaccine. This was through the state POD. It was well organized, and it took about an hour. Everyone was very polite and helpful. I'm a U of A grad from 1982. It's amazing how much the university has expanded. It's a beautiful campus. I'll be going back in 3 weeks for my second dose.

The University is an immaculate place with uncharted knowledge awaiting within. I find the campus to be a great manifestation of such magnificent collaboration of all walks of life all in one center.

The cornerstone of activity in Tucson, the UofA's global presence can be felt anywhere you go in town. A gorgeous campus with great outdoor spaces and venues, fantastic event attraction and management, and fantastic architecture.

As a collegiate institution, however, it does have it's faults. Exorbitant fees tacked on to every bloated tuition bill, financial aid is incredibly hit or miss, and as a Veteran, the VA outreach center and staff were not at all exemplary in 2011-2013.

Beautiful, meticulous, but think it is best for in-state residents. There were some parts of the school, tour which did not speak to me. Our tour guide was wonderful but just do not think it is a school for my son. I think it's a little too hot but think it is a wonderful thing for in-state students.

I had the worst college experience at U of A. The business program was not even at a high school level. The professors had no idea how to manage a classroom. I never showed up to class and still got all A's and B's. Oh and if you want a good party school don't go here unless you want to pay hundreds of dollars to join a Greek organization. I transferred to ASU after my first year and that was the best decision of my life. That whole "school" can bear down on my wiener.

I highly recommend this school. I was so happy I transferred here. My advisors were the best and most helpful. If they did not know the answer to my questions they would direct me to who to contact or they would get in touch with the right people themselves. The classes were good. I do think the math department could be set up a little differently but other than that I ve learned so much.

Nice

Spent two years there getting the run around from their engineering department. They like to think their program is extremely competitive. However I couldn't get one advisor of the 4 I met with to help me layout a course map of the classes I needed to take to transfer into their Engineering program. Other students even got recommended to take the 100 level Engineering courses but not 1 advisor ever mentioned that option to me. Worst advising experience.

UA is a party school at its core. Academics are in the second or third tier, but they charge no less than a pound of flesh. The fierce loyalty it inspires is typically due in part to the athletic programs or recent graduates who are eager to justify their bad investment. Many of the degrees offered here are worth less than the paper. Tucson is full of UA grads working as waiters or retail cashiers.

There are some graduate level programs of interest at UA, but if you are a prospective parent looking at schools for your urchins, caveat emptor. This campus is a liberal "safe space" where ideas outside of the politically correct orthodoxy are viewed with increasing disdain.
