I got random phone call from a rude guy at 8:35am this morning, who was very condescending. He straight away said to me that I do not qualify for the role and I should not even dare to apply for a position in a slightly different industry like it was a part of his introduction spiel. Then tried to interview me asking a series of pathetic questions like I have nothing in my background and the role is too important for me, when I mentioned I have other opportunities he hung up on me.

He also made it sound like Financial Planning is not a prestigious occupation like Commercial Banking which to me is drastic. We are fiduciaries and Bankers are not - no challenge and no responsibility.

I'm a Financial Advisor with all the credentials and I uphold the highest standards in the industry. There are currently less than 18,000 Financial Advisors in the nation who are struggling to obtain the new credentials and meet the compliance requirements post Royal Commission and the numbers are decreasing

Since I have started in the industry, I have signed over $100 million FUM from onboarding clients and I am responsible for this. I average around $1 million FUM per week from onboarding clients. I can earn upwards of $300,000 p.a. and upwards of $1,000,000 p.a. if I partner with a firm. There is no reason for me to even pursue the Commercial Banking direction if I do not want to as Financial Planning would be a far superior career pathway.

I know far better human resource agencies who can refer me to top firms and I do not require your help.
