The gym facilities and classes at the Reebok Sport...
The gym facilities and classes at the Reebok Sports Club are world class and these facilities deserve top marks. The changing room staffs are extremely helpful and do a fantastic job at keeping the ladies facilities immaculate. The personal trainers are also very friendly and always on hand to give advice and instruction on the equipment or your technique.
Sadly, I had to deduct two points because of the on-going issues in the pool. This gym is not for anyone who swims seriously. The pool has clear directional signs showing the direction members should swim, however, there is apparently an unwritten policy that allows members to swim in any direction when the lanes are either empty or have two people swimming in them. This unwritten policy results in frequent crashes or interrupted swims by members asking you to stop following the directions of the signs and to swim in a direction that they would prefer; which ruins any structured training plans.
This is further compounded by the lifeguards, who are unable to monitor lane discipline because they spend the majority of their time on their iPads.
There is one member of staff who really stands out and that is Scott Carr. Because of the issues I had experienced and the total lack of response from customer services, I was about to cancel my membership when I starting chatting to Scott. Even though it wasn t Scott s job, he went out of his way to help me and even escalated it to the MD.
Although the pool issues are still on-going, I ve chosen to remain a member because of the way Scott looked after me.
Scott is truly an asset to the Reebok gym!
