This hotel is simply wonderful, even though I only arrived the night before.
Super nice owner and staff. Charming period building with very comfy rooms and facilities.
The breakfast is to die for - delicious and plenty of it .
The location is on the main high street of the charming town of Newport Pagnell, just a 15 mins bus ride to Milton Keynes and MK railway station.
This place is a must stay for visitors to this are.

Typical Old England style, town hotel. Even if the hotel has no garage, there is a free public parking, just close to it. Internal restaurant offers very good and tasty English meals. Rooms are a little bit tiny and in some cases sport training is required to reach them. Breakfast is good and generous. Even if the rooms are along the main street, there is no disturbing noise during the night.

Had an excellent meal last night the chips were perfect the starter was a feast for the eyes as well as the taste, the Friday steak and wine deal is not to be missed plus live music every other week on Fridays possibly the best place to eat in Newport Pagnell.

Very tired, very dated. The toilets in the room have a terrible aroma. I would not stay here again and I stay in at least 2 hotels per week. Breakfast was not great either with items not available off the menu.
The staff all seem OK apart from the pig ignorant young receptionist. When I complained she said "oh, can I have your card"?. The place needs gutting or knocking down and starting again. Highly not recommended. Next time I would upgrade by sleeping rough on the streets.

Only stayed one night with work, but a well presented traditional British style hotel. Rates seemed good, bathroom was modern and decoration was good. Breakfast was fine and staff curtious.

Polite friendly staff. Great meal in the restaurant. Room was a little small but clean. Bed was comfy. Slightly noisy but nothing too bad. An elegant old building in the center of Newport Pagnell.

wedding and reception all in one place. great night staff (special mention to Wendy) absolutely fantastic. catered entirely with what the Bride wished for, and where not in a hurry to kick any guests out at the designated times. everyone enjoyed themselves and commented positively on the way they were treated and looked after.

The staff were very friendly and the room was well kept and spacious with a comfortable bed. They were very helpful about highlighting vegan breakfast options, but there was nothing vegan on the dinner menu, this would be a welcome addition as I ended up going somewhere else but would have preferred to eat in. The location was good for my purpose, but the carpark is small, so I ended up parking on street in front, which is free overnight, but you need to leave by 08:00, keep this in mind if you're staying for anything other than business.

We mistakenly booked the wrong meal but have been accommodated wonderfully. A special meal celebrating our 55th Valentines Day together was excellent in spite if our 'senior' mistake. Thank you

what's great about the Swan Revived is that it gives you 'a little bit more'. Yes the rooms are better/different, yes the food is excellent, and yes the atmosphere is all you would expect from a hotel steeped in history. I've used it for all those things many times - but there are other pluses too ... as a place to meet business contacts over coffee, a bar to seal the deal with a glass or two, or the use of a fully-equipped conference room for larger events. Like I say, it's a place that comes with a little bit more!

This hotel has history and provides a unique old world English countryside experience. The hotel does have modern tv, and there is a very weak wifi/Internet available. It sits right in the heart of Newport Parnell, with a many local old More

It was the first time I went there with my Mum as part of her church. We were part of a group of 18.
The staff that evening were very friendly and polite. The service was fast and on time. The meal was lovely - compliment to the chef.
Will definitely go back there again.

Stayed here for one night sat 16th september 2017.was going to book ramada.l was meeting some old friends from years ago and needed to be near the pub where we were meeting.when l looked on the map the swan revived was across the road from the canon pub where l needed to be.l booked it for that reason, no taxis needed, parking easy.when l arrived, nice welcome and l was really happy about the lovely double room.very comfortable bed and pillows, my wife was delighted.nice bar downstairs good breakfast.l would 100% stay here again in the future.whenever you book a hotel you are always a bit aprehensive but l took a chance mainly for the location but really loved it.well done to all the staff.thank you.

Food was expensive and although pretty good the same kind of thing can be got in most pubs much cheaper. Waitress was attentive but service was quite slow considering there was only us and 1 other table occupied, god knows how long things would have taken if the place was busy. Wont be rushing back anytime soon.

Stayed here when away with work. Check in was simple and easy - rooms are basic but feature everything you need including tea/coffee facilities and hairdryer. Breakfast is a small affair but the food was very good and was kept hot. Parking out the back is minimal and very tight if you have a large vehicle!

A very disappointing visit.

A very disappointing visit.

I had booked a evening table for a large group of friends, once I arrived music was so loud before I had even entered the building. Children were screaming and playing all over the floor, felt I had walked into a playground.
At the bar when we ordered drinks for a large amount of people I was then told they were not accepting card payments that night only cash. I think the hotel should of phoned us before hand to make us aware.
In the restaurant the staff was not friendly. The A la carte menu advertised on the website was actually a pub menu (burgers, scampi, Chill con carne).
We ordered King Prawns for starters - No garlic butter sauce with them, just plain nothing else with them. They had a very strong smell, once opened the prawns they were brown inside. We told the staff that they were gone off and pointed the obvious concerns, once she returned from the kitchen she said they were fresh in that morning.

In all my life this is the worst hotel I've ever been too. I was so embarrassed to had taken my friend to such a terrible place.

Please take my advice, avoid!

Booked a superior room through expedia. Room was large, bright, clean and full of character. On booking, reception professionally and promptly advised that hotel parking wouldn't be available owing to a special event, but provided an acceptable alternative. Breakfast was self serve: pastries, juice choice, cereals; endless tea and coffee delivered to the table. Hot breakfast sausages, bacon, mushroom, tomatoes, scrambled egg, and beans. Cooked in small batches with regular refills, so everything was fresh. Downside was that at peak times, not all items were available at the same time. Would have liked to have been offered the option of a friend egg, but otherwise a nice fresh breakfast in comfortable surroundings. Friendly, polite, unprofessional staff. Would recommend.

We visited her for afternoon tea on a Sunday afternoon and loved it. Food was delicious and the setting was perfect, where better to have traditional afternoon tea than in a true old English hotel. Homemade sarnies and cakes were tasty and I ve never had scones so light and fluffy. Wow and wow will be back
