Horrible place.
went to ER here for complicated pregnancy issue. Couple of the nurses and a doctor were nice. Although slow as heck. Didn t tell me anything about my results, but kept ordering tests.
The ULtrasound technician in ER was the worst experience I had here. She was just absolutely heartless and awful . She got annoyed at me because I was bleeding and literally said will you just get back into bed told me I could not have phone in the room and demanded I put it away (I was texting family to let them know what was going on as I had been waiting several hours for ultrasound and my husband was waiting in the car worried. They wouldn t let him come in due to Covid). I would love to file a formal complaint against her but by the reviews most people here have had terrible experiences. I spend half the day in a dirty bed I was bleeding heavily. Do not go here, worst hospital I have been to.

This hospital is the worst. I've been here for 5 hours. Nothing in an attempt to help me with my issue. My M.S is relapsing & I'm still just sitting in the ER.

Took grandma here to their ER couple times, once even hopitalized. Very impressed with their facilities and professionalism. Top notch!

Nurse Brianna (CPU) knew my family member was declining but didn't give family a call. I called to request to facetime w/ my grandfather, and he was already unresponsive. I called her and told her he was unstable and unresponsive. Then, she went to check on the patient. She knew he has a history of hypertension, and since vital signs are taken ever 15 minutes, she would have known that he was declining with a BP in the 70s, and then he was in asystole soon after the facetime. No one was allowed at the bedside, until the patient had already passed away. She requested for family to be at the bedside AFTER the patient had passed. Unfortunately, no one was able to say their last goodbyes.

My dad was a patient here and the Doctors/ Nurses were too busy to explain my fathers condition to his family. .My father was transported in a ambulance from Oakland campus to Ashby campus in Berkeley without his wallet and cell phone . We weren't notified until 2 days later. even though a day after my father was transported I called and spoke to someone about the ceramic vase and flowers that were missing. "which were never found". .Not a good place

Their ER dept is great. The nursing service during the night was horrible. It took 2 hours for them to address my relative's irregular breathing and she was having another heart attack. She died. My relative wasn't a donor but Sutter kept harassing me for her skin after she died with multiple phone calls, telling that it was only a 1/4" that they take from her body. The level of insensitivity is astounding.

If you can avoid this hospital and go to another one, do it.

The bills were outrageous and once I thought they were all paid, I got additional ones because the hospital uses third party services. When complaining to friends, they pointed out the 60 minutes reporting on the hospital and its practices to over charge people to an absurd amount. Avoid them if you can!!!

Was in contact with the doctor for less than 5 minutes and endured a $900 out of pocket bill after insurance deductions. Paid another insane amount to see a specialist because the ER did not do all the tests and discharged me without proper medications or directions.

I had 2 major surgeries at Summit which were probably life-saving! It's a very busy hospital.

A company is made up of the people who work there. Dr. Joseph B. Nakhleh's behavior is very shocking and very unacceptable. What doctor would tell a very ill patient, "this is not a hotel." He is just the opposite of what a physician should be and how a physician should act. Treat people the way that you want to be treated. The leadership, David Clark and Dr. Ursula Boynton are very poor examples of leadership. We have yet to hear anything back from them regarding Dr. Nakhleh's behavior. I would NOT recommend this hospital. Period.

Don t go to the emergency room here your better off dying
