Great location, traditional pub grub. We sat outside with the dog and the views were lovely. Didn't go inside so can't comment on that, but the food and drinks were excellent so we would definitely go back.
Great place to stop for a drink and a bite to eat upon Strines moor. We usually stop here on the way back from the peak District. The beer garden has several peacocks roaming around and a few Squirrels which are entertaining to watch, food is good and reasonable priced and the staff are friendly and accomadating. If siting outside in the summer there can be a lot of gnats and midges about so take some insect repellant.

Pleasant surroundings and staff. The food was outstanding, home made and tastey. The views from this place are something else. Worth a visit.

Beautiful place in a beautiful location. The roads there are equally good. Also a place where you don't need your phone, there's no coverage anyway :)
Staff always friendly, food always top notch. Lovely fire too. One of our favourite places to eat.
Easy to social distance. Tables well spread out. Only one person allowed inside at a time. Well thought out covid 19 precautions. Felt safe. Peacocks were a bonus
