Found Sandwich Hut on Google Maps as the family was becoming quite hangry and needed something other than the typical fast food. I ordered everything online from my phone as we arrived and it was ready 20 minutes later. The sandwiches were delicious and I really liked the convince for ordering pick up online. Thanks for saving me from my hangry pack!
I don't know how they win the best sandwich place last year,. I don't get it.
Great sandwich shop that has been around forever. The Alitalia (an Italian sub, or a "grinder" as they call it in Rhode Island) is fantastic. It's a hole in the wall where nothing has been changed in decades... and that's the appeal!
Always a good place for a good sandwich & the bread is always soo soft! Friendly staff too! Go see Em she makes a mean sandwish

Good sandwiches. Timely service. Prices are a bit on the higher side, compared to the sandwich portion size, the type of establishment, and its location. Its pretty much a to-go place. Wish they had offered more bread and cheese choices, most sandwich shops in this price range offer more options these days.
I normally have a wonderful great experience. I haven't gotten sandwich hut since Covid. I had a TERRIBLE experience today. I placed my order, when I arrived, I went to the pick up window and was greeted by a miserable employee that asked me "what can I help you with " in the most aggravated tone. I let him know I was here to pick up my order, and I had my credit card in hand to be able to pay. I thought this would be convenient to have it handy since they were "busy". He rudely told me, well I'm going to help another client BEFORE you... Is that alright with you!?
The amount of attitude I received, when I'm bringing business to the company YOU work for, is unacceptable.
Not only this, but after he handed the other man his bag of food... He just stared at me.... Didn't say a word, just stared at me... I couldn't hear or see if he was talking, due to his mask and the wind outside. After a few seconds, he finally asked for my name on the order... Which means he wasn't talking, he WAS just staring at me angrily for NO REASON.
He took my card, stopped.... Looked at me and asked if I had a problem!!!!??? Like as if I was the rude person.... I'm just here to pick up my sandwich!!
Getting home, the quality of this sandwich is NOTHING like the quality I used to receive at sandwich hut. There's barely any meat and veggies on my deluxe sandwich. At least they toasted it correctly.
Tried this place for the first time; why have I waited so long? Parking on North Main is easy, and during the pandemic, they offer the food through a window that opens to the sidewalk; easy peasy and no need to go inside. I got a very substantial Sriracha Fried Chicken sub that made me cry (in a good way). And the potato salad was very good. Will definitely be back to try other sandwiches.
2 sandwiches took an hour. Place was not busy and customers were getting agitated. Charged me $15 for the large brisket so I had high expectations. Sandwich had very little meat, about the same as you'd put on a ham sandwich at home. Not appropriate to this price at all. Meat was full of gristle. Not high quality, not roasted long enough to make it tender. Cheese and pickle did not suit the meat at all. Ate the bread and tossed the filling in the garbage. Do not intend to return.
Great sandwiches. You're missing out if you don't stop by the hut. Order online too.
