Great venue..the concession food is way overpriced.
Amazing venue was lucky enough to see Wintersleep at the Indie88 band and a movie event. The staff was amazing, great sound quality for the concert. The venue has a great vibe. Prices for food and drinks where below chain theater prices and a good selection. Great popcorn. Also found the seats very comfortable as they recline and have very thick padding.
Cozy, old-school theatre on College that I didn't even know existed. Reminds me of what the Bloor Theatre was like before it became Hot Docs. Lots of funny, niche events happen here. Mostly writing this review to vouch for Screen Queens, one of the most fun outings I've been on in recent memory. Monthly event with live drag queen commentary throughout our favourite movies ft. Muskoka beer and drinking games. Last month was Home Alone; this month is Titanic. Highly recommended for anyone with a sense of humour!
The place has grown and parking can sometimes be an issue but the mall keeps making more space. Never not had a spot.
Awesome movie theatre. Great atmosphere for catching some more obscure flix on the big screen. Nice concession area with treats, sugary drinks, popcorn, and beers. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, what's not to like.
Had to wait more than an hour, the staff explained why the delay was for, they are courteous and very pleasant to talk. Finally when got into the theater very comfortable seats to sit and watch the movie. Enjoyed watching telugu movie here.
Great local theater!
Came here for a free showing of Elf as part of their free flick Monday promotions! Getting in was quick, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great! I can definitely feel the local love as there was a gentleman who spoke to the crowd at the beginning to let us know of upcoming events and to thank us for coming which was great - you definitely won't get that from a big movie chain.
To support the theater, we got some popcorn and some drinks. Cost is affordable with a large popcorn being $7 and a large pop at $6. You can also get alcohol which was a bonus! Beer and wine at $8 a can/cup and spirits were $10. Side note - it's tax inclusive!
The only reason why I gave only 4 stars is because we were watching Elf - a kids movie. Unfortunately, the previews were R-rated with smoking, shooting, nudity, etc. I understand that they need to promote upcoming features but it was definitely inappropriate and I'm sure a lot of parents feel the same way,
This place is wonderful.
Support local genre theatres!
