Good, old fashioned, wholesome recipes and decent sized portions for the mains. Excellent fish entrees, but pastas while excellent, are a touch small though. Pricey but you get what you pay for. Friendly service. Excellent. In my opinion, given its picturesque riverside location and the ambience, lunch is a better experience than dinner.

Enjoyed our recent visit but not as much as previous visits. Something seemed to be off/happened and as a result the service side seemed to be out of balance.

The good: the lamb and aubergine main was up there with one of the best dishes I've had this year. The aubergine was melt in your mouth.

The okay : the rest of the dishes. All were nice but I can't say they were standout from other Italian restaurants at this price point.

The disappointing : the service, not sure if we were in some mere mortals section but it wasn't like previous visits. Nobody to help with the wine which was a shame as last time we were directed to a great white which we now buy regularly. Dishes were just plonked down and wisked away seconds after the last bite (or what became the last bite).

Just a bit of a shame for the money. Can't fault the food but tough to swallow at those prices.

A fantastic restaurant in a quiet spot on the river. The staff really take their time to get to know the menu and as a result are very helpful and passionate about the food. For lunch I would recommend a Antipasti and a Primi followed by a dessert! The lemon tart is lovely! We looked at the Secondi which are the mains and they were quite large portions! It really is good, simple, honest Italian food and the best pasta I have had!

This is a beautiful cafe/restaurant on the water within St. George's Wharf. Easy to get to from Vauxhall Tube (I think it's exit 1) with good food, nice staff, and a simply fantastic location. You can book out part of the cafe for free More

Spectacular. Tremendous. Impeccable.

Spectacular. Tremendous. Impeccable.

The only only thing I might venture to criticize is the sharpness of their steak knives. They could be a bit sharper so you wouldn t have to scrape the plate so much when cutting. I know that sounds insane. It s the only thing I could think to criticize in a perfect meal.

The best dinner I ve ever had in London.

Frightfully bad, the service was also friendly. We were so happy. Too bad, the Italian around the corner we would have eaten better. Am a bit surprised by the other good reviews ... We fought with rancid oil on the food and some of the food was not flavored. Our worst restaurant in London.

Would definitely recommend this place when the weather is nice as they have a lovely patio. The staff are incredibly attentive and service takes just the right amount of time (so you don't feel rushed). Prices are on the more expensive side, and dishes are not very adventurous (all quite standard flavour pairings. e.g. spinach and ricotta ravioli). Portion sizes are also on the smaller side, so think quality over quantity. The interior decor is very early 2000s, so I'd suggest sitting outside for a better ambiance. The restaurant is also known to attract celebrities (some of which we saw during our visit) but everyone's privacy is recommended! The food and wine is nice-- so would recommend it as a place to try if you're a London local.

I was quite disappointed with both the food and service to be honest. Of course, I had high expectation as it has a Michelin star. However, the seasoning of the food kinda put me off. I had roast lamb leg meat but all I tasted was saltiness and bitterness. The service was rushed. No one even came up asking us how did we like the meal before/when we got the check. The space was a bit too full with very little space between the tables. We certainly paid for a Michelin-star bill, but I didn't think we had the Michelin-star experience.

Update on below situation: owner Ruth Rogers called and basically told me that I should ve acted more like a grown woman. She also said there are many other restaurants in London you can go to, you don t have to come to mine. Go at your own risk!

They are great for any meal, but I had breakfast there this time. Such a selection including creamed chipped beef, biscuits and gravy, potato pancakes, waffles, pancakes, egg scrambles, eggs benedict, and so much more. It has charming Cape style decor with a series of small rooms and little nooks and crannies, a bar area, and outdoor seating with shade.

I'd been wanting to go here for some time, but had been saving it until white truffle season, as I'd seen last year on their menu they featured several dishes with white truffles, and there are actually very few places in London where you can find this delicacy.

From the moment I called to the moment we left the restaurant I was extremely impressed with their staff who seemed to be really going out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. I mentioned this to the lady on the front desk - everybody seemed so knowledgeable and so upbeat - and she put it down to how well treated the staff are, something Ruth Rogers apparently takes very seriously.

As for the food, our starters were fantastic - I had mozzarella with some crostini (one topped with mashed chickpeas, the other with cavolo nero - easily my favourite brassica). This was really excellent. They use olive oil of a really exceptional quality, and even the bread that came on the side was delicious.

I'd like to firstly say that my husband and I are used to fine dining and regularly eat at high end restaurants, therefore this review is not because we are unfamiliar with the environment, price or food that comes along with fine dining. More
