We spent 5 nights here during Spring Break. I really wanted to love this place but in the end it was a disappointment. Worst of all, my child left the property having contracted a horrible rash from bacteria in the swimming pool - her entire torso is covered. The property is gorgeous and the staff are wonderful (not perfect but friendly and most try their best), but in the end the experience fell considerably short of expectations. Venetian Village is lovely and with excellent food, but it's not actually part of the hotel so you can't even charge the food to your room and it's extremely expensive. The description of the kids club online and in the brochure they give you upon request is 100% misleading. The reality is little more than a couple TVs, a few dirty toys and people wearing shoes where the kids are playing. The splash pad outside was nice and we liked the small but sufficient beach. We told them we were celebrating my birthday before we came and when we booked high tea and they never even offered a piece of cake. Friday brunch was ok (good for kids though). It took us 2 days and 4 or 5 tries to switch the pillows as my children have asthma and allergies. We were overcharged for ice cream. The hall outside our room smelled of BBQ shisha charcoal. Poolside was dirty with trash and hard to get anyone to clean it. No one ever brought water, offered a menu for food or anything. We had to chase the guy down to get towels for the loungers and by the last day just gave up and got them ourselves. Very loud music late into the night on weekends. Room service breakfast was good but forgot half the food we ordered. With so many options in the UAE I would give it a hard pass. Definitely not Ritz Carlton standard.

This is s very nice high-end hotel convenient to the grand mosque and adnec. Service quality and rooms are good. I didn t really care for the food though. I stayed at the Shanghai-la across the canal the year before and prefer it. I like the atmosphere better.

We loved our stay at the Ritz! The hotel is amazing and the staff is wonderful. They are doing their best to be at your service and be there before even asking. The pool is very big and the beach area also is well maintained. Breakfast buffet is super. Highly recommended!

We came to Abu Dhabi for a club trip (company rewards program). We stayed on the 6th or 7th floor center of the hotel overlooking the pool with a view of the canal. The room is as expected of Ritz. The foyer and lobby area breezy and exquisite. Don't forget to stop by and have some complimentary dates everyday. You can sample and see whether you want to pick some up to take back home. Breakfast is good. It was just way too hot (April) for us to go swimming but people were swimming. The bars/restaurants along the canal were all good and the bars opened late. The exec lounge is a must if you can get access to it. The views are beautiful. And wake up early and walk across to the Grand Mosque.
I can't tell if this location is convenient because we were driven everywhere. The Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zaya Nurai Island day trip, we took a personal trip to downtown Abu Dhabi. Most of these places you had to drive, not close. It's a secluded type location, not in walking distance to anywhere. We had a few parties in the ball room (800 people), the ball room is grand. Had a private party (about 30 people) on the beach, that was grand too.
