Pelican Hill never gets old. Whenever we have visitors or just want to get away for a bit, enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine and take in the great views of the ocean & Catalina, the Caffe is a great place to unwind and watch the world go by. Signs will STRONGLY encourage you that it is Valet parking ONLY, but you can self park in the undercover parking or even on the main road, unless valet parking when just grabbing a drink is really your thing

Beautiful property with friendly and professional staff. Everything you want or need for a weekend getaway. Lovey golf course, and excellent food and the various dining locations. The reservation team is also top notch. They were able to answer and resolve any issues I had.
Whoa! Can't wait to return! Booked this hotel for a terrific rate at . I love this resort and I'm really happy I stayed at my favorite place for less than what I typically pay.
Stellar place. My wife and I had the pleasure of staying in one of the bungalows right after our wedding and it couldn't have been more comfortable. The staff was incredibly polite and professional, all the way from checking us in, shuttling us to our room, providing room service, and checking us out. Props to Gavin, the concierge, for arranging everything and making our stay so memorable. We will definitely be back!
Stayed here 2 weeks ago. The service did not justify the price. Our room was fabulous, the property appeared very well maintained and most staff were very pleasant. However, there was not an abundance of staff who were enthusiastically, proactively going the extra mile. Just one example...we asked a bellhop to have our golf clubs brought to the golf club for our round the next morning. He was beyond hesitant to indicate he would take care of it. Also, multiple times I waited on the phone for more than 15 minutes to place a room service order. The starter at the golf club was not service oriented at all. I asked him if there was water on the carts and he said no, but that there was a chest of water near the range and I could go get myself some over there. I don't mind getting water out of an ice chest, but the manner in which he said it was "if I want it, I'll need to go get it" as opposed to saying, "I'll get some water for your cart, how many bottles would you like". The spa was enjoyable and the staff there were nice. It would have been nice for my wife and good for Pelican Hill if the spa shop would have been open or someone would have opened it for her to shop. Again, none of the staff were nasty, but many were indifferent and when you're paying the kind of room rates, green fees and spa fees that Pelican Hill charges, you expect a much higher service level. I tried to contact the general manager after our stay. I left him two voicemails with no response. Not something that I would expect from a premium resort.
Visit a friend who stayed here for a business meeting a couple of days ago and paid half the accommodation rate. For the price of staying here ($500+/night), the room is fantastic. It's a lovely resort. I'd like to be around again, even if it's only to eat and take in the scenery every now and again. JUST A GORGEOUS LARGE PROPERTY.
In their facility, parking is free. The coliseum serves excellent meals (pricey). It would be lovely to have a celebration here. The atmosphere around the massive pool was my absolute favorite. Other than that, everything was fine. The view and vibe were both excellent. Definitely worth checking.
