I wish I could help. Not my job

I wish I could help. Not my job

We were told by locals to avoid this place but we were curious from driving by for decades (also it was the only room we could find on a peak weekend).

The room was fine. Everyone was friendly-ish. But it s not the resort it pretends to be.

It s more like staying in a roadside motel that s grown larger than its management can accommodate so they keep the services extremely limited and treat reasonable requests like wild demands. There s a palpable fear in all the employees one can only imagine comes from a punishing schedule and strict oversight.

Remember to use H . when booking any resort. This site will compare countless booking web sites and typically will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This hotel is one of the best in this area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't be let down.

Amazing! Authentic colonial charm with incredible staff. It is like staying in a piece of history.

Our family honestly loved it. We appreciated the heated pool, the commons area of our building, the room, walking around the town, and so much more. I'm sure we'll be back to visit once again. Fall was a great time to be here.

So disappointed and disheartened. The Red Lion Inn has always been a very special place for me and I travel an hour and a half many times a year to dine here. This evening, while sitting at the bar, the bartender lost his temper and yelled at a server, which totally ruined my meal and experience. It was completely unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable. I did not feel the server deserved this public display of harassment. The server stayed totally professional and did not exacerbate the situation. Though the food was good, our meal was totally ruined.

Entering it was crowded.. No one at the hosting station for over five minutes luckily our party was seated and saw us. The menu was not in any way impressive and so overpriced for what it was I was in awe. Chicken sandwich with garlic mayo on a bun from a bag 18 dollars with fries.. My advice.. Go in have a drink take in the history and say you been there.
Historical yes 5 stars
Wait staff And service 4 stars ( 5 stars is La Bernidets i.e. a waiter for each person) so very good
Food 3 stars.. Not original and boring plate for the price.
Price - even for the atmosphere 3 stars.

A very old hotel with too many issues, such as non working outlets in the room, 10 wasted running water before it gets hot (seriously), heat not working in the room, peeling paint on outside. Even considering this is an historic hotel, those issues should be taken care of! Some staff were amazingly helpful but some had an attitude. Has a full restaurant but no room service. Don't come here without a car if you need anything beyond basic gift shop items. Very small shelf refrigerator in my closet, but not most other rooms.

Reliable wonderful New England dinners in a lovely room. Always a favorite. Halibut is a winner. As is the strip steak. If you are looking for solid, great food is a traditional historic setting, this is your place. Lovely staff.
