Friendly and helpful staff, hotel a little dated and rundown. We didn't have a working phone or remote for tv. We were promised one but as we only stayed 1 night didn't matter too much when neither phone or remote arrived. Wouldn't say value for money on either accommodation or food. Although the food was nice and accommodation was acceptable. Unfortunately the above issues will stop us from recommending. There are many other simular priced hotels with higher standards and value for money. Can be crowded if event happening.

Would not recommend using for a once in a lifetime special occasion.
Poor planning, co-ordination and delivery.
Customer facing service has room for improvement.
The devil is in the detail and on this occasion the devil definitely had the upper hand.
If you have a special occasion to celebrate, please make your choices wisely.

Was at the hotel for a wedding and as a venue it was great with brilliant service for the reception. For a single night the room was OK with the beds being comfy and the room being in a good condition.
Don't know if I would choose to stay otherwise but for a wedding it was brilliant.

Had our Christmas Party on Saturday the 15th. Serving the food was very poor, out main course was served and waited for the Veg to turn up. 20 mins later it arrived, and then the food was Cold. And then the service at the Bar was rubbish also, 1 member of staff serving drinks and taken at least 15 mins to get a drink. Overall the experience of the hotel after travelling from bristol for my Staff Christmas Party was very poor.

Afternoon tea - very disappointing. Inadequate quantity of sandwiches for 4 people. Sandwiches were not freshly made and were dried out. Scones were stale. No butter. Jam and cream were served in recycled jam jars. Only 1 teaspoon of cream per person. Other cakes were half an individual lemon flan each, 1 mini macaroon each, 1 mini eclair each - all were straight out of the supermarket and not homemade. No choice of teas - only 1 type of decaffineated. Coffee was mediocre in quality. We took friends there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Came away very disappointed and embarrassed in front of our friends. Would not recommend this place. Waitress was polite, courteous and friendly - no problem with her.

Went for a wedding reception. Nice to have the spacious grounds especially for the children to run around. But, there is danger fun the river so check that out to be sure it's safe for you. MC was not around when they should have been so disappointed with that.

Rooms need updating, air conditioning doesn't work. Staff were great especially when serving our three course meal and at reception/bar staff. Breakfast was poor considering the price of the rooms. Hotel needs modernisation urgently.

Had my husband's work Christmas party here. Lovely place, the food was excellent and the drinks not too expensive. Everyone had a really good time at the event. Beautifully decorated for Christmas. The rooms were extremely comfortable and we had a super king bed. Powerful shower. Would definitely stay again given the chance.

Great Sunday lunch would have been 5 stars but the the poor waitress she needed help and training. We had to ask for the dish of veg as it was forgotten, twice for pepper and 3 times for our wine. Wine came just as we were finishing our meal. The meal was lovely so we forgave the service. The table cloths were spotless so were the cutlery and glasses.

I was very disappointed with the afternoon tea. My daughter wanted to join me and my mum so I called earlier in the day to increase to 3. When the selection of sandwiches and cakes arrived we were shocked. For saying thus was a 5 star country hotel we were given one finger of packet ham sandwich each, one cheese and onion finger sandwich each and one very small circle bagett with egg mayonnaise. The three scones were luke warm. The selection of cakes offered three carrot cake triangles, three macaroons, three shortbread but only two half strawberries (one of which was mushy and got not be eaten) and two very small slices if chocolate brownie. My daughter and I had one pit of coffee to share and mum had a pot of tea to herself. During the whole hour we sat not one member of staff approached us to ask if everything was ok. Mum's tea was getting cold and we ran out of coffee.
When I went to pay I stated my disappointment and the male member of staff just said I apologise if you are disappointed and continued with the credit card payment. When I returned to the table a lady who only just started her shift asked if everything was ok so we explained our disappointment and without hesitation she went and spoke to the manager and returned saying they would refund the extra I paid for my daughter. I will not purchase another voucher for Quorn Country Hotel. Also the ladies toilet was disgusting

Went as part of a group for afternoon tea. Ample parking, lovely setting, staff were very friendly and helpful. Tea was served in the conservatory which was very well presented. Nice selection of food and drinks, all were delicious. Would definitely recommend this experience and plan to return in the future. Well done.

Presentation of "Afternoon Tea" was placed directly in our conversation
view. I had to chase the waitress for top up for tea and the cakes weren't as good as a previous visit. (filling and presentations of sandwiches)

Lovely location in Quorn, set in nice grounds with plenty of parking. Staff were friendly, but seemed very overwhelmed and understaffed. Room was clean and tidy, although the bed was very uncomfortable. Food was nice, but took an age to order - same both even meal and breakfast. Booked for three nights, stopped two...

My wife, family and in-laws went for a afternoon tea at the Hotel.

Despite the hotel being quiet we were placed in a windowless annex, which was dark and hot.

After bringing the tea and wine, the staff disappeared. After 1/2 an hour and the tea long cold I had to find someone to bring the rest of the sandwiches and cake. The sandwiches were good but unexceptional. The cakes and scones were average going on stodgy

The cream tea should of been an experience, instead we would of had better if we bought cakes from Tesco, locked ourselves up in a broom cupboard, and went out every half and hour to make our own tea.

Not worth the money even with a Amazon discount. One to avoid.

Garden nice though

2 courses Sunday Lunch with Wine for 2 using groupon.

We purchased a groupon for Sunday lunch here and booking was very easy and smooth from the groupon site.

Arrived to a beautiful hotel and lots of space for parking here.

Sunday lunch menu is different on groupon site also different from their own website. I am guessing they change the menu quite regularly which is a good thing.

The setting is beautiful in a conservatory but it was a little bit hot today.

As we have baby and a toddler we swap the wine to sparking water and coffee.

We had 2 starters and 2 mains and we were stunned... it was the best Sunday lunch since we moved back to uk. Portion is a little small but the food presentation and taste is absolutely amazing for this price.

We didn t have the dessert as we were in a bit of a hurry for our next appointment.

Overall staffs are very friendly and food was beautifully done, the one star I knocked off is for the heat there and if I have to pay full price.

Would give a 5 start for a groupon price.

We will definitely be going again maybe when it s a bit cooler.

A wonderful traditional English hotel.

A wonderful traditional English hotel.
I got married here in 2017, so holds a special place in my heart. What a great day it was.
The staff are very helpful and friendly.
The rooms, whilst a little old, are spacious with character.

Food was very good.
Personally we were a bit dissapointed as we booked a meal for our 28th wedding anniversary and the ambiance was far from romantic.

Went there to celebrate my son's 21st Birthday. When booking, we checked with Jamie, the food and Beverage Manager that they would offer vegetarian options from their 2 menus and would cater for disabled access for one of our party of 6 who was in a wheelchair. When we got there (and this place is 2 hours drive from our home), they hadn't catered for a lower ground table abd couldnt offer the 2 menus for the vegetarian options (for 2 of our party). So started very disappointingly, however the service was good, and when we requested some flexibility on vergtarian choices, the chef made some great dishes for everyone in our party. We were very pleased that they did look after us and appreciated the service. We ordered some lovely champagne and sancerre which was delicious. We will definitely try the hotel again and hope they can meet our expectations next time. Thank you.

Hotel looked great however catering for 2 weddings so afraid those that were not at weddings were poorly catered for. Breakfast 1st morning cold! No seating! Next day was slightly better but only slightly after a heated discussion with management. Our room also adjoined function room so had disco etc going on till the small hours. Need to consider all guests. Will not go again, sadly!

Lovely setting, with nice rooms and a great English breakfast. The service however was shocking, cold beer, used beer bottles and glasses around the premises, no toilet paper in room or by reception. Service staff didn't know there elbows from there bottoms.

I attended for a wedding fair with my fiancee. We found plenty of useful contacts and information there including our florist and some balloons for our top table. I would recommend the wedding fairs at the hotel based on my experience.
