Original Q Shack is the best barbecue in the area! Good brisket can be hard to find, but as long as you visit Q Shack, it ll be consistently tender and delicious. I can t get enough of the fried okra and other sides. Be prepared to wait on Friday and Saturday nights, but I promise it s worth the wait!
Great bbq. We had the Tailgate #2 for our sons birthday party. Good service from the employees.
Maybe I should try it again, and then review it. I only ate it once, it could of been an off day... When I go back hopefully I can give 5 stars.
Was able to order ahead. Food was ready when I arrived. And the food was DELICIOUS!!! Employees were helpful and friendly. First time here, will definitely return! We got the three meat combo plate and a three sides plate. Did not care for the rub on the chicken, but that is simply a personal preference. The chicken itself was cooked perfectly, very juicy! The jalapeno cheddar sausage was the bomb!
This place is very good. We tried the three meat combo platter so we can have taste of three different meats. The rib was fall off the bone tender, moist and not at all dry. The flavor was excellent. The BBQ port was juicy and tender. Sausage was a disappointment, however. Didn't have a lot of flavor and was kind of dry. The sides were all excellent. We got the collard green, the potato salad, and the fried okra. All were flavorful. Potato salad had bacon bits to add flavor and texture. The hush poppies were some of the best I've had.
There is an indoor seating area, and an outdoor patio under a covering. During these times, a small part of the parking lot was repurposed into several picnic tables. It was a beautiful day when we went. There was no one inside and the outside was almost full. The parking is limited.
It's one of the better BBQ places in the Triangle! Go give it a try!
Just gets better and better. An old favorite from Durham! You have to try it. The ribs are a favorite of mine. Thanks to all of the great folks working at the Q Shack during these tough times
Good filling food. I got the potato with brisket. It was top notch. One of the better BBQ places around and not absurd prices.
So far it's among the best BBQ places we've had in the area. Top 3 so far. Good portions, tasty sauces. Get the three meat special.
Barely any wait around lunch time on a Thursday. Food was absolutely phenomenal. Even got to have peach cobbler!
This was some of the best bbq I have had in a long time. Worth a stop. Definitely try the smoked turkey. Heavenly!
