Let's face it- you get what you pay for but personally since this is my first apartment I wasn't expecting the Taj Mahal. Don't judge it by the outside. I have a spacious interior which for the price is wonderful. 2 bedrooms. Large almost full wall closet in master bedroom, new carpets & lots of kitchen cabinets. Very large pantry. Linen closet in hall, coat closet in living room. Wish bathroom was more up to date, wish kitchen living room & bedrooms had ceiling fans & ac for 2nd bedroom. Includes hot water, heat & cooking gas. Private entrances. Good starter apt. Been here 3+ years.

the laundry facilities are dirty. The heat system, I m not sure how they set it up but it seems to me that they only turn the heat system on during night time and off during daytime; since it s my apartment is freezing during daytime even though we set the controller up to maximum which is 90 degrees, we only feel the hot air comes out at night. Or they might have the heat system on but set it too low during daytime? I don t even know but that is terrible. I got sick 2 times so far, not because of the virus but since my body has been shaking due to the cold everyday. It might he cheaper here but you don t deserve being freezing in your own apartment.
We had a snowstorm a few nights ago and they didn t come around to shovel until after 2pm the next day (after half of the people shoveled their own sidewalks) and they never took care of the parking lot. When you call and ask about what s being done about the ice and snow all you get is attitude from the office. I asked a maintenance man if they were going to salt the sidewalks and he said jesus christ lady do u think i want to be doin this? My car was just stuck on snow in the parking lot for 10 minutes.. and this is 4 days after the snow fell LOL they re really on top of things huh?
I have lived in this apartment complex for 15 years. Maintenance is always friendly and efficient and the office staff, especially Andrea and Merle are always super friendly and accommodating. The apartments are huge and the new management company has been working really hard to fix up the complex and make this a great place to live. I would absolutely recommend this complex to anyone searching for their new home!
Coming here to rent an apartment seemed like the next big step for me and my love until they told us that we aren't allowed to have a dog. Now me and my love spent sometime with the dog and can even say we're starting a family through our journey. That is until the "manager" said we only accept cats. Dogs are not welcomed! She even told me to sell my dog in order for me to live here. I've never met someone more rude and careless about what they had to say it's as if the lady was oblivious.
I was stunned in disbelief because when me and my love signed the application its said that it was "pet friendly" and needless to say the application did not say anything about what specific pet we owned but if we"owned one"- so after signing everything they still made us believe that presidential court accepted a pet. But after all that we move in the apartment and met out next door neighbor who is a dog owner. She's a sweet lady with a beautiful dog that has the privilege of having it in the complex as well as some other residents. I hope that this review would change her mind about me having a pet in this complex
Presidential court apts are the most clean, well kept and spacious apartments around. Management is awesome .I feel safe here and I will recommend them to everyone I know. I have lived here for over 6 years .
The apartments are falling apart. Many maintenances and repairs are needed to their units, but if you request a repair then it will be made at your own expense. They will either charge you a so called upgrade fee or force you to file an insurance claim. When you move out, regardless of how clean you leave the unit, they will access you a cleaning fee or access you some erroneous charges. In addition, they will not return your security deposit. They will do whatever they can to access you an up-charge because their units are in desperate need of repair and they are seeking to re-cop the money for their repairs from their tenants. Meanwhile treating their tenants with total disrespect and disdain while they are leasing their units. The staff members are rude (especially the building manager) disrespectful and dismissive. The units are drafty in the winter and lack ventilation.
Spacious apt, interior is good for the rent, New on-site management is great, Peaceful community, Good apt for family with kids, Philadelphia is nearby for commute by car, Park& ride via PATCO haddonfield station is also a great option, Shopping malls & outlet malls nearby, Overall a happy tenant. I definitely recommend this apt if planning to move in this area...
*DO NOT MOVE HERE* Unless you are really struggling financially or If you are looking for a cheap, transitional apartment that at first glance is nice, then this might be the place for you. However, there are many things wrong with this place.
While the maintenance team is nice, only 2 of them can actually fix things. I think their interview process was Hey do you know what a screwdriver is? And that was it. We ve had to call back maintenance multiple times to fix the same thing because they don t know what they re doing. It took three different men to figure out what was wrong with our toilet, ultimately they just bought a new one after 3 weeks of us not being able to flush our toilet.
When alerting the office that we had a serious grasshopper/cockroach problem, we were met with, Well the exterminator is only here the 1st Tuesday of each month so you have to wait. One month goes by, two months go by, never saw an exterminator. Luckily I have cats who semi took care of the problem.
I won t name names, but the woman who runs the office, who also lives in the complex, is given special treatment and is allowed luxuries in her unit that are worthy of lease termination if other residents did the same. First, she was allowed to move from an upstairs unit to a downstairs, something unavailable for other residents to do if there s a downstairs opening. A special parking spot right next to her front door with a sign that now blocks the walkway that residents used so we didn t have to walk in the street. After all receiving notices about how we aren t allowed to have Christmas trees, she boldly displays her Christmas tree right in her front window! And also a huge part of our lease is that we are not allowed in unit washers and dryers, but can you guess who got her washer/dryer installed in her brand new unit? You guessed it! Unnamed office woman! Only B building at the front edge of the property has a laundry room. For everyone who doesn t live in that building, it is a HAUL. The loads the washers take are so small, and I would spend 20$+ anytime I would do my laundry here. Also they are old, dirty, and don t seem to be cleaned often. So you can see where it s angering to not be able to have my own unit while she gets that luxury.
Upon signing our lease, we were promised snow/ice removal. Nice right? WRONG. Following this blizzard we just had, after people have already left for work and trudged through the snow and ice left on our property, now 24 hours after the start of snow, they decide to salt the ground. We have a lot of elderly people who live in this complex and the walkways are slippery and dangerous. When my neighbor asked one of the maintenance men when they would be shoveling, he yells across the street What do you think we re doing out here, the guys came through last night! And might come again tonight. So...we might get adequate snow/ice removal??? After that he mumbled under his breath Jesus Christ, you think I want to be out here doing this blah blah blah, rude and unprofessional. We had plenty of notice for them to get out and salt before hand, yet here we are still entire complex covered in ice, and residents having to shovel themselves a walkway.
While the apartments appear to be nice on first glance, they are just not put together well. We have a huge crack underneath our front door, so anytime the landscapers come, we get dirt and debris blown into our apartment. Unfinished walls under our baseboard heat. Constant flickering lighting through our entire apartment. And dude, every normal volume conversation happening in surrounding apartments, we can hear it, clearly. So insulation is probably nonexistent.
Unless you really need to, do not move here. The Echelon glen apartments are a couple hundred dollars more a month, and SO much nicer. Happy apartment hunting.
