I've been to Prado at least a dozen times since it has the best food in the park. The food is good but pricy due to the location. The service and staff are excellent and I recommend Prado if you're looking for a bite in Balboa Park.

It's been a pleasure to eat lunch at this lovely patio place on our mini trip/vaca to San Diego!
Due to my allergies & food sensitivities, the waiter was super helpful and a Shef made sure that my custom made Salmon Salad is outstanding.
All the ingredients for the rest of us were fresh and the food was delicious.
Thank you very much, would definitely recommend and visit again!!!

The salmon on my salad was probably the best salmon I ever had. I was truly surprised, as we generally do not eat at the park/museum/etc. eateries. The hostess was very friendly, attentive, and informative. The portion of Farmers Greens was very generous;, everything was fresh, and, as I already mentioned, the salmon was delicious. It was cooked perfectly!
Lunch for 2 was a bit pricey, so we treated it as "experience."

Finally I got to try this place. It is kind hard to book a reservation in these days as it is so popular in the weekends. I made the RSVP several weeks ago and we got a nice outdoor table with beautiful views and warm heaters. I thought probably the food would be just fine since Prado is more famous for the location and atmospheres. But I was wrong, the foods are amazingly delicious. I loved my pork chops, that s so fantastic . The salad and appetizers are great too. Highly recommend spicy calamari and Kobe beef sushi rolls. It is a little pricey here. Well, I think it is worthy. By the way, our server is so nice too. Really sweet and gentle.

Such a nice place to stop in for lunch. The lemon drop was dangerous it was delicious and I could have probably drank several. The salad was good the restaurant was spread out enough and was covid safe. Everyone who worked there was very kind. I've also been for dinner before the food was great then as well.

The Prado restaurant has a beautiful outdoor patio. The Seafood Paella was delicious. They have different flavored Margaritas. I enjoyed a Blood Orange Margarita. Dessert of a Raspberry Tart with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream was divine with a cappuccino.
