I photographed her for Love Soul Choir and it was a beautiful venue with fabulous facilities. Very professional, and the staff are very friendly too - definitely worth looking at to book your performance.
Excellent theatre with modern dance shoes, classic theatre and cinema facility. Dance classes and and a cafe for after that greuling ballet lesson or a quick chat with friends after a walk in the park.
Currently being used as a Walk in Covid Test Centre. You don't need to have symptoms. Just turn up. Monday to Saturday 8am to 4pm. Lateral Flow Tests are being done. Great opportunity to go and get yourself checked without the hassle of trying to book. Not sure if it's just residents and those working in the area.
Booked ourselves on a Christmas Quest.
With difficulties in putting on any show over Christmas 2020, everyone at The Point did a brilliant job.
The show was a one family bubble at a time quest to help save Christmas and was nicely done within the social distancing rules.
Just got home after completing our Christmas Quest! A wonderful festive experience that engaged the whole 'bubble' from start to finish. The theatre have clearly put a great deal of thought into creating a unique experience under current restrictions. We even stopped off for a tasty lunch in the cafe afterwards.
Attended Beginners Ballet there before the first lockdown. The lessons there have enabled me to take different ballet positions and moves to add to other styles of dance within my own choreography. However, I felt treated really badly by the dance teacher in terms of the actual lesson because of my perceived male gender. The ballet teacher told me strictly to not train next to almost all female class but in a corner far away with only half a mirror. It didn't allow me to interact with the other dancers during the lesson. It was really upsetting because during this time I was a MTF transgender woman coming out. I started dance partly because of its inclusive nature of people regardless on who they present themselves Instead, I felt treated as if I was the type of perceived male person that had come to spy on women. I feel really bad in writing this review but I think its the only way to bring about change in the theatre. But at the end of the day its my own experience.
It has now been set up as a covid testing site. It was very well organised and easy route round and for disabled people in wheelchairs. Well thought threw
Always like supporting local theatre. And their Christmas idea was good. The children loved it which was the main thing.
Catered very well for the little ones in our bubble as we completed a very personalised Xmas Quest. Well done guys the grand kids loved it
Brought 7 year old granddaughter here today to take part in the Christmas Quest. She enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere that the staff provided and had fun completing the tasks. Enjoyable hot chocolate in cafe afterwards completed this Christmas experience. Thanks to all involved in making the 1st visit to The Point a fun experience.
