Amazing hotel. Amazing staff and rooms. Shanghai terrace has good drinks and a nice outdoor patio area which is ideal for summer. The afternoon tea was delicious with unlimited sandwiches. Would 100% stay here again. Definitely ranks number 1 on my list of hotel stays.

We had afternoon tea at The Lobby for an early Mother's Day, and it was fantastic as usual. Service was top notch, and the finger sandwiches and desserts were tasty and surprisingly filling. At $65 per person, it's an experience that's worth it, especially for special events and celebrations. Highly recommended!

Everyone was amazingly helpful, courteous and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We had a room that was way superior to the other 4 and 5 star hotels we
A very enjoyable 6-night stay. The rooms are extremely spacious & comfortable and provide for everything that you would want & expect from a 5 star hotel.

My go to Hotel in Chicago. I travel to Chicago every other month. You can't best the location, service and amenities of the Peninsula Hotel. Rooms are very up to date, everything can be done by an ipad or remote controls. Very easy to order room service. Gym offers several Peloton bikes which are nice. Definitely some of the best massage therapists in Chicago as well. Always an enjoyable stay

We attended a wedding this weekend at the Peninsula. The ballroom and cocktail areas were beautifully decorated. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Last, but not least the food and drink were top notch. Their signature drink had beautiful flowers for garnish. There was a buffet for appetizers and dessert, plated meal, and passed food - all delicious and well presented. Overall we were very impressed with the venue and had a great evening celebrating!

This is a very good Hotel that is managed exceptionally well. Staff are all properly trained - the food is excellent and the Rooms are beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. One of the best Hotels in the US. Old fashioned attention to detail.

The location is excellent - right in the heart of the gold coast. The service was 5 star. The rooms were beautiful. It had several tablet devices for controlling the tv, air temp, and lights. It was cool tech. Overall a great experience.

Worth the 5 star rating

Worth the 5 star rating
This hotel definitely earned the 5 star rating I gave it. It is pure luxury! Started from the time we walked in the door. The Bellmen were all very friendly. Nice marble floors on the 2nd level for check-in. Cases full of jewelry leading up the concierge and check-in. Check-in was easy and quick. All areas of the lobby were spotless. We were offered bottled water, coffee, and/or tea at check-in which was nice. Walking to the room and the hallways were very clean and well lit. Got to the room and the 1st thing you notice is how soft the carpet is. The room is very nice and everything in the room is controlled by an Ipad. The bathroom contains both a large shower and large bath along with a separate toilet area and a tv. Can't ask for anything else in the bathroom. The room also had two bathrobes and 2 pairs of slippers. Nice touch. had wine glasses and an wine bottle opener. Most hotels don't offer openers. We were on the 9th floor and had a great view! Plenty of space in the room also. Large flat screen tv and all kinds of charges available. The bed was large and comfortable and Wi-Fi is available. Anything you can think of this hotel had so I can't say a bad word about it. We needed an iron and ironing board. They aren't in the room, but one was brought up in less than 5 minutes. Ate at one of the restaurants in the hotel which was very good also and had drinks at one of the bars. The bar was room and had a great atmosphere. If the price were right I would definitely come back and stay again at the Peninsula.

I cannot say enough about this hotel, it was nothing short of amazing from the first contact i had with them to book the room, up to the minute we checked out. The staff was friendlier and more helpful than any hotel i've ever been to, the hospitality was truly above any and all expectations i could have had. There will not be another hotel i would stay at in Chicago after the great experience i've had with the Peninsula. Absolutely Amazing!

High tea was lovely. The quality of the food was fantastic. I prefer loose leaf tea at high tea to bagged, but unfortunately it was bagged. The service was just ok for the status of high tea at the peninsula. The staff continued to incorrectly fill out drinks with the wrong ones.

It was a nice place but not at all how the reviews described. If you're in town as a guest of the hotel, it's a great place to unwind. I was looking for a swanky place to find a drink and found it pretty underwhelming for the cost.
