Steaks are amazing, the best ive ever had! Really relaxed atmosphere with a beer garden and 3 bars :) trivia on Thursdays is always fun too, great for all ages - we are definitely regulars for all of those reasons!
great place to take family for dinner they have a kids play area and also a gaming area for adults, they have live bands great pub friendly people to be around with.

Good atmosphere for males. Giant television sets everywhere and each showing a different and current sport event.
Over and above that though, the meals are excellent and very good value for money.
I think the chefs are Indian and how they ended up working in the Parap Pub Is a mystery, as the quality of the meals is closer to a 5 star hotel meal. My adult sons and I go most Friday nights after work. You may have to book a table in advance though, as the best kept secret in Darwin is no longer so secret. It's usually packed on every night of the week.

Incompetent bar staff. Meal sizess below average for any pub or club in the teritory. Verry basic fair nothing to brag about. Will not be going back. More of bar then the advertised family bistro. The smell of stale ale was overwhelming as we walked in and our service staff were rude with out care. Clearing the half the table before meals were completed. I could spend only $ 5 more else where and can a a happier patron

Order my lunch and then watched everyone who ordered after me get their meals. I ordered the lunch special of Chicken caesar wrap WHICH should have included cos lettuce, bacon, parmesan in a caesar dressing wrapped in tortilla. What I got was chicken wrap with mayo dressing.
Been going down hill for years, use to be a good pub for food but after coming back to town after a few years absence I am disappointed with the current state. To be fair I think the standards are getting worse all over town and so are the prices.

this pub used to be the best pub in the territory, as it is it is under staffed, the staff will be half way pouring a beer and will run off to service a keno or tab punter. the pokies are their way of turning over an easy buck so pokies punters are the only punters that get a full customer service . matt d
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Visited for lunch and was a little disappointed. Food had been left at the counter for too long, so 'Hot chips' were cold. We ordered the Parap Burger which was tasty and a good size. Also a Steak Sanga, with the steak itself delicious. Unfortunately the roll was a little dry and hard.
I think if the meals had been served immediately from cooking they would have been great.
Plenty of seating in the dining area.
Outside in the courtyard there is a variety of seating and a large Television screen. Also fans running for a cool breeze.
There is also a gaming room.

Used to be our fav pub... but they've changed the menu! Now its a few standard (boring/unhealthy) options served with chips. So disappointing. Bring back the old menu.

Went here for dinner to night with friends, 2 couples on one table all meals ordered at the same time and we made sure the counter staff knew we were eating together. 35 minutes later a trio of dip turns up. 10 minutes later a main, pulled pork burger. 15 minutes later the rest of the entrees arrive 12 oysters natural and 12 Kilpatrick, the Kilpatrick were stone cold. While we were eating the oysters our mains arrive, a crispy skin salmon, surprisingly it was ok and a $35 scotch fillet. Ordered "rare" arrived medium well, that one went back to the kitchen to join the stone cold oysters Kilpatrick. The cook was most indignant and asked me " well what do you expect" my response what i orered how I ordered it and hot.
Most disappointing. We will not be back.

Located walking distance from a bus stop, parap tavern is a relaxed local pub. Meat dishes are a little pricey, so lol for deal nights. For exame Tuesday night is 5$ steak and chips. Clean area for kids to come and enjoy a meal. There is a kid play area. Barramundi had too much tomato sauce and tasted blend, chips were fine. Great relaxed atmosphere, great Friday night band. Pokies available, bottle shop near by. Lots of Carpark at the back. Reminds me of a David Bowie song.
I will not be going to eat food at the Parap Tavern again, twice in 4 weeks I have had bad experiences with the food. sick twice. cook didn't seem to give a stuff. didn't even offer money back , if I could attach the photo of today's meal I would. 9.10.20.
