So much food! Everything was delicious. The service was great. The experience was awesome. The interior of this place is so interesting! There is a whole kid's play area downstairs and a nice deck out back.

Great variety of food to choose from. Lesa was a wonderful server, with a great personality. She took such good care of us, we highly recommend being seated in her section. We look forward to a return trip... The only reason we didn't give it a 5-star rating was because the fried scallops didn't taste good...

Rather than have you read through my whole review I will just answer the question everybody has upfront Was this place worth it?? The answer is a resounding no..

it was $37 per plate and the only thing that was worth anything were the crab legs. Even those were cooked in brine , so they were crazy salty , but we made do.

Nobody was rude to us and there were no bugs to be seen but the food was marginal at best . The fried stuff was soft , the broiled stuff was hard , and you'd be better off going to the grocery store and cooking seafood yourself .

If you think you can salvage things with a nice dessert Think again. the desert comes from those boxes that you buy at BJ's or someplace like that . Lastly, the venue was hot as hell .

Tuna steak was so dry I had to chase it with water to get it down. Even the hush puppies were dry and tasteless. How do you screw up hush puppies? Crab legs were reportedly "OK". Service was slow. For $27 a pop? Only in Myrtle Beach. Captain D's is better.

Go for the crab legs FIRST.... .then everything else. The crab legs were to die for. Fantastic hushpuppies, staffed was very attentive, the side dishes were good. Loved the cold shrimp salad, hot mussels and clams, excellent stuffed shells folks! This is THE best Calabash for sure.

Very disappoimtrd. The food was cold from their 170 bar items. The only thing that was hot was the crab legs and the basket of hush puppies. It was not worth the $74 my wife and I spent and that was with a military discount. I will never return back and advise that whomever reads this don't waste your money. This was an expensive bust!

first time there and it was wonderful many many choices of food my waitress was wonderful she stayed on top of our table from the time we set down to the time we left all the crab legs you can eat it was great I loved it I will be back....

This place is way over priced and the food is not that good. We went on 4/27/2019. For 2 adults and 3 kids the bill was 146$. The butter for the crab tasted like movie theater popcorn butter. Which is not good on crab. The shrimp had a really weird taste and none of us would eat them. And I usually love shrimp. The desserts where not good either. When my 8 year old turns down chocolate cake. There has to be something wrong with it.
Needless to say it was a sad and very expensive dinner.

Never ever again. I can't really blame this place since this is my 2nd seafood buffet and I disliked the last one as well. I'm convinced I am not a seafood buffet person. The food was cold, very bland I mean not even a ounce of seasoning. Our waitress was not on point and she didn't even have that many tables. We had to wait FOREVER for our drinks. She never removed our dishes unless we asked and refills were non existent. For the amount of money I say skip the buffet and check out a good seafood restaurant. Oh and the butter for the crab legs was a joke as well. This was my first and last visit but the place was huge!

I was very disappointed in the crab legs. It was like eating a box of salt. They were so salty I really could not enjoy them. Didn't care much for the coconut shrimp either. Prlce was not worth it. Will not be going back to this restaurant.

We decided to come as a family for dinner and the food was horrible. The food on the buffet was not fresh. For this to be a seafood buffet the food should be prepared correctly and fresh. Of course I was not expecting the at home cooking taste, but for the price at almost $40 a person wasn't good at all and I would not recommend. The manager was notified and she wasn't pleased with my concerned and was upset by my complaint. I believe with me. However the manager did take off my meal, but for my family of 4 it was a loss we took. I would not recommend. My advice before you vacation always research the nearby resturants. However our waiter Brittany was awesome!

Fantastic seafood! Something for everyone, even if Seafood isn't your thing! Worth the trip, especially if you love crab legs! Great artifacts throughout that are totally worth looking at. It can all be a little overwhelming if busy, but the lines move quickly! Super kid friendly! Next time we vacation in MB, we definitely will return.

We had our first vacation since our son was born. He is autistic and has sensory issues also we both have Celiac disease. This place was SO awesome not only did they accomendate my son sensory issues by putting us in a table kinda in the corner they also offered us a gluten free menu. It was worth every cent thank you so much for going beyond what you had to do!!!

My family loves seafood and this calabash restaurant in particular. With 170 items in the buffet, it s not hard to find something for everyone. If seafood isn t your thing, there s still plenty of options like grilled steak, sliced roast beef, and chicken with plenty of southern sides to choose from. The crab legs are fresh and hot and the meat is perfectly cooked and not grainy. It can be a bit pricey at almost $40 per adult so be sure to get a coupon for $4 off before 4:30. Kids pricing is set by age so it varies a little my daughter is 10 so her meal was $15 (no kids coupon that I m aware of) which was OK because she loves crab which makes it worth the expense.

It is still served buffet style and masks and food service gloves are provided at every station and guest must adorn them before every trip to the buffet. The floors are marked at 6 foot intervals although we were not there at a busy time to see them in use.

Dining in COVID times is an experience unto itself but the tables were properly spaced and sanitized between seatings. The place is plenty big enough to dine socially distanced. If you are not happy with the spacing of your table, ask for another.

It's a bit pricey, but the food there is really great, the service is polite, and the views can't be beat. It's like a dining fisherman's museum, lots of neat model ships to look at. Definitely a place to visit on your vacation!

The staff was super!! Best service! The food looked and tasted old... crab legs were not even warm much less hot... everything tastes the same.. very bland.... food was not worth the $37 plus charge... and $2.99 for a soft drink . Also the place is very dated and dirty .

Absolutely LOVE this place! Every time we go to the beach we eat here! Granted it is very loud and crowded but that would tell you it's obviously good.! They have awesome crab legs and other great fried sea food also a mile long desert bar. The staff are always nice. For adults (12 &up) is 29.99 children (5-11) 12.99 children (1-4) 2.99. It's a of course high but it's an all you can eat crab leg buffett.
