The hummus had a bland mayonnaise-like taste to it, and the pita bread was hard and stale. The gyro meat and the rice was kinda bland and dry. Just didn t get the feeling that the food was fresh or authentic for the price. Overall it wasn t a horrible experience, though. They were suuuuper nice. The owner came up and introduced herself. She was really nice. The place is clean enough, just wish the food I had was better. I d go again just to try something different like the schwarma (sp).

Absolutely love the appetizers! Was a little disappointed with the hummus this time, but still yummy. Sarah was a fantastic server! Always kept our drinks full and had a smile on her face.

I had the lentil soup and small Greek salad and both were good. We had an appetizer of pita & hummus which is great. Service was prompt and friendly. My wife loves the spicy chicken. I like several different items on the menu. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. Overall an above average restaurant. The food is different in the best way. Middle eastern fare is not all that common in Hilliard. We don't go often enough.

Hummus was bland. Gyro platter and lentil soup were very good.

Ordered dinner to go. I ordered the tzatziki appetizer and the beef sharwarma (both require pita bread to eat), I was give 5 pita triangles....that were stale...

I have eaten here before on a few occasions and the food is hit or miss. The quality of their food is INCONSISTENT. You never know if you've shown up on a night where the food will be cooked right.

Crazy Greek II is AMAZING and much better priced, it's just unfortunate that they aren't open on Sunday's :/

Food and service is inconsistent. Have been here numerous times and had a great experience. But other times, like this evening, the food was stale and the service highly lacking. I have always dined in and think the inconsistency may be a result of being busy with take out orders.

This place is great. Not only is the food delicious, but the restaurant is extremely clean! The owner is a delightful man who came out to talk to us while eating. Great service, great food, great people. I highly recommend! Thank You!

Went for dinner tonight with my wife and a friend... very impressed with the selection - more varied than the typical Med restaurant which may focus on Greek or Lebanese only... Olive Tree includes cuisine from many, many Mediterranean countries. Everything we tried was great (veggie wrap, spicy chicken & mushrooms, steak kabobs), and as many others have noted, the owner stopped by to personally greet us and provide his recommendations from the menu. He even has US and World maps on the wall, and if you're a newcomer to the restaurant, he has you place a pin marking where you're from. There are pins EVERYWHERE on the maps!
Our only low point of the evening was the service... our waitress was great until about halfway through our visit, when she seemed to vanish after taking our entree orders, for the remainder of our meal until it was time to get our bill. The owner was the first to notice we'd depleted our pita wedges that came with the appetizer sampler (both pita and Olive Tree-O sampler were great, btw) and he replenished them personally; but then we even had to place our dessert order with another waitress! Even though we'd made it clear that we were annoyed by the total absence of our waitress, she never apologized when she reappeared.
So... I'm hoping we can give them one more shot the next time we're in town, but if the same "vanishing server" act happens again, I'm sure it will be our last visit - which would be a shame because the food, the restaurant, and the owner were great!

Their snow fries are fantastic. They aren t on the menu They re the fire fries, minus the spicy.

Great customer service. Food is always good and consistent. In the event of any sort of issue, management will always make it right, and treat you well.

First timer here: We ordered take out last night for the whole family it was amazing! We got the beef shawarma, Greek salad, fire fries, tzatziki sauce with lots of pita bread and a kids meal it was wonderful! and bonus on Tuesdays they offer 10 or 15% off take out. We will be returning again great prices, food and friendly service!

We went for Sunday brunch and the food was absolutely amazing. If you would like something different than the traditional eggs hashbrowns and toast, this is the place to go. From the time we walked in everyone was very welcoming and inviting. The gentleman In the kitchen was the first to greet us and the last to thank us for coming in. The host was around numerous times to ensure our coffee was topped off and as I listened to the wait staff, they were all friendly and Rachel was top notch! We had the Shushuka and the Humshuka which were delicious and more food than we needed. Their Bloody Marys are just the right amount of spicy with lime,celery and a slice of cucumber for garnish. Looking forward to our next Olive Tree brunch!

The Olive Tree has been great in the past, but last nights level of service was unacceptable. It took over an hour to get our food after ordering. Both dishes were luke warm. Our drinks were left empty for 30 mins. We were at the restaurant for 2 hrs. We did not have a big party. When we had to refill the drinks ourselves and go to the front desk to ask for checks, the manager only offered to take the two items off our bill that we didnt order or recieve. i hope you would offer to fix that anyway. The excuse offered for our experience was our server got sick. That is still no excuse for no service. Additionally, the "sick" server was still working and handling orders. That does not help reassure me in the slightest or make me want to come back. At least the manager gave us a 15 percent off coupon. Ill give them another chance because i have been there before, but if it was my first or second time I would not be so forgiving.

We have always been loyal customers of Olive Tree. Tonight we ordered through grub hub. I had the Israeli schnitzel with a Greek salad, neither of which came with the sauce/dressing that it usually comes with. Not a huge deal, but my husband called the restaurant to see if there was anyway it could be fixed and was met with a very rude person on the other end named Alexis. She was not apologetic and basically hung up on us. When grubhub called about the mistake, they hung up the first time, and the second time the manager said they weren t just going to give us free sauce . If we have to pay for it fine, but it s always came with it, especially the salad. Sad to say this small mistake will be result in us not being a customer anymore only because of how badly the staff treated us.

The food had great flavor. Wonderful spices used for the lemonato chicken. The saganaki and pitas were fun and flavorful. Staff work well together. The fresh cut fries were not from freshly cut potatoes but were still good... they need to offer potatoes with Mediterranean spices as a side for meat dishes. Staff was friendly. Prices were good.

Warst tabouli ever. The Parsley wasn't cut well.. Its look like u eating the leave as it's come from the farm. The falafel was not sooo good but not bad.

Friendly staff - Scott and Bethany were wonderful! The food was fresh and flavorful, quite a change from the usual microwaved frozen stuff. The HumShuka is especially good! My son and (almost ) daughter-in-law recommended this place as one of their favorite Columbus restaurants, and I can see why.

I love Mediterranean food and this wasn't very good. We came here because the reviews spoke so highly of it being good. The Hummus was very bland, my chicken kabob salad also had no flavor. Also I have a Soy allergy and the server was not knowledgeable about what ingredients were actually in their food even after checking. No go a second time.

Beef schwarma is always spot-on and enough left over for lunch tomorrow. Our waitress even brought me extra pita.

This is the first time I went to The Olive Tree. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was quite good. However, our meal neared perfection because of the wonderful service and suggestions made by our server, Bethany. She was quite personable,efficient and all around terrific.Many of our selections were made from her knowledge of the dishes. I will definitely return because of the great food and excellent service.

Not the fastest spot for lunch, but they serve really good hummus and shwarma

We have had so many great experiences here but this most recent visit was a little disappointing. The hot hummus was less flavorful and there was barely any hummus in it. The kafta kebob was dry and over charred and we needed to request it to be redone which came back again charred and dry. The tabouli is not very finely chopped. More like they quickly rip it apart. It's definitely not the best... but one redeeming quality is that the moussaka is always and still delicious and great!

Some of the BEST Mediterranean food I've had ever. Their sauces are the best I have ever had. They are fairly priced for the quality of the food you get.

The food is good, but the menu choices are limited for those with dairy or gluten issues.

My family has been coming here for years. We have always received excellent service. The food has always been amazing. Arrives promptly and cooked to perfection. We have brought people from other states and this trip always shines among the places we eat.

This place is okay I bought some Groupon discounts to use their which made it worthwhile I'm not sure I'd pay full retail. They have had some bad reviews with the health inspector but I trust it.

We live a good ways from the Olive Tree. We're always finding reasons to make it out this way to eat here. Great Shwarma and try the Samshuka (sp?) or Humshuka for brunch. Unbelieveable!

Overall good food. Main gyro platter was pretty good. A little lacking on the meat. The sauce was good though. The fries were the best part, 9/10 on the fries. I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

I highly suggest Olive Tree. I have been a customer for years and can't saw enough about how great this restaurant and the quality of food they serve.

I can honestly say that I have never had a poorly cooked meal from Olive tree. I love to start with the falafel and Greek salad. For the entrees, I love the chicken feta flatbread or the chicken shawarma.

The interior of the restaurant is kind of bland and doesn't have much ambiance, but the food makes up for it big time!

Quite possibly the best restaurant in Columbus. Food is amazing. Staff is always cheerful. And the ownership truly cares for its customers. Did I say the food is amazing?

The food is simply bad. Falafel was far from being eatable, the Pita smelled awefull. The Hummus was ok but without a good spits hummus cannot be eaten (at least not by a MidEastern).
The amazing thing was that the waitress who was pretty nice and welcoming saw that we literally did not touch the food and we asked to take away the falafel because it was bad yet she brought a full check and I even tipped because it is NOT about the money.
This place has bad food. Period.

My husband and I went to The Olive Tree on a Monday evening with my parents for dinner. We were promptly greated by a friendly staff and invited into a clean and cheerful environment. The menu was very detailed and provided information on all the Mediterranean dishes we were not familiar with. Our meals were delicious, good quality for the price and were promptly delivered to us. We will definitely be back for a visit soon!

A great "hidden secret" in Hilliard. Good variety of Mediterranean and Arab foods served by a very friendly staff. Really, really do recommend this place.

I've been here 3 times now because I met one of the waitresses (Bethany) at my job. I haven't been disappointed yet. They have some pretty good imported beers as well as a great Pastitsio. It's good enough to bring your friends.
