Still a very nice store but nowhere near as busy as it once was. Lots of selection as store is very big. Jackets are a bit pricey but you can get some good deals when there is a sale. Service is good with helpful and friendly staff. Still worth the drive to Acton even after all these years.

Great selection of leather clothes at a reasonable price.

Store was great service was acceptable. They had issues with payment system which is not to blame staff for but made things a pain when it came time to pay.

The clearance section has some nice deals, I bought a varsity jacket for $19. Some jackets were on sale for $99-199 which were nice. Although a lot of their stock is very old fashioned, not many newer styles. The furniture was not in great condition in the show room- the wooden dining tables were splintering and the final sale discount was from $3000 to $2900.

The place to go of you want quality leather products at very reasonable pricing. Great customer service and huge inventory.

Decent selection of most things. Very nice staff. Went to look for bike gear - that section is pretty limited...if going just for that it is NOT worth the drive to Acton. Although it is a nice ride...

Visited for the first time in probably 10 years, a very nice store. Excellent quality furniture and apparel (and priced accordingly) I agree with some of the other reviews that the apparel styles are pretty dated though, nothing really for younger people (under 40 I'd say).
Staff were all super friendly and attentive. Would definitely consider for future furniture purchases.

NOT WORTH THE DRIVE! Bought 2 bar stools & the foot pegs snapped off. we had them 6 mths. I would return these if I could. what a waist of money grr.

Great inventory, well displayed, room to walk around, customer focused staff. Couldn't have been a better experience, they even offered us an icy cold bottle of water.

Not answering phone and no measage. Drove out to hopefully drop off a jacket for repair, and sign on door states closed sinch March 23rd or so. Maybe update your Google listing and add a phone message to advise customers.

Got a great deal on winter leather jackets in the spring even though I didn't plan on buying anything but it was too good to pass up. Guess it was worth the drive to Acton.

Great stuff. Good prices. Lots of parking. Helpful, friendly staff. I buy my gloves there, made of lambskin. Good sales.

my.husband and i stopped by we had been looking to buye some jackets, so a friend mentioned this place, so we visited and the service was great what a beautiful place and the prices amazing. We did end up purchasing the jacket we wanted.

This is a company from a time when murdering animals and tearing off their skin so people can have the skin of a tortured innocent sentient being draped across their furniture. Disgusting. I'd avoid this place like the plague! This company should stay in the Stone age where it belongs.

Lots of variety of leather coats for men and women as well as sofas/chairs & recliners

I bought 2 bar stools for $200 each a few years ago. The tops are wearing out badly and they don't even look like leather. Check out the photo. I would expect wear and tear but not like this. If I wanted cheap I would have bought for $85 at Canadian Tire.

If you are looking for real leather this is the place to go....amazing sofas and jackets....and other things, really good customer service.

Not worth the drive to Acton

Went out of our way to visit The Olde Hide House as it's location is rather remote this past Canada Day only to find it closed for the July 1st holiday. The hours of operation stated on their website stated that it would be open from 10 to 6.

Staff were very helpful and although they did not have the gloves I needed they had beautiful items for sale and we would visit again.

Awesome staff in a location with lots of history. The Olde Hide House could use some interest and investment from the owners who live in Montreal. The place is looking clean and organized but just a little tired. I was the only person in there on a Saturday afternoon.

I wanted a new leather jacket, couldn't find anything I liked that wasn't brutally expensive, which is what I kind of expected here. There's some pretty high priced items but I was surprised to find a lot of top quality jackets in the $2-300 range. I got the heavier leather coat I wanted and went back for a lighter leather/suede jacket. Excellent products, friendly service, huge showroom and great pricing.

Rediscovered this Acton landmark after a 20 year hiatus. Have purchased numerous jackets over the years. Everything from shearling to car coats to leather sport jackets. All are in great condition and am still lucky enough to fit into them. Sales are good and the clearance racks can offer up some really good finds, specially in the women's section up stairs.

There is an extensive furniture section also with some of the nicest chairs and sofas I have ever seen.

Jackets to gloves, hats to bags, belts to chairs, this place really has it all. Staff are an asset as they are always ready to lend a hand.

Plenty of choices but a little expensive in my opinion. Maybe wait for black Friday to get better prices. You should be able to find something to your liking.

Ummm. Where to start. Beautiful store. Good overall appearance . Customer service was terrible with staff walking away to deal with someone maybe spending more. Also the overall quality seems to have massively changed. I m 6 3 271. Even a 4X barely zipped. Now if you buy from China etc you will know sizes are different. It certainly feels nothing here is made in North America. Coats from Pakistan etc all over the place. I will never ever go there again and if your a bigger person save yourself the trip. Unbelievably brutal. Shame on them. #GasWastedGoingToActon

As they say "it's worth the drive to Acton" and yes I would say they have an excellent selection of both leather furniture, clothing and accessories. The quality is also top-notch but don't be shocked when you see the prices because yes they are higher than you would find at other competitor box stores i.e. Danier) but this is to be expected for the level of quality and that the vast majority of products are made in Canada. The store also has a number of unique pieces, it's organized and laid out well and staff are not pushy...meaning they won't pounce on you when you enter and give you the space to browse at your leisure. Definitely worth the drive to check out the selection, just make sure your credit card has the space for your purchases.

Nice store layout with unique products. I did not like that there was more staff than customers and no one welcomed nor said hi to me. Bought a nice briefcase anyways broke after 2 months.

They had some nice furniture, but if you're going just to check it out, I say save yourself the trip. Unless you have the money to own a limo and pay someone to drive you, it's not worth the trip all the way out to Acton.

Mind you, if you've got the cash, their furniture IS really nice. Like, really nice~

Great coats but for some reason arm and sleeves are made for stick men, I tried a $1500.00 coat size 42 and it fit great around my body but really snug especially around my forearms when I asked about it the salesperson said its something they'll talk to the manufacturer about, and that was that. I didn't drive 2 hours not to buy a coat but when there was no sale to be made I no longer mattered.

Sizes here are very limited. An XL didn't fit me and I would normally wear about a medium. Not sure who they are selling women's jackets to? But could use to modernize their sizing.

Past glory is not a reason to hang on to something and pretend it s still great. This place looks and feels like it peaked in 1984, complete with the styles they offer. Jackets are of a very average quality and look dated at less than attractive prices. It s worth the drive to go somewhere else to get quality leather goods - save yourself the trouble.

Loved the purses, coats and furniture. Staff very friendly and helpful.
