The odyssey preparatory academy Review

I believe that the potential of the school will make up for the growing pains, but only time will tell. The school over promises and under delivers. More effort needs to be made in weeding out teachers that management knows are not living up to the schools reported standard. Exceptional scholars require and deserve exceptional teachers. This should not be taken to mean that Odyssey does not have excellent teachers because for the most part the teachers do an amazing job, but the 10 percent that are merely tolerated should be dismissed. Additionally, effort needs to be made for better communication with parents and scheduling of school events. This school is also not equipped to educate students with special needs, which is truly unfortunate. They do excel, for the most part, in providing a good environment which most traditional schools fail at. For these reasons, at this time, and after 5 years and with 4 enrolled children, I can only give an average or 3 star rating.

Grandson attends. Far superior to local elementary school. Great experience for him.

I love this school, I have 2 kids at Odyssey. One in Elementary and the other in High School. Both my kids have excelled since transferring to Odyssey. My son has gone up in his grades and his confidence. The smaller class size and the attention the teachers give both during class and after school is priceless. Best decision I made, sending my kids to Odyssey.

I love this school! They truly focus on teaching the children rather than teaching "to the test" as most public schools currently do. They are strict on the students in a positive way, teaching them to be responsible young adults. Uniforms are nice but I do wish we were free to purchase them elsewhere for a better price. Other than that I honestly could not ask for more in a school.

I used to really like this school and tell all my friends about how great it was. That was until a real safety concern came up and nobody did anything about it. Safety is my number one concern regarding my child. They breached this and now I can no longer trust my children here.

Very organized and well put together school. I love the small class sizes and how their is structured playtime rather then being on a playground and running around without supervision.

The school was very strict and bullying was a large issue. Hopefully its gotten better about some policys, but it's a pretty bad school. I was a student there and I can't say it was the best.

This is a wonderful school with a nurturing, stimulating environment. I feel my child is getting a private school caliber education in a publicly funded charter school. I am also impressed at the International Baccalaureate program in the upper grade levels as well.

I was here before the teachers just don't care if you don't understand they just .over on and see you as a bad student

The school does not care for your child's safety nor do they communicate on a regular basis such as if your child has a problem learning or with a bully(ies). The school makes a great amount of money from donations and yet still ask for more, we sent our child with enough school supplies to last the year and she comes home and tells us her teacher took all her stuff. I will not send any of my children to this school again.
