Terrible. I get gift certificates now and them from my boyfriend. I never had the heart to tell him, I don't really like it there. They need a serious reno in the locker rooms. So get this: I am in the change room in my bathrobe, I have a mental laps and forget my code. I peek out in the hallway and ask one of the guys if someone can help me. He tells me to go out to the front reception and ask. Are you kidding me? Go out to a public area in my bathrobe? Ask for assistance? Not likely. He made a face like "really lady? It's no big deal" Well it is for women in bathrobes that don't want to be seen after their hair is upside down after a treatment and naked underneath. Have some respect. Locker rooms are not a SPA environment. Old Saunas, bad foot wear (hurts those who have smaller feet as they are like a size 10). In my salt scrub treatment, the lady left me there naked on a slab while she got some product, and left some kind of fan on. So here I am laying there naked, freezing... what is going on with the experience of the user. I think the Management should go through ALL the services and see where they can improve. I'm not paying more for less. I'll have to break it to my boyfriend... NO more gift certificates there please. Thank you, Lisa

I really enjoy coming here for the different services I've tried, including facials, massages, and pedicures. I've been to a few spa's downtown Calgary and this is my favourite. If you're looking for great pricing, top service and a lovely wait room, then this might be your spa!

I went for a treat yesterday. The facilities itself is clean and sleek. However, the estheticians I had yesterday did a really 'rush' job. Not sure if that's what customer would normally get for a promotion. They did offer me a free complimentary membership pin my birthday. But probably would rather pay a little bit more money to go to a different spa to have the job done properly.

Great Spa Staff, terrible front staff. The spa staff in the back were excellent, however the front staff is so bad I will never go here again despite being a repeat customer. The front staff couldn't care less that I had a concern about their billing practices, she claimed that all there specials are online. When I actually checked they are not all listed. Regardless, the staff member didn't care, even after I mentioned I was disappointed in her lack of care and that I won't come back again. I asked to speak to a manager, the response I got was "we don't really have a manager". Looks like the inmates run the penetentiary. There are much better spa's in Calgary with Staff that care about the fact your spending a fortune. Bad Service = Bad Experience.

I was given a gift certificate here for my birthday, and when I searched the spa online and started reading reviews I was hesitant to say the least. I found positive posts about Angelina (an esthetician) so I went ahead and booked my appointment for a facial. I arrived at the spa a few minutes late and the reception/staff was very friendly, they didn't give me any attitude about this at all. I was shown the "Queens Chamber", quickly changed, went to the wait room and Angelina came to get me a few seconds later. My facial was relaxing and thorough. I added on a glycolic peel. I received a 1 hour treatment (just shy of the 65 minutes advertised, probably bc I was late) and then went back to the change rooms to shower and go. The spa was very clean and had some great little touches such as all toiletries you could need being available in the change room. The downsides were the price - I had a passport for Oasis so I paid $128 for an enzymatic facial that I believe is regularly $168, plus a $60 upgrade for a glycolic peel. For someone who didn't have a passport it would be a $228 plus taxes facial...pretty steep. Angelina did recommend some products for me and when I went to pay they were waiting at reception, I looked through them and ended up buying the peel kit ($149) but I didn't feel obligated at all. All in all it was a nice experience for an every so often kind of thing. I heard a few ladies in the change room complaining about a smell with the service they received and they didn't sound too pleased. I think it really varies on "who" does your service and maybe consistency is lacking.

My husband and I came here for a couples massage, it was our first time at Oasis. I was booked for the Steam Room at 2pm and they told me I had to be there for 2pm and not earlier. So we came and had to fill out paper work, then wait for the front desk employees to let us into the back. The front desk person didn't even ask us if we have ever been to the place and did not give us a tour. By the time I made it to the girls locker room I was not able to go into the Sauna because someone else was booked. I was frustrated to say the least and the manager did not really care about the mix up. We had our massages, my RMT was good but the experience wasn't that great. The room we were in was small, like a tiny jail cell. It smelt awful, I don't understand why they don't use essential oils or some calming scents. During my massage I could hear the individual in the next room getting a body wrap done. It was loud and distracting. It was just an overall disappointing experience. I paid $150 for a 60 min massage, it was truly NOT worth it. The place didn't seem clean and was off. Sadly we will not return.

My husband and I decided to go to this spa for a little RnR one late afternoon. We booked a massage and facial for two at the oasis wellness spa

Cleanliness: Clean and tidy! clean towels available, showers and bathrooms were clean. sitting and waiting area was tidy. People were always around to take away empty cups.

Service: Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The lovely gentleman I spoke to on the phone was very helpful with the booking. The lady at the front desk when we arrived at our appointment was very efficient at checking us in and helpful when problems arose

Facilities: dry sauna, steam room, sitting and waiting area with water and apples ( may be not the best snack when people are trying to rest and relax)

Organization:Really this is where I ranked them lower.

They had forgotten about my husbands massage. We received our massages separately. We had checked in and his massage was on the system. However the massage therapist he was assigned to didn't show up for work. He wasn't reassigned and he was left in the waiting room until I was done my massage. Since he was told to wait for 'someone to get him' he didn't expect to have to speak up. The receptionist did offer to rectify the problem and the solutions offered were appropriate. However it was enough of a bad experience that neither of us want to return to the spa. Would suggest a reevaluation to their work flow or to post a sign that says 'if your therapist has not shown up in 15 min please speak to front desk'

Other things that were not helpful to our situation: Both the male and female steam room don't have instructions on how to turn it on or use it. So my husband and I (nor did anyone else) use the steam rooms.

There are no instructions on how to use the key pad lockers which are not intuitive to most people. We saw other people ask the receptionist about how to use the lockers or that they couldn't access the locker.

I slept in my massage, I thought it was rude to the therapist. But in reality, it was such a professional job that I relax so much that it took me to the limit of sleep. It was an experience. I recommend it. Test it.

I have been going to Oasis for over 20 years and have never had a bad experience. Today was no exception. I am so impressed with their Covid-19 protocols. Firstly, we did the payment, tip, etc. on the phone so no contact when I arrived. Both ladies at reception were behind plastic dividers. I did the pre-screening Covid questionnaire on-line and was asked to wear a mask, which I did. My temperature was taken and hands sanitized before I entered the "Queen's Chamber."

My Esthetician, Stella wore a full face shield and also wore gloves during my facial. They pre-booked my time slot for the sauna to ensure I was alone; I only saw one other lady in the change room and we were very distanced. Kudos to Oasis for making me feel safe while getting a facial with the amazing Stella. She has the "touch" and gives the best face/head massage ever. I work front line at a domestic violence shelter and facials are my self-care. Thank you for giving that back to me and having those protocols in place to keep me and the families I work with safe.

Peter and your staff at Oasis; I commend you and will see you in a couple of months!

I have been a loyal client of Oasis wellness Centre & spa the last ten years for their great services and friendly environment. During my last visits, I appreciated the Covid-19 protocols in place to ensure the safety of all clients. Many thanks for the entire staff in Oasis and special thanks for Yanina for her great reflexology session and massage therapy and for Rebecca for her relaxing facial session. Always a wonderful experience!!!

I had a Thai massage on Sunday. It was excellent. Not "relaxing" and so it shouldn't be. It was wonderfully therapeutic. The non-sweetened lemonade was refreshing. Now I'm ready to go to Thailand.

The Oasis is well worth the extra money it costs. The attention to detail is outstanding with whoever looks after you there. They are very diligent with their safety and sanitizing procedures which during COVID is essential. Special shout out to Samantha and Rebecca who made our experience one that will make us return over and over again.

Had a massage and a facial. My massage therapist was very good but the lady doing the facial was pushing hard to up-sell me on a chemical peel that I didn't feel comfortable getting. Why couldn't i just relax and have the facial that I booked??

None of the staff seemed very happy to be working there... i would overhear comments about how its becoming very poorly run and managed (by the owner).

The sandals they provided were stiff as boards and actually bruised the top of my one foot! When i asked if they had any different ones, the feedback was no they don't, and that everyone complains about these sandals. I let the lady at the front desk know.

Lastly, the change rooms were not very clean - the steam room had a mountain of used towels left in it which was pretty gross and the showers weren't very clean or kept either.

Its very sad to say but this place has really gone downhill over the years. The owner(s) seriously need to put some love and money back into this place again. I've been several times in the past years but this time i could really tell how old and run down everything was looking. Very disappointing overall.

Ive been coming to Oasis since 2009. I ve always loved the facility, the staff is amazing and I always enjoy my treatments whether it s a pedi, facial body wrap and primarily I started coming here to get massages. It s one of the reasons why I was inspired to become a massage therapist myself. I always feel relaxed after leaving and pain free. Unfortunately, today I can t say that. The massage I got was sloppy and has now caused pain and inflammation in my back. It s my fault for not saying anything in the treatment itself but I was just so surprised that it was that bad and I didn t want to make the situation more awkward. I had no idea how much pain my back would end up in. She used so much oil on me that my back felt like a slip n slide. She had no flow, it felt like she was bouncing around to different areas and was digging into the muscles with force, not pressure. There is a difference. And any educated RMT will tell you that you do not dig the point of your elbow into your clients muscle tissue. That can cause muscle and/or nerve damage. It was rough and not therapeutic in any way. I left feeling super surprised, kind of achy and only started noticing pain getting worse as the night goes on. Trying to sleep is very difficult with this back pain. Luckily I had an amazing facial after that to counteract the massage. She was professional and attentive to my needs. I will always recommend Oasis but I m very disappointed in this experience.

*udate* I had to go to my regular massage therapist to fix what was done and though it s getting better, it s still out of sorts.

Worst manicure I have had in ages. My sisters and I were there today and because I had polish on (they also charged an extra 15.00 to take the polish off) the girl ran me through my manicure like wildfire just to keep up and send us all out at the same time, they also did not dry the polish but sent us on our way to carry our purses out by ourselves with wet nails. I watched my sisters get these long 10 min arm massages (mine was 10 secs long) lots of time spent on nails looking great etc and when the girl bumped my one nail at the end and smudged the polish she ran her gloved hand over the nail and just put more polish on it. I would never ever recommend anyone to go to this place considering the price (80.00) and the sloppy job that was done.

WORST SERVICE EVER!!!!!! The front staff of this spa all have a bad attitude and are very rude! I booked and appointment for my wife but ended up cancelling it minutes later, Oasis did not cancel it on their end so they wanted to charge us. I have asked to talk to the owner but he won't call me back, not one manager talked to me, the only people I spoke to was the rude girls at the front. I have contacted my credit card company to make sure they do not charge me for their mistake. I will make sure that I tell everyone I know never to go there, so I am warning all of you out there pick another spa!!!!! To top it off they are over priced anyway!!

I had been wanting to visit Oasis Spa for years but was unable to until I won a hot stone massage! To say I was excited would be an understatement.
To start, the staff was very accommodating to me having to reschedule my appointment which was great! Upon arrival I was greeted and given a tour of the facility. I waited for my RMT in the "Sanctuary" room which was very relaxing.
Lilia was my therapist for the hot stone massage. I had never had a hot stone massage before and loved every second of it. She was so great and no muscle pain remained by the time we were done! I used the steam room and shower afterward and I really appreciated the fact that they offer a nice, large sized robe and towels.
I can't wait to come back and unwind again!

I visit Oasis Spa at least once a month for the last 5 years. Despite some weaker areas such as their front end staff; the professionals who perform the services are beyond amazing.

I have had manicures, pedicures, several different types of massages. If you enjoy massage treatments then you NEED to see Amanda Janzen Bach. She is amazing at what she does. Her treatments are entirely tailored to you when you go consistently (she does Thai, Reiki, Cranial Sacral therapies to name a few). I have seen her for two pregnancies for pre-natal work which benefited me and the babies more than I could have thought.

If you just enjoy occasional treatments she will make sure to give you the most out of your time scheduled. She is professional, friendly, qualified and I highly recommend her massage services.

The spa overall is extremely quiet, relaxing and good for your soul! Go. Try it. You will not regret seeing her.

I love this place! I love the style, the staff are amazing and the services are amazing! I got my first facial here, and the lady (I can't remember her name, started with W) did the waxing so well it didn't hurt at all. Highly recommend this place!

I had a massage there and was very disappointed. During my massage the masseuse got a text and I heard the distinct ding of an apple phone ring tone. I could also hear the people out in the hallway talking which was very distracting when trying to relax. The masseuse wasn t talented either. However, the people were very nice.

Oasis Spa....is my go-to place for 'getting away from it all' and on those days when all I need is some 'me time and excellent pampering'. The Great Room offers a comfortable relaxing beginning to whatever services I have chosen. The staff are well trained professionals, & I can relax into their good care.
Becoming a passport holder, ensures monthly bonuses which is always a treat.
I discovered Oasis some 15 years ago when having newly moved to Calgary...my Real Estate agent told me it was 'simply the best spa in the city' and just around the corner from where I was renting. Since it was my birthday...I gave them a try and have never looked back.
I highly recommend Oasis Wellness Centre and Spa.

Highly overpriced for whats offered. I was not impressed with my massage either.. mediocre massage therapist. 140$ for a massage. Need more skilled massage therapist for deep tissue massage. Steam room was nice I guess but still not worth that amount of money. Very dissapointed I wasted my money.

Used a Groupon for massage and facial. So good! Great little luxury service, with changing rooms, showers, sauna, etc. plus a lounge area if you have a big group. Highly recommend, and I will definitely be going again in the future.

We have been coming here for years, and with good reason! The staff are always so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and very welcoming. My facialist and massage therapist made me feel very comfortable amidst these times. Thank you! We will be back again and again!

I've been to Oasis a few times over the years. The best spa service I received was from Angelina. I had purchased two Team Buys for the Teye Facial and pedicure for $98. Angelina was so friendly, thorough, and professional. After my first facial/pedi, I was so impressed by her that I wrote to the management about the service I received from Angelina. The Spa rewarded me with a $50 Teye product gift card for the next time I returned. My second facial/pedi was with Angelina (as I had requested her again), and I received nothing but exceptional customer service from Angelina again. She is awesome!

Me and 2 other family members booked appointments for massage. Upon booking the appointments we were not told about any mandatory tips, but then when I called again another day to confirm the appointments, I was told that Oasis is doing contactless checkout, which is great but they asked if I want to give 10% or 15% tips, as it is mandatory. I have never been to a massage that required that much tip, especially before I even had the massage to know if they deserve a tip of $13.50. The website doesn't say anything about mandatory tips and that too 10% minimum. Not sure what kind of business would ask a whole family to pay tips of $13.50 minimum for each person?
I cancelled all 3 appointments and would not recommend this place, as it seems like they care more about the money than the service they provide to customer.

Amazing experience every time! The staff is all very friendly and helpful, and I love all of their services. The facial is amazing, and it's the only place I will go for a pedicure. Catherine and Lola are both great massage therapists as well. Highly recommend.

First timer at thistgeorgeius facility. Therapeutic massage with Sara Lane was first class, so knowledgeable. The amenities and atmosphere within the facility are top notch. Enjoy sauna, tea, flavored water and relax as long as you choose. It is so worth a time out from City life. True spa experience. If you are getting a massage elsewhere, you are not getting the Oasis experience.

Quiet and out of the way, there is next to no noise from the outside world once you enter. Staff are friendly and accommodating, and the therapists are well trained and customer oriented.

There's a handful of value added bonuses: a wide selection of tea and flavored water at the waiting area, wet and dry saunas, grooming products, and showers at no charge. Free lockers also help with peace of mind, so no need to bring everything into the room with you.

It was ok but not the same level of service as I have been there many times. For the facial the aesthetician left for quite some time, when I believe she could have been still massaging my hands. As she was gone for about 10-15 mins. Will have to consider perhaps elsewhere. Disappointed

I have been to Oasis twice over the past month and have had wonderful experiences both times! Kim did my reflexology treatment and was fantastic and Janina did my craniosacral therapy and it was amazing-she put me right to sleep! The staff was great, the change rooms were stocked and clean and the common areas were cozy as usual. I also enjoy taking my staff and friends to Oasis for treatments, it is always a relaxing time! Thank you Peter and staff :-)

I booked my massage with Rmt Tibor Soltesz, and I felt like I was reborn after that. It was so relaxing, his techniques are out of the world. Very gentle and a great massage therapist. As I have an office job I book with him every Thursday. I would certainly advise all my office buddies to do the same and get Tibor to work his magic on you.
Oh and amazing playlist too :-)
Thanks Tibor!

I had a great, relaxing facial with Sumi. It was my first time at this spa and I was impressed. I wish I had more time to enjoy the facilities (sauna and steam room before/after my facial). The facial was good - I ve had bad facial experiences before so this one was the first time after that - and she explained the products she used and recommended, without pushing sales which I appreciated. I d go again.

Laura Del Rizzo did my Botox and I was thrilled with the results. I have had problems relaxing my forehead muscle in the past, but she nailed it. The spa is classy and the service was excellent.

Calm, quiet and clean spa. Front desk, caretakers and therapists were all professional and cheerful to their guests. Locker rooms have steam and dry sauna, digital lockers, showers and complimentary personal hygiene stuff for their guests. Our therapists, Kate and Katherine, were awesome and have well trained hands! The massage overall was relaxing and uplifts your spirit! They also gave us cucumber water and apples after the massage. This will be our permanent spa in the city!

Their services rarely, if ever, go for the full advertised time (usually ending 10-15 minutes early). The staff are well-trained and usually do a good job, but the paid time that is wasted could be used for a longer massage or more detailed treatment than what is currently provided. I have gotten manicures, pedicures, facials and wax treatments.

I had a wonderful experience. The staff are excellent; professional yet personable.. The hot stone massage was a wonderful start to my day. After a short break I had the body glow (salt scrub) which was relaxing and rejuvenating. I then had a facial and felt wonderful when all was done. The facilities are relaxing and calming. I highly recommend Oasis Wellness Centre to anyone needing a little break and pampering. Thank you to Peter for accommodating me, to Curt for an incredible massage and to Kiran for a fantastic scrub and facial.

Every time I visit Calgary from Ontario I make Oasis part of my vacation. I love my pedicures from Rebecca. Such a relaxing and informative service. This visit I decided to add a Reiki treatment from Janina. Wow I love her knowledege and healing touch. Im already planning my next visit.

Woman's bathroom was closed from a flood or something. So we we're super cramed into the men's....just wasn't impressed to have that experience since I heard nice great reviews of other members that said the men's bathroom isn't anything like then the womans. Over all was great though. Enjoyed my massage! It was really nice and our facials were good too. I just hate the upselling. I understand the business encourages the esthetician. Especially after I said I wasn't interested 4 or 5 times. Obviously their get part of $30 extras!!! I may go there again. Maybe next time if I go I'll be sure to and go when I know the woman's change room is back up and functioning properly!

The pedicure I had with Stella was outstanding. She has a lovely lovely touch, including the massage, and I was extremely happy and relaxed afterwards. I would definitely ask for her again specifically. The massage I had with a massage therapist who has since left, however, was terrible. I had to ask several times for her to lighten up and slow down. I seriously felt like I was treated like a race horse ready to shoot out the gates. Eventually I gave up asking her and just waited for it to be over. The massage I had from the aesthetician was way more relaxing. It was frustrating because I came on my birthday to relax. I only gave 3 stars because I told the manager about it when I was paying and there was nothing other than a recommendation for next time. Honestly it was such a bad massage I would have thought I would have at least received a credit.

Not what I expected! I was surprised to see this spa! The Egiptian inspiration is inviting (stunning deco on walls) and the dim lights gives a feeling of relaxation and unwinding. Love this spa! We had a facial done and it was great. The lady I had was very knowledgeable, very careful with my skin and made the experience a relaxing one. I even fell asleep! They had some instrumental tunes and I m glad the volume wasn t high and the at the music was never changed to singing tunes or those annoying covers of songs -some spas do that and is annoying.
They have some great lounging areas and the teas they provide are AMAZING! I asked where they came from and they are from David s Tea. I took a few pics but they are a bit blurry.

Service of the staff in the back was great! From the cleaning ladies to the cosmetician staff.

Highly recommend this place!

Don't pay much attention to the negative reviews - they are clearly outdated and many times, only people who are unhappy with their experience come to the internet to write a review. Today, I went in for a facial (I had a groupon), and it was amazing. I've had many facials before, and I have to say, this facial was comparable for a $200+ facial at the Banff Springs Spa. Would highly recommend!

I've gone to Oasis to receive a facial and another time to get some waxing done. Christina was my esthetician both times. My facial was very relaxing and Christina was very knowledgeable, answering all my questions and making sure i felt very comfortable. The waxing was done very well, didn't miss anything, wasn't too painful, and made me feel very comfortable. I would recommend both Oasis, and Christina specifically to anyone without hesitation.

Located in the heart of lower Mount Royal this place really is an oasis in the inner City. The interior is getting a tad dated, however they are slowly undergoing renovations. Atmosphere is quiet and calming. Should you want some privacy, you can book private waiting rooms.

I usually opt for facial and a massage appointment so I can't comment on any other services.

For the massage I had Rocky. He used ample pressure in order to loosen up the number muscle knots that I had, while keeping the massage relaxing for the most part. I would say he is one of the better therapist I've had in the city. If you're in need of a deeper massage, I think he is a good pick.

The facial was less of a good experience for me. I felt rather pressured and upsold. I opted for a chemical peel just so I could stop hearing about it. Beyond the upsell, it was pretty standard offering.

Amazing... only negative part is when we had our private room we had staff come ask us every 10 minutes if so and so was here.... maybe the staff should have a sign with the guest name on it instead of interrupting everyone all the time. Besides that amazing!

Hi,

Hi,
My name is Cynthia and I am a member at your Spa. I am normally very happy with the level of service and results. Today was different. The pedicure was fantastic, the facial painful and it has left my face burning and scarred, pictures attached, so much so, that I had to cancel my plans for a Christmas event tonight because of the damage my face is in after my treatment. The facial today was terrible, my eyes were not covered when the light was used or any other time which resulted in getting product in my eyes. The steam was so close to my face-again without eye coverage, when I told her about it she said I was just sensitive because I have a cold. Basically, my face was washed, a peel applied, to which about 20 minutes of cold cloths put on my face after because it was burning so bad, horrible hot steam too close to my face and I could barely breath, then a mediocre hand massage that she asked me if I wanted. I have NEVER had this happen at Oasis. I will not be back-I am in pain, cannot attend my social function and embarrassed to be seen.

Thank you,
A dissatisfied former client,
Cynthia
