My grandmother stayed at the Health Center for a few weeks recovering from a fall at home. The care was wonderful! I have to say - the property is beautiful.
My Mom just moved there in November - and we love it! It's a safe environment, beautiful grounds, efficient use of space in the garden apartments, good food and a very friendly, happy retirement community!
It's been a year and i honestly have to say that this is the best retirement facility I've dealt with. The biggest thing I've been pleased with is how quickly problems are rectified, and how few problems there have been. Staff is always vigilant over potential hazards or problems. Another thing that means a great deal is that there are many locations where we can sit and visit and not be confined to the private bedroom itself. There is a lovely and SAFE path outside that is wheelchair accessible, so on nice days we have a great stroll... something unthinkable at other places we've been. There are gazebos to sit out and lounge, and a place to feed the fish. There's live music and other activities every now and again, and residents are always included. There's a library with internet access for everyone. So far, we've been very, very pleased... much more than anywhere else we've been.
During the coronavirus of 2020, The Oaks retirement home has refused to allow the residents who contracted Covid at The Oaks, to return once they ve been released from the hospital. They do this on purpose, to make it look like they have less covid outbreak numbers within the facility. This makes many family have to scramble to find alternative nursing homes to take their parents/loved ones until they have TWO NEGATIVE Covid tests. Their hands are dirty.
