This place is ridiculous. In order to eat dinner and get a bed, you are forced to endure an hour of worship. Even though, there's a big sign that says "You don't need to pray to stay".

Don't be fooled into thinking you'll be treated like a human being. Laundry? Nope. Clean clothes at least? Not a chance. Help getting off the street and ending your homelessness? Not unless you become a "disciple".

If you have a job, it better be from 8-4 or 9-5. Otherwise you can forget about the work program. They also make you attend worship and you're not allowed to leave unless you're going to work or have an approved reason.

Honestly, you're better off on the streets than in this place.

This place is a scam cult, exploiting the homeless. All who gave "positive" reviews are brainwashed, & the mind control programming is working. I'm glad that I was able to see this for what it is. There were some people who picked me up from the aquarium & "love bombed" me. Pretended to be cheerful & happy. Please research how a cult operates. I'm sorry I even gave those people my personal information & Social Security #. They didn't get my bank account information, but they tried to tell me that they'll confiscate my food stamp card & take 80% of my income & leave me with 20. The guy, Ray, tried to manipulate me into joining their fake discipleship program, & he told me that salvation is free, but peace of mind is earned, & only "earned" through THEIR program! I was not expecting this. After filling out paperwork, there was a mean young lady who gave me pajamas I didn't want to wear, & she wanted to confiscate my cellphone & search through my belongings. I don't remember her name. I told her to her face that the center is like a prison, & that they're worse than the Salvation Army. They better not use my personal information for sinister purposes, or else I'm suing. People giving 5 stars & high reviews are blinded by Satan.

The New Orleans mission is the hands and feet of Jesus in this city. No matter where any of the staff goes, the love of Christ is shared. I love being a part of this awesome ministry. If you know someone in need of help, I would highly recommend sending them to us. To God be all the glory.

I work part time 12am-3am. Not only would they not let me come back for a couple more hours of sleep and breakfast, but they kicked me out for a week.

The new Orleans mission is a blessing for alot of people , i am a Muslim and due to bad circumstances I had no place to go but I was welcome here with no problems all the bad reviews are from junkies and satanic people ,i am a Muslim and I listene to the preaching regardless if I believe or not because anything for God is good and no body or place is perfect
