Nice place, they seemed to need a reservation on a Sunday for lunch but they were happy to fit us in, food was good but a bit over priced and they has quite a small menu, with limited vegetarian options

We had lunch in this amazing venue today the place was pumping great vibe, great service, great food! The outside area is perfect for kids to play. The coffee from the takeaway stand was delicious and the barista was great.
Will we be back absolutely big thanks to the owners / managers for offering such a 5* service on an absolutely packed day!!!
We are already looking at dates for our combined birthday parties and we can t wait ;)

Went here for my parents 60th wedding anniversary on a Saturday night. Not great for me as a vegetarian but we I got by. Inside and outside areas. It was a warm night and we sat inside. Probably better if we sat outside as the cooling was on too cool. Anyway friendly staff and playground outside for the little ones.

Good isn't great. Overly fussy and over priced. Some dishes are Italian (pizza etc) others are middle eastern, others are Asian. It means nothing is really done well. Very noisy being seated near the kitchen open pass. Hummus and dukka seem to be on everything. Hummus was not very tasty and too thick.

Very disappointed. Went for lunch and both the meal and service was horrible! Sent food back and asked for a refund only to be told it was meant to taste that way. The only good thing about this restaurant is the location. Will not be going back.

I decided to take my wife here for a special 1 year anniversary dinner, if you are interested in coming here then I would genuinely suggest otherwise and here s why,

We waited for over an hour and fifteen minutes and when we asked the waitress what was happening with our food, she said she d find out but she never came back... and then the second waitress apologised and said that they have been flat out when more than half the seats were empty.

On top of this, we asked for a share plate with our starter and it was never brought over, as well as asking for a jug of water three times, the staff are careless and uninterested and they quickly took away the buzz from our special night.

The unprofessionalism was extremely disappointing as we had to take cutlery from another table, ask for napkins, and weren t even told that a few things on the menu were not being offered .

Hoping that the food would come in and save the day, I was let down once more, with my porterhouse steak being extremely fatty as if it was a $5 special from the local store.

The only saving grace was the lakeside view which due to our wait the weather became cold and we had to move inside.

The only reason I m giving 1 star is because I can t give negative stars. Disgraceful, do not waste your time and money.

Food variety, quality, quantity and customer service have all dropped over the past 12 months, but the prices are still very expensive. The quality of the cheese cake (the signature dish) has also dropped. Used to be great experience, but now I'm repeatedly disappointed.

We were welcomed and seated by James who was friendly, professional, and made a great first impression. We ordered the cheesecake, the Panna cotta, the tiramisu, and a pizza, which were all delicious and could not be faulted. The only downside was that we asked for more tiramisu and the waitress never brought it out. However, prices were also reasonable and we were very impressed with the food and will certainly be back.

DISGUSTING that the kitchen staff (including head chef) can be seen NOT WEARING FACE MASKS last week while they prepare everyone s food. Awful misconduct during a health crises that Melbourne has faced all year.

Dont think much of this place. Choices on lunch menu arent much, and not cheap.
My friend and I shared the lamb pizza as it was about the only item we thought we would enjoy. Coffee is ok. Personally I think the Fairfield boathouse is by far, a better venue. You are given a buzzer here to collect your own meal, which can be a pain if you're downstairs but the meals are nice and scenery also nicer

Despite all the great cafes and restaurants littered throughout the city, few have a view. The Boathouse is a clear exception to that. Sitting right on the banks of the river you'll quickly forget you're in the city.
You'll be paying for the privilege though. Everything is roughly 20% more expensive than it would be elsewhere and while the food tastes great and the staff is very friendly, the presentation is lacking. Order a steak and you'll get French fries and a slab of meat on a white plate. If you want any greens, that'll be another $3.

You might call it efficiency or commend them on not wanting to waste food, but when you pay a hefty premium, a pretty view is not enough. Especially when you're presented with a $1.36 debit card surcharge on the bill. In 2019 no less.
