Took a short day trip from Toledo to Akron and found this gem. If you like grilled cheese type of sandwiches, you'll love this place. I personally had the pulled pork with habanero cheddar and pickles and BBQ sauce. Along with some fresh cut fries. I began with their hummus. All of which was amazing! It's definitely worth a visit!
They are one of my favorite local restaurants. Service is typically great and their menu is expansive enough that everyone can find something they'd like. I love the atmosphere, just be aware that the patio menu and the regular restaurant menu are not the same.
The music was stupidly loud, for no one to be in there. The chips and dips that we paid 8 bucks for came in the 1.99 dip container you can buy at circle k.
The waitress was nice and did keep the glasses filled so that earned a addition star, but the atmosphere, and prices were way off.. it felt and tasted like cheap gas station food that you were paying a high premium for.
Everything was so delicious and exciting! I could have made an entire meal out if the deep fried pepperoni basket and the sweet potato fries but my sandwich was so fantastic too!
If you want a delicious grilled cheese sandwich to go along with your craft beer, this is the place for you! They have many different variations grilled cheese served with a side of Goldfish. You can get fries, but I got Goldfish, because, come on, most places give you chips, they had Goldfish! Oh, the grilled cheese was amazing!
When Lock 3 opens for the summer, I will eat here first!
I ve been coming to Lockview over the years and have to make sure they finally get a review from a longtime customer. Plenty of reasons I keep coming back. Let s start with the beer options which are always plentiful along with continual new options; especially the draft beers! They serve one of the best burgers in town as well, the Lockview Burger and it must be paired with their world class tater tots(I m a tater tot connoisseur) - a winner! And the final kickers to this place are the always friendly staff and the rooftop patio in summer!

So good! Amazing food & great atmosphere . Love the inventive grilled cheese and daft list/bottled beer. Have enjoyed coming here for almost 10 years!
Update: continue enjoy coming back for wonderful happy hour options and yummy apps. We had an outstanding service and beer selection from the server Alex-he surpassed all of our expectations and brought us so many unique, but done well, rare craft brews. From hop heavy, to fruity sours and dark porters his knowledge and ability to keep us wanting a other round of surprises was great. Lockview is definitely lucky to have a beer connoisseur like Alex.
A place for conversation, fun and simple food, good music, lots of beer selections and all around relaxing vibes. Lockview is not the bar for you to watch your sporting event at. Why? You won't be able to, This is a bar/restaurant that is built like a pub. Low dimmed at night and booths and seats made for conversation.
Grilled Cheese with flair. There is something comforting about grilled cheese, and Lockview does it great!! Cool atmosphere inside and on the open air rooftop patio.
Vast beer and spirits collection so they have something for everyone. Not only do they have grilled cheese, they have unique apps and other food as well...again, something for everyone.
Lots of cheese sandwiches. Everyone got a cheese sandeich but me. Everyone was happy witb their order. I loved my burger with pepper jack cheese. Got the tots as an appetizer. Nephew added tomato soup. Old movies playing on a big screen. Good good, experience and wait staff.
