A great young family visit or a nice chance for a meandering walk. I find zoos unacceptable and my heart aches when I see animals constantly pacing, especially, if accompanied with some kind of tic. Although, there are a few, The Living Desert Zoo has minimized those frequent characteristics in their animals.

Went with the whole family, including mother and kids. It's a really really nice private facility and the animals are obviously well cared for. Camels and giraffes are the star of the show, as you get pretty close up and get to feed them. Others were fun and felt like sort of like a zoo on a diet.

There's also this super random huge train set thing in the middle that's more interesting to watch than it seems. It's huge and someone with a sense of humor definitely built it.

Horrible service and rude staff. Overpriced on everything and a complete waste of time. Not good for kids and smells horrid. Wasted my whole day of vacation and nobody enjoyed it. Even the baby giraffe wasn t impressive at all. It s unbelievably disgusting here. There are so many more wonders at Palm Springs so don t waste your time going to a generic, overpriced, stinky zoo with long lines. The animals are not impressive at all you can see these things at any other zoo.

Be prepared to pay for everything. Admission only gets you in the "Gardens". They charge for everything extra after you get in. Smelly animal attractions and limited viewing in the middle of the day.

Super cool zoo! It has beautiful scenery and a decent amount of animals to see. It is extra money to do things like the butterfly exhibit, carousel, and feeding the giraffes. It has a cute little play area in the middle for kids and you can feed giraffes which looked like a super cool experience. It is worth the visit

This zoo is so much fun. I felt like it was well staffed with we encountered so many helpful people. The employees/volunteers seemed happy to be there and the enthusiasm they have for the animals showed. I highly suggest taking a visit here.

I absolutely loved this place!! My bf and I were looking to doing something outdoors. It was full of MANY animals, and I feel like we saw almost all of them. I was very satisfied with the amount of interaction there is with the animals too. Now, there is construction going on for the new Rhino Project(that looks amazing) that is visible but I felt didn't disrupt the experience. Expect to see many little desert trails that are super cool to check out. Maybe not so much for small kids, but kids that are ok with lizards and know not to touch the cactus might find it very adventurous .

This was our second visit, we loved it so much we bought a season pass for two, which was a great deal. It came with two free guest passes that we used for our friends the first day, and two free giraffe feedings. I think it saved us money on the first day! And it allows you to enter the zoo two hours earlier than most. Great deal, beautiful zoo. The volunteers made our experience seem very personal. Highly recommend.

The only part that I enjoyed was feeding the giraffe. All the other animals were difficult to see if you could see them at all. Also a majority of the zoo was under construction which was not in the website.

My oldest friend was married here yesterday, and all of the staff were SO kind, patient and professional. I'm afraid we didn't have time to see much of the park, but the Giraffe Exhibit was surreal at dusk, all elongated neck silhouettes and Venusian sunsets. I can't say enough good things about the staff though. So great. Five stars for service!

This is a small desert zoo there are a variety of animals/mammals. Excellent staff, now this is the desert so bring water, sunscreen and snacks maybe even an umbrella. Weather ranges from 87-115 degrees Fahrenheit. Theres also a really cool butterfly cage. Now if your with a child or elder please bring a mobile chair or comfortable seating. This zoo is excellent for their holiday events. There are extremely helpful to the community and children.

Africa You can observe animals in North America. You can see the animals at close range by turning around for feeding time. It was a new experience that saw cheetahs and coyotes closely. In the evening the zoo is lighted up. In the afternoon, visit around 2:30, you can experience feeding, sunset, light up.

Absolute beautiful and the ticket price was great. It's a big area with so many different animals and hidden places like the green oasis. You can also go hiking through a part of San Andreas.
But I don't think it's such a great zoo if you have small children. Theres a lot to walk if you want to see everything. But I loved it. I've never been to a zoo this amazing

A great zoo with extremely friendly and attentive staff. The animals are well-taken care of and although they do display stereotypies (mostly mindless pacing), you can t really expect them not to at a zoo I guess (I really do hope this norm changes in the future). It would be nice if some of the animals in smaller enclosures had a larger enclosure to go in during closed hours. I also severely don t agree with the camel rides...
