Absolutely delicious, vast menu and specials available. Excellent, attentive service even when busy and organised with COVID measures. Had indoor and outside seating with blankets and heaters! Pro tip: save room for desert. The cheesecake is next level!
Our first time using the take out service tonight. We were passing and decided to try it and wait rather than go home and back. Fantastic service, food was excellent. Two lion burger dinners and a Fish pie. Thank you Lion staff really really enjoyed and will return.
Seated 2 of us and a baby even tho was really busy. Real good food, specials menu was on point

We had such a lovely lunch today at the Lion Inn.
A happy post-lockdown reunion with my sister, our table of six were looked after wonderfully by the friendly and charming staff.
We sat outside in the open sided tent which was very warm and comfortable. There was an overhead heater and we were offered lap blankets.
The food, Ribs, Skate and Fish and chips were very nice and at a reasonable cost.
We also ordered two kids menus which if I am being super critical the meat in each case was a little dry. I do appreciate though there are very strict food safety rules governing the way you cook children s meals and this in general seems to contribute to overcooking of burgers.
All in all though a very pleasurable experience.
We will certainly return.
Outstanding food at a very fair price. Have always enjoyed eating at the Lion, and the food is always consistent and of excellent quality. The takeaway service is also efficient and food just as great. Highly recommend.
Absolute gem of a restaurant, lovely decor and really cosy place. What makes this place great is it gives you the luxury dining experience for the same price you d expect to pay at a chain restaurant.
My advice would be to try the Fish & Chips. Introduced it to two friends and they agree it s the best they ve ever had.
