They do not pay their bills. They owe 22000 dollars to a local AC company who did work for them on credit. They refused to pay and did not communicate with the ac company.
Took a while before writing this review because I wanted to have a clear opinion of my experience working for this company. I was drawn in by the fact the company was family based, and that is what sold me to start working here. I especially loved that the caregivers were super hardworking and each had picked a resident who they especially looked out for. As a nurse that was great team work as the caregivers would report any time their mama/papa seemed different. The caregivers and med tech basically run the building but were often under staffed and under paid. It was always a hustle for them to get a raise. ED would blame corporate and corporate would blame ED. There was a change of management three times in the almost 2 years I worked there hence new policies and rules were getting implemented each time only to be tossed out as soon as the next manager came in. There was a lot of unprofessional behavior noted, and as much as it was unspoken, some racism. Going up the ranks was very easy, infact, an ED doesn t require any degree and basically anyone can be bumped up if you know the right people and look a certain way. My biggest issue came when we got N.Davis as our new ED. She did not bother to introduce herself to the staff, residents or family members and we each ended up awkwardly walking to her office to introduce ourselves. The first couple weeks we hardly saw her as she would leave halfway through the day. Her MOD rotation was spent with her coming in with a friend and setting up pillows and leaving. Never saw her for any other weekend after that. Her first order of business was to try and demote and move around the administrative staff so she could bring in her replacements from her previous building. When that didn t work, she started cracking on each department one by one. She kept insisting on how the census was low and that she would have to cut down hours and if things didn t improve she would have to lay off some people. She cut down hours for most of the administration staff. I had worked through most of my pregnancy the previous year and wasn t physically able to do all my duties but what couldn t be done was substituted with another task by the previous ED. When I came back, I touched base with Davis and expressed my concerns and commitment to coming back to work. I worked through some odd hours, went to the ER with a couple patients only to be clocked out earlier than the time I actually left the hospital. I would receive calls from family members and notify Davis when out of work, but she never compensated me, regardless of the fact I was an hourly employee. At one time she flat out told me not to clock in, to finish my charting and leave. I stayed at work for two hours and after a few days decided to fill a punch exception. She looked at me sighed then took the paper. Fast forward, my supervisor and I were finally getting the hang of things and had divided our duties when Davis began with the constant criticism and scrutiny. We contemplated talking to corporate but there had been changes and we weren t exactly sure on who to speak to regarding our issues. I decided to stick it out and follow Davis recommendations to improve but each week she seemed to think something else was wrong. Some of the things she talked about were completely inaccurate, for instant call lights and meals. She wanted me to work as a caregiver on the floor when short instead of as a med passer, regardless the fact I am a licensed nurse and protocol said otherwise. Eventually Davis dismissed me from the company over an error that we had already discussed and had been fixed with the words Leave now you are trespassing on this property. Was devastated, as my residents,family and staff had become family. I spoke with Dashna from HR. I missed her call once and tried to call her back multiple times to follow up but wasn t able to reach her. I ended up filing for unemployment and after an investigation they concluded that there was no negligence in my work or the reason she let me go and therefore they had to pay my unemployment.
