About The Kelberman Center
The Kelberman Center is a non-profit organization that has been providing autism services for children, adults, and families in the Mohawk Valley and Central New York since 2005. The center was founded by Robert Kelberman, who had a son with autism and saw the need for more comprehensive services in the area.
The center's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families through evidence-based practices, education, research, and community outreach. They offer a wide range of programs and services that are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
One of their most popular programs is Early Intervention Services (EIS), which provides support to children under three years old who have been diagnosed with or are at risk for ASD. The program includes home-based therapy sessions that focus on developing communication skills, socialization skills, behavior management techniques, and more.
For school-aged children with ASD, The Kelberman Center offers Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. ABA is an evidence-based treatment approach that focuses on teaching new skills while reducing challenging behaviors. The center's team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) work closely with each child's school team to ensure consistency across all settings.
In addition to EIS and ABA therapy, The Kelberman Center also offers vocational training programs for adults with ASD. These programs help individuals develop job skills such as time management, communication skills, problem-solving abilities while providing them opportunities to gain real-world work experience through partnerships with local businesses.
The center also provides family support services such as counseling sessions where parents can discuss their concerns about their child's development or behavior challenges they may be facing at home or school.
What sets The Kelberman Center apart from other providers in the area is its commitment to research. They conduct ongoing research studies aimed at improving outcomes for individuals with ASD while also sharing their findings through publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Overall if you're looking for high-quality autism services provided by experienced professionals who truly care about your loved one's well-being then look no further than The Kelberman Center!
