After looking through the events happening in the Harford County area yesterday, I discovered that John Carroll was having a performance of "The Addams Family" this weekend. Showed up at the high school 45 minutes early to attempt to get seats close enough to enjoy the play. Both my girlfriend and I have difficulty at hearing and seeing the performers if we sit too far away from the stage. I purchased tickets that were close enough to the stage for us to enjoy the play. After seating ourselves for approximately 30 minutes, a young lady came to inform us that we were in the wrong seats. I showed her the ticket that we had which indicated we were in the correct seats. She left but came back a few minutes later to tell us we were in the wrong seats and we would have to move. I once again indicated that the ticket we had was the correct ticket. She then informed us that the people that were with her had purchased the tickets online and had another ticket that we could have that was in the balcony section. Due to the distance from the balcony section to the stage, my friend and I would not be able to enjoy the performance at all. After a little more discussion, which bordered on rudeness, we got up from our seats and approached the ticket sale section to attempt to get seats that were just as close as the ones we purchased. By this time there were a number of people in line purchasing tickets for the performance. By the time we were waited on I was informed that there were no more tickets as close as the ones that we originally purchased. As Senior Citizens who attend and support many of the local high school events, the brusque way that the the problem was handled was certainly not appreciated. I understand that mistakes are made in life, but how they are handled makes an impression that lasts for a long time.

Me and my boyfriend are seniors and enjoy going to school plays for support and the fact that we don't see or hear well these days so chose an afternoon matinee. We arrived 45 minutes early to ensure we received close seats and could hear well and see well. We had been in ours seats about 35 minutes when a young girl told us another family ordered their seats online and and although it was the schools fault that they gave us both the same seat assignment, we would have to move. She only had seats left in the back row where we could not see or hear as well. I explained this to her and she said that we had to move. Now I have spent an hour of wasted time on waiting there and then having to wait again to return the tickets. She was quit rude and it may of been her family because she insisted we move. I am so disappointed in how we had to simply go home. When she gets old I hope nobody treats her as she treated us. I so wanted to see that play as we have always had such a good time at school plays. I think free tickets to another event is in order. You don't even offer senior discounts so why did I have to move when we came so early? sincerely a unhappy trooper, Nancy
