Second time here and surely a good hotel to be staying at when in Richmond. Truly a historic landmark of Virginia, this hotel is very well maintained and is very clean. Very spacious and the lighting in the room is good. Service is excellent as well. One of my top great hotels of the world. Tip: try dinner at top-notch fine dining at Lemaire. Breakfast at TJ's is also nice.

DO NOT stay at this hotel We stayed this past weekend and woke up to this email this morning: We have become aware of damages to some of the furniture in the room you occupied on October 31, 2020. There may be additional charges. Please contact our Director of Security ( ..) for further information. What type of hotel sends out emails like that with no proof or warning?! Especially one that is a 5 star hotel! When I called them, the Director of Security would not tell me what damage we allegedly did. IT IS A SCAM! Thank goodness I booked through American Express and they said they would deal with them. But beware, this seriously appears to be a scam they are running. I m not sure how its legal to accuse a patron of damage with no proof and then say there will be additional charges without my authorization. I am still in shock that a hotel can say there is damage and threaten additional charges with no proof, pictures or specifics and get away with it! This goes without saying, but there was no damage to the room, before we got there or after we left. Clearly we will not be back and I will leave reviews everywhere possible to warn people. IT. IS. A. SCAM.

Incredible 5 star service and accommodations. No view and not really near the theater district, downtown businesses like the James Center, or the bottom - you have to drive... But still an excellent hotel.

Excellent bruch buffet with great cuisine, nice staff, champagne (if that's what suits your fancy), and a wide variety of foods. It comes complete with tasty desserts, including good cheesecake. Pricey, but it's the Jefferson. You're paying not just for food, but for an experience.

Live trio band with acoustic guitar, piano, and drums added a wonderfully relaxing touch to the atmosphere. The ambiance and setting were of elegance. Would definitely go back again.

Went to the Jefferson for a breakfast meeting in one of the conference rooms. The staff was very attentive and the food was great. This historic hotel is absolutely beautiful and I'll definitely be booking a room in the future.

We did not stay here, just walked around. What a beautiful place with so much history! You could spend a good hour strolling around (and in fact they have a DIY walking tour if you ask at the desk).

Visiting the Jefferson hotel has been an annual Christmas tradition for us for years now. Their decorations are truly amazing and sure to put you in a holiday mood. The luxury combined with history is an experience like no other. Strongly recommend to visit at Christmas time.

Go every year for the company Christmas party. Staff incredibly friendly, food is excellent. The holiday decorations are very pretty and the pastry chef always makes a huge candy sculpture. Been told brunch on the weekends is worth a visit.

This is a review of the Sunday brunch at the Jefferson. This is a top notch brunch, nothing left to be wanted, too wide array of items to try to list. Absolutely the best eggs Benedict every experienced. Endless, fresh squeezed orange juice. Endless champagne. The only downfall is that they are so popular that reservations are mandatory, and you only get a two hour slot for your reservation. With that in mind you should have plenty of time. They WILL let you know when your time is up.

We came to Richmond to see the Lion King and we try to bring our dog with us whenever we travel by car. Being pet-friendly and close to the theater, the Jefferson was a great option for us. Upon check in, our dog, Peaches, charmed the man at the desk into upgrading us to a suite - he thought we needed more room for her and who were we to argue!! This hotel is beautiful, both inside and out, and the staff is phenomenal - everyone we met went out of their way to make our stay truly amazing!

Always a favorite, my family remembers the days when "baby alligators" were in the fountains. We all move toward serenity. Sometimes that's found on a stroll in the woods or bike ride in the park. Other times the window is more narrow & a cardamom aromatherapy lunch is the gift of calm. The Jefferson Hotel is a respite from any kind of day. Be generous with your servers as they don't see the same respite.

My wonderful experience in Jefferson is definitely one of the best that I've experienced. The service, decor, amenities and overall experience was second to none. The rooms are spacious, elegantly and tastefully decorated and include all of the little extras that you would expect. I highly recommend and will most certainly return.
