The island school is a semester program which pushes students to integrate with the environment and each other through place-based cooperative. Athletics, SCUBA diving during marine ecology, and research projects here will influence your thinking for years, and the friendships you make here really are forever.

Wish you could spend all of high school here! If your son or daughter has the chance to go, just do it. It's the type of place that never leaves you. Real learning takes place here. Both about yourself and the world around you.

I participated in an Educational Program at Cape Eleuthera Institute, part of an umbrella which includes The Island School. It was an amazing experience for me, and im sure for those who do the semester program. Would definitely go again, especially during the winter months!

I have such a deep love for this place. I was a student for the Spring 2019 semester. I made some of my best friends here. I have had an unreal amount of magical experiences and memories here. Honestly, the best way to describe this place is magical. It felt like another world when I was a student, the school fosters an incredible community with amazing supportive advisors. If you are or know somebody who is a freshman or sophomore please tell them to apply for a life changing experience that will stay with you forever.
