I spent my birthday weekend here. What a beautiful place. Everyone was so kind, our room was gorgeous, the view was perfect and will absolutely visit again. It really is the best kept secret that should be told.

Beautiful location and view. I do wish there was a clear path down to the Lake. Stayed in the Leffingwell Suite. Beautiful and spacious. Complimentary prosecco was a nice touch. Everyone there was friendly, warm, and helpful. The is an outdoor firepit, and it would have been lovely if they had it going... not sure why it wasn't :(. I was a bit surprised that they charged me for 2 eggs in addition to my pancakes... hate being nickle and dimed. Leaves a less than pleasant taste.

Beautiful hotel over looking Lake George. The staff are very personable, friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Montcalm which had some heating issues (too hot) in the winter period; regulated by opening some windows though. Don't let that stop you staying though, the building has so much character, you won't be disappointed!

This was an incredible experience! The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. The townhouses on site are really cozy and you feel right at home staying there. Not once did I feel like I was in just some ordinary hotel, it s so much more than that! The staff is all very friendly, hospitable, and add to the experience. All lodging will pale in comparison after staying at this divine palace overlooking the mountains and a gorgeous lake.

This is one of the most romantic getaways I have seen. The suites are elegant and well appointed in Victorian style. Most have jacuzzi, fireplace and wonderful views. The dining rooms are quiet and elegant and the food is spectacular.
The staff is beyond reproach and are all polite, friendly, considerate, caring and will go out of their way to make the stay a memorable experience.
I recommend the Inn without any reservations, (although you will need reservations as there are only a dozen suites)

My wife and I had dinner during the Lake George Restaurant Week and had an amazing meal. Despite having only a couple of options for each course available we did not feel the menu was lacking for the event. Each course was made to order and was excellently prepared and presented. Our cocktails were unique and tasted magnificent. The atmosphere and waitresses were superb and something we enjoyed immensely. We will certainly go back again.

The venue is absolutely fantastic. We got there an hour before our reservation and enjoyed a glass of wine by the fire in the library. The one thing that stood in the way of a 5 star rating for me was the interruption to a quiet evening by someone from the group having the banquet. What should have been a quiet relaxing atmosphere for us to chat in the library turned into a chaotic mess when these two women and a gentleman started opening boxes and removing glow sticks for the banquet next door. The staff did nothing to move them to a different area as there were people like us trying to relax in the library. Very unprofessional and rude on the part of the other guest. Otherwise the staff, wine selection, and food was outstanding!

The people are as lovely as the views of lake George. By far the most elegant bnb/hotel in the area. Breakfast was incredible and complimentary with the room, and it was absolutely fabulous. I don't even like breakfast and I ate!

My wife and I stayed back in November from the 14th to the 16 th and we both thought this place was magnificent. The property was beautiful and peaceful and the Inn felt like we stepped back in time with its beautiful and dream like rooms. The staff were professional and very personable especially Joanne who was a wealth of information and made us feel like we were staying at a relatives home rather than a hotel. Dinner looked and tasted great and the included breakfast options were perfect. We loved this place and we would recommend this place to all our friends and family. If all goes well we will see you next year.

Lovely accommodation we had the best Villa for privacy and the beautiful view of the lake. Great place for children and family members. Staff were professional and accommodating. We will definitely be back soon. I have been coming to L. G. for over 40 years and enjoyed my time at Inn At Erlowest more this trip.

The inn was easy to find, as it was right off of I-87, and the views were breathtaking. The wedding ceremony was right on the lake and the reception that followed was gorgeous and flawlessly executed. The food was really fantastic. All in all, a great evening.

My first time there. Servers & bartenders were excellent! Food was bland & crazy small portions! Wedding party had to order pizza later! They also ran out of a particular beer after the bride & groom specifically requested extra for their wedding. Staff went out during the wedding & bought more, but it wasn't cold. Warm beer, small food portions = a so-so rating.

We stayed in the Schuyler suite. It was incredible, super romantic, and the room was giant. Every breakfast item was delicious, and we dined in an igloo as well, which was also delightful. Staff were all so friendly and even shipped back an item of mine that I had accidentally left in the wardrobe. Highly recommend.

The Inn was very nice. There were a few issues with the room, but the staff was very attentive about it, and were more than willing to make up for any shortcomings. That said, the property is beautiful, and the views from the Veranda are stunning! The food was great, and the wine list was TOP NOTCH! They did a great job in the middle of a Pandemic, with more limited services than normal at the time of our visit. I would definitely go back in the summer!

Stayed in the Schuyler Room and it was absolutely beautiful. Dinner and breakfast were so delicious and we felt so comfortable and at home. Joanne and the staff were so accommodating and nice. (They even brushed the snow off our car in the morning.) Would recommend to couple looking for an exquisite overnight stay!

My husband surprised me for my anniversary and it was such an amazing experience that I feel obligated to review the Inn. The property is beyond beautiful and the panoramic lake view majestic. The staff is personable and genuinely friendly and helpful. Each room is decorated tastefully and the bathrooms are brand-new, immaculate and state of the art with hot tub and marble shower. Breakfast is included and the menu offers indulgences as well as healthy items. The Dinner menu offered items from filet mignon to venison to sea bass and was prepared and presented perfectly. Prices are on the high end but was fine for us given this was a special experience and special occasion. Overall, I have only positive things to say about this truly exceptional Inn.

I had an excellent experience at their restaurant. I was able to sit outside overlooking Lake George at a private table for two. The setting here is great, you have to see it to believe it! Staff was very attentive to my table, and you could tell they cared about the service they provided. The food was definitely the best I have had in a long time. The chef does a fantastic job making the meal visually appealing and delicious. Erlowest certainly cares about their customers and the service they provide, and it shows! We will be back to stay in one of their rooms soon. An absolute MUST visit in Lake George!!

Beautiful setting for my son's wedding! Our room had a sink that clogged and a bathroom that had an foul smell. We could never seem to get the temperature right. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The food at the wedding was quite good.

Went for restaurants week and everything was done right. Had a drink in the library bar while we waited for the fire table on the patio. Well worth the wait . The table sat four very comfortably and literally had a gas fire with tons of clear glass beads in the middle. Food and service matched the amazing views.

I was there for my cousin's wedding. The building and grounds were beautiful and the view of the lake and mountains was spectacular. All of the staff were friendly. The food was probably the best food I've ever had at a wedding. I did not see inside any of the rooms for rent but I heard they were nice, but pricy.

One of my wedding guests wrote a review approximately 9 months ago because there was a problem with the Inn charging my bridal party for drinks. The GM responded to him approximately 2 weeks ago with a response that they knew nothing about it and it was probably part of the written agreement but because they couldn t remember and couldn t go back they are unable to verify. I am writing this review to verify that during my wedding they were trying to charge my bridal party during cocktail hour as they were stuck in a room waiting for the photographer to grab them for more pictures. There are so many more issues that I had with this place. I was super excited at first to have my wedding there because I had attended a GOP meeting a year before my wedding. I was very eager to sign the paperwork with them. Unfortunately, maybe a little too eager. I am in the wedding business myself and have been a bridesmaid 13 times. Needless to say, I know my stuff. I often felt like I wasn t being heard, and felt terrible for my mother who helped us foot the bill because I felt like they treated her even more poorly. I didn t get a chance to eat the night of my wedding and had requested we have a fresh set of dinners sent up to our room. I wanted them to be cold seeing as how there was a microwave and refrigerator right in the honeymoon suite. They boxed them and left them out in a corner hidden so I never saw them until the following morning which they were than spoiled. I asked for an extra set the morning after (knowing that they would have extra because where I work we always have extra), only to be told they didn't have any. They did give us the rest of the desserts however. I don t care if you re spending $5,000 or $500,000, I was always taught you treat everyone the same. I didn t pick their cheapest package, but I didn t pick their more expensive package but I did feel like I was treated more poorly than the wedding from the night before who seemed to pick the more expensive package. It has been almost a year since my wedding happened and I am still so disappointed from it. In fact, I have been so disappointed I haven t wanted to write this review because of the anger and hurt I feel from feeling like I wasn t treated how I should have been during one of the more significant days of my life. Hope this helps the rest of you out there!

Fine dining and beautiful rooms, some with balconies. The inn is a former private mansion that looks out over Lake George. Set almost at the waters edge it's a stunning view from the patio.

Was there for a wedding. Set up for the ceremony was by the lake near the boat launch. Steep hill to the area but ample drivers for golf cart drop off from parking lot. 4pm ceremony only half the chairs were shaded by a tree. Reception area well decorated and staffed. Small dance floor. Staff was attentive and swift. Beautiful terrace overlooking the lake.

The setting of the Erlowest and our suite were beautiful. However, the food is somewhat over-rated and limited. My salmon was under cooked and had to be sent back. They didn't charge me for my meal, but I really wasn't even hungry by the time it was served. And my husband was long finished his entree when I finally got my cooked fish, which wasn't anything special.
The breakfast in the morning was delicious and the woman at the front desk was love lovely. The experience of staying in this unique inn was something memorable. Just wish we could have enjoyed dinner. Oh, did I mention the smoke alarm went off during dinner for 20 minutes!!!

along with the views of lake george. just a spectacular visit.

The wedding we attended was beautiful and the staff were very professional. I would have rated 4 stars or possibly 5 but we had one major gripe. The wedding was an open bar starting at cocktail hour. My wife, being in the wedding party, was in a separate area for approximately an hour before being announced. They were offered champagne by the staff, sounds great right? They all of course wanted one. "That will be $7. The open bar starts at 7:00 pm." You would think a wedding at this very expressive and prestigious venue would be able to spring for champagne for the bridal party.. Nope, give us money. Most of those girls didn't even have their purses with them because, duh they are in the wedding party and leave them with their dates! Bad form on that one. Change that policy or don't offer it at all.

Was there for Lake George Restaurant Week. Beautiful location and spectacular views of the lake. The mansion was really beautiful inside. Excellent service for the most part though there was one person who seemed to be a bit clueless. Wine was good. Food was also very interesting. Great ideas. Lots of flavor. The harvest bisque was a butternut squash with a dash of maple syrup. Absolutely brilliant The tenderloin was a bit overdone for my taste, but the risotto and jus were exquisite. The chef is definitely someone who loves food and I would be happy to try some of his other creations.

Late October, Saturday with a reservation for two at 6:15. A wonderful anniversary dinner. Great wine selection and a fantastic dinner menu. Quiet place to eat. No loud background music, only polite conversations by those in attendance. Great sized portions on the salad and soup. Not over the top on the main course. No room for dessert, though the options sounded great. We were not rushed out of our table and the wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. We plan on returning here for another dinner. There was a wedding party on the other side of the building, but you would never know it. Just a great place.

I love working at the Inn at Erlowest. As a wedding and event photographer, I generally get to come to the inn once or twice a year to photograph events. Every time I've been there, the staff and management have been very courteous and super accommodating for me and my assistant. And the space is absolutely gorgeous!

Beautiful room on beautiful grounds ! Breakfast was chosen night before and served in morning. Room includes two water bottles and two mini bottles of champagne. Room was a tad dusty. With that being the only "issue" I definitely give it 4 stats. Around 1 am we did wake up to an argument outside of our window which was different. Full blown screaming , unfortunate for us I suppose. All in all a great stay

I visited the inn as a maid of honor in my best friend's wedding. We came to visit the inn and see the townhouses. We were also checking out the wedding venue. We just walked around and the place was well maintained, the townhouses looked like they had been a little updates. Overall, I am very excited to come and stay on Labor Day weekend.

If you want to be in a room that smells so strong of bleach that your eyes burn ,because the wedding party the night before got sick in the room, than this is the place for you. We were looking forward to relaxing on the beach and pool- but be sure your in excellent health with no back issues because the water is DOWN the hill, ask for help getting there and if they are not busy with preparing for another wedding you will be taken down. Not sure how you will get back up? When I booked- the prices for rooms are not clear on the site, we were charged more than expected and when I called to ask to be changed they upgraded me, that was nice until we got to the room, the smell was sickening and the wedding group is hanging out under your window. We asked to move and they said no more rooms were available. When I complained afterward I was told they offered me to move to another hotel completely which we were NOT. In my search of the area there were no other rooms any where except for dives available. I cleaned the room myself, and had them wipe the bathroom in hopes of bleach not making us really sick and we put the fan on in the bathroom and kept the door shut. The carpet was never even vacuumed there were bobby pins all over the room. There was a cup of strange blue fluid in a glass cup on the sink. I strongly suggest you book elsewhere if you want your moneys worth. The spa tub is hard to get in and out of, no support bar to hold. The bed was a 3 out of a 5. Your view of the lake is good when your looking between a group of rentals that are lakeside. We will not be back here.

We went there for a wedding and it was gorgeous! The food was amazing for both reception & brunch. The view is amazing and you can even pull up there by boat. Location is great, very private and quiet.

I photographed a wedding at the Inn at Erlowest for the first time on November 2nd. From a vendors standpoint, everything was flawless and I can't express how much I loved working there. The staff was so easy to work with, accommodating and knowledgable. The venue and banquet coordinators were amazing. While you would think this would be standard for venues, it is unfortunately not the case for most. They even had the groundskeepers clearing the area near the lake of geese droppings and leaves prior to portrait time (this is unheard of!). When I commented favorably about this the response was "Well, if I was a bride I wouldn't want to deal with that so we try to take care of them as if it were ourselves". And the same sentiment was carried on through the night if I needed anything. High praise to them for treating clients and fellow vendors this way!!
