The Hotel Preston Review

Disappointing. The photos are incredibly deceiving. It looks like whatever money they did have to update went all to the main lobby area. The rooms are comparable to a 2 star motel. Do yourself the favor and stay elsewhere. Not worth the money AT ALL. The bathroom felt like I was in a basement, toilet barely flushed you have to hold it down. Rooms are adjoined which seems so outdated. Hallways are dingy with some rooms missing knobs and locks. Our room AC barley worked, it felt humid. If they try and stick you on the 2nd floor, run.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Their policies are terrible. Beware they charge a facility fee which is not easily noticed. Then to add a one hour late checkout they wanted to charge me $25.00. Will not be staying here again.

I enjoyed my time while in Nashville, I stayed at the Hotel Preston for exactly one week. The staff was friendly and very nice. The room was missing some basic necessities but other than that, pretty clean & nice The absolute worst part was the food at Hotel Preston. I unfortunately tried everything on their menu over the weeks time & EVERYTHING WAS TERRIBLE. By far the worst food in all of Nashville. Their $7.00 breakfast sandwich is microwaved and all of their food tastes that way... If they just get a cook and or actually semi fresh ingredients that would be a game changer. To top it off they have bad coffee Again I will speak very highly of the awesome staff at Hotel Preston.

Noted issues, thus far:

- no soap in the bathroom (took 2hrs to have someone to the room to drop off soap)

- primary light in the room flickers as though setting a scene in a horror movie

- tissue dispenser in the bathroom is stained, dirty, and rusted - as I moved it, I found dead bugs hidden behind it

- charged twice for the room, with a promise that I'll get my money back in a week.

There are aspects of the hotel that I'm disappointed in, like how the tv setup is technologically reminiscent of 2006, or how the light levels on their stylized lamps fluctuate, or how there's no trashcan to be found in the room, but the listed above are signs of a scam dressed up as a 3-star hotel.

Nice hotel. Air was loud and rooms a little dated bit very clean. They serve the best breakfast! Big portions

The only reason I came to this hotel is because the night before I had a bad stay at the holiday inn. This place is not worth the price! The bathroom sink was a joke , basically a sink you would see at a park, no water pressure or heat. Looks better in the pictures to be honest. Anyway, the only reason I am giving it 3 stars is the bed is comfy , which is the only reason I left the hotel I stayed at last night. So yeah, I'm not recommending to anyone.

Clean hotel. Staff was very friendly!!! The food was great!! Only down fall is every time some one would shut the door to their room you could hear it was super loud. Bathroom is really tiny. Good location. Easy to get on and off the highway.

We were able to find a good deal on a last minute room through hotels tonight. Upon check in we noticed a pungent smell that only grew worse as we neared our room. The customer service was great however, the elevators were old and moved extremely slow, the hallway where are room was all of the doors were scuffed, wallpaper bubbling and vents falling off. The toilet in our room leaked and from the stains apparently haven t been fixed in quite some time. There was missing caulk and holes around the ceiling of the shower area, and a gross looking stain that was on the night stand. The fan in the bathroom didn t work however the room had sufficient a/c and a comfortable bed.

I am not sure what happened but maybe they are working on it. Being it has been COVID and it was closed for a little bit is the reason I am giving it these stars. I did have to change rooms. I could have changed it again but I dealt with the bathroom and the smell. I had a Corner room as this is what you should get. It was Huge and I was Very Satisfied. It was very loud guest that night that was drunk and kept knocking on our door and looked as if food was thrown and or left in the front of our door. I Called the manager later in the week to address my concerns and never got a call back. I barely got sleep in the comfortable bed. The city view was AMAZING. I ordered food from downstairs and it was good along with Customer service. So I can't totally write them off, but I did expect a phone call back.

The best night's sleep I have had in weeks. The bed was sooo comfy. We ate breakfast downstairs this morning and it was also delicious. We had chicken and waffles, but I forgot to take pictures. They are also pet friendly. We will definitely be back if we are in the area.
