Great atmosphere.... until the apparent owner started swearing at a family, like kind of violently.. who knows why but I ll never come back here. One star for zero class.
Had dinner and drinks is here on Saturday night. We had a reservation, so we were seated promptly. The drinks were good and the service was good but minimal. Take order, bring orders, pretty basic. The food was of mixed quality. Our party ordered a burger (which was good), the lobster bisque (which was very good), walleye tacos (which were over cooked and somewhat bland), fish & chips (which were very good), and the coconut shrimp (which were very over cooked and bland and came on a giant pile of raw, unseasoned shredded cabbage and onions???). Overall, this place showed inconsistent quality and felt overrated. Disappointed.
Always a great experience. I usually go for brunch and get the All American breakfast with a few mimosas. They have great beer selections and a wonderful outdoor patio. Definitely recommend
Life changing. Came here knowing nothing. Not a clue about the establishment. I have been to restaurants around the world from dirt cheap to expensive as all get out. Today I had a meal here that I will say is the best plate I have ever had in my life. On the 23 I had the steak and pierogis. It was the best plate I have ever been served in my life. The steak was cooked to perfection, the sauce was salty and savory and mixed with the sour cream that was horse radish this was the best meal I have ever had. I don t make reviews often. This was monumental. Thank you for this meal and my hat is off to you good sir. Had one beer here and it was tasty, service was great. I would reccomend coming here over anything.
It's always a good experience there. Innovative yet safe on the palette dishes. Good courteous staff.
What started as a good night ended with alarming disrespect and distaste. Management was yelling to gtfo not the abbreviated version complete lack of understand, patience, and empathy towards customers. My advice IF you go: leave early, that is unless you want to pay to be mistreated in the end.
The food was great, the vibes were even greater and the beer was craftaliscious! Big fans of microbreweries and the fun flavors the food was an added bonus. Veggie burger and French toast were our faves.
The owner was so beyond rude towards the end of our departure. We had spent so much money and actually gave them business often, yet he had the audacity to say I couldn t use the bathroom in minutes of closing time. I could use the restroom only if I left through the back alley, which meant I couldn t reunite with my family to leave out the front door. This was mind boggling after spending so much money and loving their staff. Worst ending to the night, and affected some energy in our party leaving. Poor rating for sure and will not support again
The Freehouse is a reliable spot to go for a good meal. In particular, their breakfast food is really excellent. It's a cool vibe in a fun area and their menu has a wide variety of options if you're with a lot of people. I've always had very positive experiences with the staff. It can get busy during peaks, and they offer reservations ahead of time.
