I arrived today in Birmingham for a business trip and I booked this hotel on Priceline since it was close to the BJC but wow was I in for a shock!
I pulled up thinking it looks shady but looks aren't everything so I checked in and went to my room where I found the door lever broken from being kicked in and my key card wouldn't work so I turned around to see a guy standing there watching me and drinking a 40 then starts committing on my luggage so I wasted no time going back and demanding a full refund and went to a nice hotel.
As a visitor you can walk around the imposing and stunning building which has been built in the late 15 hundreds. The park is nice as well. As a Kings attendee the interior for me is the most beautiful place ever. It is just stunning the history, prestige and halls.
while the inside of the inns is generally out of bounds to anyone other than students or staff, the park outside it is a rather nice place to sit and relax. also there are occasionally concerts on if you do want to look at the splendid dining hall at which such revered people as padraig pearse or brian cowen (cough cough) have sat
It is not open to the public but you can cross it to Henrietta street. A nice unicorn above the east gate. The nearby hungry tree is the real attraction around here.
