Dr. Saran is fabulous! I d highly recommend him, but only if you re looking for a doctor who is going to take the time to actually listen to what you have to say and show compassion. I can t say enough about his positive attitude and professionalism.

Met with Dr. Chaz and had a wonderful experience with him and every person in the office. My wait time was a little longer than I had hoped, but the front desk made it clear that there was an issue with the insurance, and they were working on it. Which they were! Very pleased and happy to have found a good GP office that I feel comfortable in. Thanks everyone!
Dr was pleasant but they advised my wife they would call her concerning her results and didn't. There office isn't accepting calls until 1pm because of "lunch hours" and it's 1120. Would find an office that actually cares before considering this office.
Both Dr. Saran and Dr. Chaz are the most sincere and down to earth doctor's you'll ever meet. Very easy to talk to and really know what they're doing. The office as a whole was quick and efficient.
I joined this office for about a year now both Dr. Saran and Dr. Chaz are so friendly, they listen to all of my questions and concerns, they re very thorough and they never rush through the appointments. I've never waited more then just a few moments to be seen. Everyone from the medical assistants Mary and Klovie, nurse Marijam, office coordinator Brittany and office manager Mike are all so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I feel like family every time I come here, Great experience over all! 1000% happy
I have been a patient of Dr. Chaz for the past 2 years and he is truly one of the most caring and patient doctors I have ever encountered. He sincerely takes the time to get to know his patients and I have never felt faceless, unheard or like just a number as is the case with other practitioners. I recommend this practice wholeheartedly. He never disappoints!!
Dr Chaz and his staff were wonderful from the first moment I walked in. I had prompt attention and an easy registration as they had all the information from ZocDoc. Dr Chaz was friendly and spent time with me to thoroughly go over my history without feeling rushed and I got all my questions answered. Will definitely be my new primary care physician.
Before becoming a new customer, I called the office and made sure that a yearly checkup visit was covered under my insurance. The front desk confirmed that it was fully covered, so I booked an appointment.
On my first visit, they set me up as a new customer and asked me a bunch of questions about my medical history, etc (Nov, 2017). They asked if I wanted a flu shot. I asked them if it would be covered under my insurance; they said yes, fully covered. So, I went ahead and got it.
Then, they recommended that I get blood work done. They said that normally they would do it at that same office, but they were not equipped to do it right now, so they recommended me to a local blood work center. I asked if this would be covered under my insurance, and they said yes. I went to the 3rd party center, and they drew my blood. Shortly thereafter, I got a bill from the blood work center for ~$30. I just went ahead and paid it. Then the nurse practitioner had me book a follow up visit with their office to go over the blood work results (Dec, 2017).
There ended up being nothing wrong with me, and I was generally happy once I left their office in December. Fast forward to March, 2018 and I receive a bill from the Doctor's office for $113.16. I called their office to discuss this bill and the lady on the phone said that I would have to talk to the office manager. However, he was busy, so she said that he would call me back. After a week of not being called, I called the office again. The office manager was busy once again, so I was told that I would get called back.
The next day (after my second call), the office manager called back. He essentially told me that I was billed because I went to see the Doctor twice, once for the "new customer" visit and once for the "yearly checkup" visit. I explained to him that nobody ever told me that I would be getting billed for the second visit. I repeatedly asked if everything would be covered under my insurance, and they had said yes. His rebuttal was that my insurance wasn't good enough to cover the second visit. I said that I didn't even want to go into the office a second time, and he said that the Doctor is not allowed to discuss blood work results over the phone, so I had to go in to get the results. He didn't reduce my bill at all, and he was not very nice about the whole situation either.
After being very unsatisfied with talking to the office manager, I paid the $113.16 bill. I was upset, but I was still going to give them another chance.
Then, in April, 2018 (5 months after my initial visit) I received a ~$16 bill from their office for the flu shot that I wasn't even going to get, but was talked into because it was going to be covered by my insurance.
In summary, the Nurse Practitioner was friendly and professional. However, their communication over billing, office manager, and invoicing department in general are leading me to search for a new primary doctor.
Dr saran actually told me to not come back for 3 weeks after he told me initially he would look into my issues and have an answer for me in a week. Save your time and see someone who actually wants to be a doctor.
If there is one thing I have - it is a low tolerance for doctors who simply remember you because he or she quickly looked at a chart before entering the room in which you are waiting.
A friend of mine kept saying how awesome and genuine his doctor was so I took his recommendation and went to The Health Associates of Tampa/Dr. Saran.
Well.....the person that referred me to Dr. Saran was spot on. You don't really expect that caring, kind, genuine doctors exist like this doctor. I almost feel like I'm writing a fairy tale, but after my first visit I bragged to everyone. I could go on and on because this is a doctor that you can visibly tell is paying attention to you and what you are saying. I swear you can tell he cares. We need more doctors like this guy in the world. I know he is also an ER doctor. This doctor would be a doctor I would want in the ER, by the way.
Office staff - same. I could name them all after one visit, because you don't forget nice people. I read a previous review that mentioned slowness at the front office. I've seen only BUSY people working. And, I understand busy. To me, I can wait a little bit for excellence, and I can be an impatient person at times. I'll wait. It is worth it to me. 5 Stars.
Joined this office the past year and have had nothing but great service from the start. Both Dr. Saran and Dr. Chaz are great and make it feel like a true family practice! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a PCP.
I see Dr. Chaz, but even when he was out & I had to see Dr. Saran once, I was very pleased with my care! The girls in the office are very sweet as well!
My initial visit to Dr. Ambrose Chazhikattu was exceedingly thorough. I have tried for 3 years to get a routine physical exam with 2 previous primary care physicians. It was very difficult to get routine physical exams (probably due to excessive patient loads.). Dr. Chazhikattu performed a full physical exam upon my initial visit. All of my medical concerns were addressed to my great satisfaction. His assistant KK did my blood draw for all necessary tests. She was excellent and there was absolutely no pain whatsoever. The entire staff was very polite and highly professional. I am very pleased with the superlative level of care. There was only one primary care physician whom I had previously on N. Dale Mabry in Lutz (a Gulf War vet) who is comparable to Dr. Chazhikattu. Much appreciation to the entire team at Health Associates of Tampa Bay, 508 S. Habana Ave., Tampa, FL 33609-4144
Amazing doctors and staff! Everyone is very friendly and the doctors are extremely knowledgeable they really care a lot about their patients. Thank you to everyone at T.H.A.T you guys are the best!
