Beautiful museum; must-see. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit. There were 3 exhibits on display and I enjoyed them all. It took me about an hour to tour the museum. They have a college student discount so the price is very affordable. I also believe there is a discount to visit the Mint Musuem across the street if you visit the Gantt.

My fiance' and I are so excited about booking our wedding reception with the Harvey B. Gantt Center. The event manager Chanel Donald was so helpful in helping us envision our day. She is very professional and an expert in the arena of weddings/event management. We can't wait to share our reception venue with our wedding guests!

Amazing African-American culture and history in the artistic form! I went to GroupOn and got a great deal for two visitors at the Harvey Gantt Center. It was affordable and I felt so cultured. I highly recommend that you donate and visit! The building is a little chilly/cold...so bring a wrap/jacket. (You're welcome!)

Very nice for the city. There should be more exhibits because it is a short visit. The exhibits that are currently there are both educational and insightful. Great location. $9 adults $7kids. Good pricing.

The Wake Forest College LAUNCH Program had an amazing time at the Harvey B. Gantt Center Saturday Oct 15th! Many thanks to Herman and his team of guides touring 60 high school students through the exhibits and engaging in thought provoking conversation. We are grateful for the exposure to African American arts and culture, this experience has impacted our students in a positive way!

We went on a Wednesday, not all of the museum was open so we where only able to see 2 rooms. The 1at room was educational and touching. The 2nd room was a about a neighborhood in Charlotte. Personally I would like to see morw here and maybe see a guide that elaborates on the details of the showings.

Besides the structure of the building, it was nothing like the description. At least when I went. I was expecting a full museum experience, walls full of art and history. It was empty. Two rooms had exhibitions. One small room with neat photography that could only be understood with a flashlight shining on it. The second room was a conceptual display of African American men telling the stories of being black. Overall, I was underwhelmed by the museum.
