An absolute delight!
An absolute delight!
My wife and I recently enjoyed a 3 night stay at this wonderful Inn and would highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area. The owners, Greg and Belinda are new to the area and the inn business, but they are naturals. Both are very conversational, personable and attentive to your needs, whether it s a recommendation for a restaurant or a request to leave a bucket of ice in the room. Rooms are clean and well appointed, the staff are friendly and equally conversational, and a delicious breakfast is served each morning in the sun porch. We particularly enjoyed quiet reading time (and a libation) on the covered porch while watching deer in a pasture across the lane. You have access to a pool a very short walk down a shady lane, and there is a stone and pebble beach close by for walking. When the tide is out you can walk for miles, search for sea glass or dig for clams. The inn is beautifully furnished with antiques and art work, and has various areas to sit and enjoy the view or a conversation. We quite enjoyed Greg s stories, while Belinda is more the historian and tells of the wealthy elite from Boston and New York who were frequent visitors to the Inn and area in bygone days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Harbourview Inn and hope to make a return visit.
