Love this store! Has a lot of unique and fun items and gifts. Found some things I have seen since I was a child. Staff is kind and helpful.

While traveling for business, this is one of my favorite shops in Maine. The unique gifts can't be matched anywhere. The clothing and sock selection is the best. I love the way the shop is set up, as well as an excellent staff, helping me to find perfect gifts. I always look forward to taking the time to shop by Grasshopper to find the best gifts, for others as well as for me! Be sure to stop by this shop because you'll never find gifts as great.

I watched a saleswoman demand to know if 2 young girls had money ?! So rude we left and will not be back. I hope those girls had a lot of money to spend elsewhere

Racist shop owners. Clearly racist against Chinese. Almost spent $75, we were treated poorly. Happily walked out spending $0.

In addition, the store owners like to lie. Under no circumstances did anyone throw a gum wrapper on the floor. We did not have gum with us.

You should have a sign up explaining your hygiene policy rather than supply ample mirrors and cherry pick who you would like to enforce your policies with. We were insulted and felt singled out. The hushed whispers behind the counter leading up to the incident was enough of a smoke signal.

Put some signs up. Thanks for ruining our vacation.

Get most of my clothes here. Pricey but nice quality. Usually a good selection.

Great local place big variety of clothing, gifts ,toys,cards,household items etc.

The Grasshopper Shop is a wonderful shop. Has a little bit of everything for everyone. Lot's of stuff for kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Easy to find things in the store. Would definetly go their again.

Cute store to find knickknacks in or something for someone who has everything. The prices are a little high but I'll always pay more to support a locally owned store.

You know, the employees are nice, the shop is well kept, well lit, and well organized. There's quite a mix of stuff, from clothes to drawing sets.

Mid tier gift shop best describes the grass hopper shop. Not the cheapest, nor the most expensive. The prices are just as little too high, though, for what I think you get thus the four stars.

My favorite store in all of Maine. Thank goodness I live 90 minutes away; if I lived any closer it could be dangerous.

Fun store that offers a variety of stuff. The service is friendly and the items are always good quality. The prices tend to lean on the higher end but it is still unique items that are high quality.

This is a great place to shop for not everything in other big box stores. You really need to shop here to enjoy all the different things you can get for friends,family and others.

I remember the Grasshopper Shop song on the radio on 92.3 Moose in the 1990s. "...at The Grasshopper!" This place is great for Christmas shopping. A variety of classic and new toys, women clothes, glassware, kitchenware, candles, chimes, and ornaments. I have you five stars, because the selection is great, the staff are beautiful & sweet, and you have been open as long as I have been alive. The only negative is last year they worried too much about shop lifting. I couldn't relax enough to decide what to get so it took twice as long. I am nice and will give you advice. Read the customers, see if they are good people and if they are let them shop in peace. Use one entrance, check to see if they are wasted or drugged up. You can tell if someone has money to pay for an item, they don't take a moment to run numbers in their head to see if it is within their budget, they move their lips and look at prices repeatedly. Profile people who enter the business. An hour of shopping is not the same as a shoplifter for such a small place. I hope I helped. My family loved the gifts. Thank you, you rock!

I visited this facility last year and was watched, hovered over and basically treated as a potential shop lifter! I complained to Management, which apologized . However, upon my visit to the Grasshopper this year, I was shocked that my girlfriend and I AGAIN
Were followed and hovered over!!! I am myself work for a Fortune 500 company and understand Loss and Prevention procedures in retail. A chain blocking off the entry to the dressing rooms was the final insult to this customer. Not once were we asked if we needed assistance..

This store has something for everyone! It staff is friendly and helpful. They are always will to gift wrap for free.

The place had great clothes and other nice things to buy and the people are very nice and helpful!

Every time I go to this store there s always a worker following me around. I had one worker today follow me and my mother from one end of the store to the other and everyone in the store watches closely as we are shopping and it s so uncomfortable as it makes us not want to shop anymore. I believe they pay close attention because we dress comfy rather than tidy ourselves up because we live close by and we visit the shop often but I can t say for certain. It is really impolite to treat customers in a way where you profile them just with the clothes they re wearing.

The best shop in Rockland. Very good quality clothing and shoes for females. They have good sales during the year and I always find a good deal on shoes. The store also has jewelry, accessories (great socks!) as well as home goods, and a great gift selection. Located on Main Street, Rockland with free and easy parking in the back.

Love the Grasshopper shop! Always fun, ecclectic finds!
