The Goodkind Group, LLC Review

I ve worked with agencies before, but my experience with The Goodkind Group has been phenomenal. They really got to know me and what I was looking for, and were great in communicating about possible opportunities. They advocated strongly for me with their clients and I was soon sent on interviews. They were great in providing any feedback and assisted with any advice regarding interviews. I ve now accepted an offer, and couldn t have gotten such a great opportunity if it weren t for them!

I've greatly enjoyed working with GoodKind Group and Jackie Keegan especially. She is a fabulous recruiter who cares so much about placing us in positions that are genuinely a wonderful fit for both us and the client. She's hands on and so easy to talk to and simply a pleasure to work with. She sent me out on great interviews with exceptional companies in many diverse fields. Their level of professionalism at Goodkind is of the highest standards and I highly recommend them!!!

If I was able to give no star i would, the worst waste of my time and energy !!

Jennifer Berland is the worst recruiter I have ever met...to this day I am still waiting for a follow up call after a phone Interview with a company I had In August.... the company reached out for an In-person Interview and she never called back to make the arrangements. These People will Interview candidates and offer the same positions to all! even if is far from you field of experience..

Sanjay Bherwani and Terry Kon are absolutely incredible. If they're not on the phone with me, they're speaking to potential employers and staying 10 steps ahead of the game. Extremely knowledgeable, professional but also realistic. Ask for Terry or Sanjay and I am sure you will have an interview within the week. They are superstars.

I sincerely hope Google would allow people to give ZERO STAR to some firms!

I checked reviews about Goodkind before the interview. First of all, the position they sent me is a position I m currently interviewing for. I told the guy who called me the situation, but he insisted his boss Terry Kon has many available positions. I double checked with him because I really don t want waste my time after reviewed all comments here. He guaranteed me they have openings. And he reminded me at least 5 times to be there on time.

I got their office at 12:50, 10 mins early. The receptionist asked me to fill out forms before she went back on her YouTube videos. I sat there from 12:50 to 1:30, whole 40 mins, no one came. The receptionist girl was watching videos and even didn t bother to check with Terry Kon again.

I realized everything people commented online is real. So I packed my staff and told her I m leaving. She paused few seconds then lied to me oh, you have to let me know you are ready so that I could email Terry. Really? It s not my first time meet with a recruiter.

Boycott this place.

Coming across The Goodkind Group was truly a blessing for me. Jen Berland did her absolute best to place me at a top law firm. She always kept me up to date and always responded to me whenever I had questions. I found myself in a difficult situation in my life but Jen and Goodkind were a breath of fresh air. Thank you, Jen!

Karen Isaacs is a rockstar. I've known her for years. At most staffing agencies, you are the bright shiny object--until the next day when another qualified candidate enters. That, or they push you into jobs and industries that are of little interest. Karen is a seasoned pro who doesn't pressure her candidates. Her list of successes is long and she is savvy enough to know the value in long-term business relationships.

As a former recruiter, I can tell you that most of them are self-involved, unethical, and shadier than used car salesmen. Karen and her colleagues at Goodkind Group defy that description with grit, warmth, and integrity.

This team is great! Jill was awesome to work with and a great communicator throughout the entire process. Definitely would recommend working with her and her team!

Stephen and Lorie were interested in what I really wanted in a position and by the end of the day, after some testing and on-the-spot interviewing, I landed a new job. The Goodkind Group has a great team that will work with you from beginning to end to be where you need to be. They are one of the most professional and supportive agencies you will ever encounter.

The position they placed me in 3 months ago is now a permanent role for me and I am so grateful to them for believing in me and helping me find a place where I am appreciated for the work I do.

Caroline and the entire staff are always available, even after hours. Definitely give them a call if youre looking for short or long term temp work.

I worked with Jennifer Berland at the Goodkind Group to find a job after graduating college. My search had become long and frustrating, but once I connected with Jen and the Goodkind Group I felt I was in good hands. Jen worked tirelessly to not only find me a job, but find me a job doing something that I wanted to do, that would help prepare me for my future plans and that I would succeed in. Horrible. Ellie Giannelli responded my reply to Craigslist ad and told me to come in. Eventually, I came in and she scheduled me at the wrong time and I had her email as proof that I came in at the right time . Ellie spoke unprofessionally about the girl who was interviewed before me. Receptionist told me to call Ellie back at the end of the day, I wasn't able to so I emailed Ellie. I got no response from Ellie even though I was told to call her. No other recruitment agency has done this to me. Not only that, no other recruitment agency interviewed me through a webcam. A waste of time I took out my job to meet her.

Not have the best of luck with this agency. They booked me for a job with DF King all the way out in Sunset Park which is a huge trek away from the subway. I was fired after a week because someone overheard me cursing in conversation.Julissa told me I needed to be more professional and was very nasty about it when she did not even understand the circumstances. D.F King is a micromanaged sweatshop. Shocked places like this still even exist to be honest. They hire people from welfare then make them feel horrible about their existence. Most people do not even have the most basic speaking skills or are intelligible in any way. I have a college degree in psychology and the best they can do is send me to a place where I get fired if my sneakers on casual day or not all white or my skirt is above my knees. What is this? Catholic convent school all over again?! They never bothered to take the time to even read my resume. They are extremely unorganized and inefficient. Stay far clear of this place. They just called me again to work at D.F. King and didn't even understand that last time I was fired when I was the hardest working person at the place. It's sad that some sort of "agency" like this even exists and they have the Irony to call themselves the "GoodKind" group.

Had to go in to connect to a computer to connect with someone over Skype. I was under the impression I was going to meet with someone face to face. I could have Skyped from home. No follow up afterwards

I have nothing but good things to say about The Goodkind Group! Trying to land my first full-time job right after college was very scary & intimidating, but the goodkind group made the entire process so much better. I ended up getting hired at a great job and Caroline and the rest of the team were there supporting me every step of the way! Highly highly recommend!!!

Unprofessional, never bothered to followup with me. Jeff Franz reached out to me on LinkedIn, sent my resume to one of his clients and didn't even have the decency to followup or respond to my requests for a follow-up. My advice to Jeff, take a business ethics course

The most White trash group you may find in Manhattan. The owner conducts interviews behind a screen and is so old, you expect her to die any minute. She will insult you and then bring her crew to meet you who make White trash look elegant. This is the dying old breed of employment agencies. Don't waste your time. They never call.

I had an excellent experience with the Goodkind Group. They quickly processed my resume and reached out to set up a meeting. At that meeting, we discussed my interests and they immediately identified multiple job opportunities that fit my interests and salary needs. They even coached me through a successful interview with one of those jobs! Throughout this process, staffers at the Goodkind Group were kind, respectful, knowledgeable, and prompt at answering all my questions over the phone and through emails. If you're looking for temp or temp-to-perm work, I can't recommend the Goodkind Group highly enough.

Apparently they don't have many clients because I have yet to receive calls for work from them. Update: will send you for an interview then want a blow by blow, word for word of what was said during said interview, so much so I felt I should have recorded the whole it! Don't waste time going there.

This is another fake job listing staff agency. I was called by Kari about a specific position. She was never available when I wanted to set up an appointment. Finally, I was able to get an appointment with her. I had to take time off to go there. What happened to the job? She was unprofessional and again never followed up. Warning: Go to another agency. They don't seem to have any available jobs.

Jen Berland horrible recruiter, waste of time. Took all my documents and made me believe that my resume would be sent to the client. Never responded to emails, and never picks up phone. Then two months later after meeting, finally reaches out to me for another position, and sent updated resume, to see if I'm interested in new opportunity. Says once again that she will send resume to client, when i email her about more details about the client, hours, etc... Never responds. She is a waste of time. She found me on indeed, I don't recommend her at all. I don't know about the other recruiters if they are the same but Jennifer is no good.

This staffing agency is horrible. The only people who are rating them five stars is the one who are actually getting job opportunities. They pick and choose who to give jobs to. My recruiter Ellie Giannelli is bias against me. I don t know if it s because am black and she feels I don t deserve any opportunities that are paying for what am asking. I spoke to her in June and I ve been waiting ever since for her to contact me with any jobs. She never contacted me back. I have a bachelors in hospitality management and years of office experience and yet I never get contacted back for any jobs. I meet all of the qualifications yet she never contacts. If anyone is having any problems with ELLIE GIANELLI it might be because you are not her skin color.

Doug Samberg, Laurie Bloom, and the rest of the Goodkind team are experienced, knowledgeable, and most importantly...thoughtful. They didn't just look at my resume, they thoughtfully considered my skills and experience and placed me in my dream job! I met with a lot of other recruiting agencies, but Goodkind was the only one who took a good look at my skills and abilities and matched me with the right company and position. So thankful to them and their hard work!

This place is a one of a kind...A few weeks ago, some senior account executive called me and requested me to come in because they found my resume online and think I would be a good fit for this role they had. Came in the next day to discuss the role, but he left for a so call "MEETING," he ask some lady to take over. As soon as she did, she starts criticizing my past job experience's and won't let me speak even though she was the one asking me a ton of questions. Kept saying, "we would never over sell you, but under sell you." For every 3 questions she ask me, I was only allowed to speak half a sentence before I get cutoff to either a new set of questions or get talk down. After the integration crisis was over she called back the senior account executive to shake my hand before they let me leave. Never heard from them again.

Never worked with a better staffing agency! Worked with Caroline Walkup and Terry Kon. Great experience! They found me a job in my field, right in down town Manhattan. They processed my resume quickly and I had interviews the following week. The Goodkind Group also reviewed and heavily critiqued my resume, cover letters, and interviews to make sure I stood out in NYC. Fantastic experience, will recommend to all my friends.

Paula reached out to me so quickly after I send them my resume with job opportunities. She coached me before my interview and made sure I understood all my needs and what should done and said during the interview. Throughout the whole process Paula was available and reachable if I needed any information even if it was Sunday, and she was always ready to answer all my questions over the phone. It's no wonder why this agency has only 3 stars. They should change thei name because Good or Kind is not relevant to this fake place.... I received a call from a friendly recruiter Manjeet in reference to an opportunity that matched my skills & experience perfectly so I was told on a SUNDAY afternoon to come to meet with TERRY KON the next day, Monday which I agreed to do, even with last minute scheduling, I made myself available. I came in 15 minutes early wearing a suit & waited 1 hour 15 minutes to meet with Terry Kon... My 1st impression of her was NOT GOOD because she shook the very tip of my fingers like with disgust which already felt weird & Rude! She then had me explain my previous experience & skills, which I have 15 years experience of & again, matched the job description perfectly. Then she said that the job she had wouldn't be a good fit for me because they wouldn't like me wearing Green Nail polish (Which was Blue, Not Green, because I was at a Super Bowl event Sunday, the day of scheduling so I apologized & explained the reason & said that I woul not wear any weird colors to a new position). She then asked me if I had any professional suits(Which I was wearing one) so I explained about the last minute call & why I was wearing this nail color but seemed like that's all she was focused on was my nail color & meanwhile she was dressed pretty sloppy with dirty sneakers. But I know she never sent my resume over to the position because they never even emailed or called me back for an update. While other recruiting agencies have been contacting me about that same position & got me an interview!

I wouldn't reccomend this place to anyone who is professional because while you come in dressed professionally & on time, they will be dressed down but yet still have the nerve to have you waiting 45 minutes to then criticize you for looking professional??... Waste of time & aggravation. Never heard of this agency & I guess thats why. My advice to Terry is Take a Buisness Ethics Class before you criticize people's nail polish.

HORRIBLE experience. One of the many reasons why I never go thru a staffing agency. I wasted my lunch break going to this interview. The first part of the interview went pretty well since Ellie interviewed me via skype. Which I was NOT informed about. After she asked for her colleague to come in and ask a few questions. Then another lady name TERRY came in to tell me I didn't have enough experience for the position. She was extremely rude. Where is the communication between them. WASTED MY TIME. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.

Consider this: your job is probably the greatest asset you have. (Do you have another asset that throws off that kind of income each year? I didn t think so.) So whether you are looking to obtain your first job or switch from an existing job, you need to recognize the importance of selecting the right partner(s) to present opportunities to you and guide you through the process. Kari McGovern and Karen Isaacs from the Goodkind Group are those people.

If you are thinking Do I really need a recruiter? Couldn t I just apply on my own? Short answer: NO! I am a very accomplished person with a great resume, but there is no way I would have had access to these opportunities on my own. Hiring is a suck on profitability and no employer wants to spend a second more than they have to on finding great people. Having the introduction through Kari and Karen opened doors that would have otherwise been closed to me.

Why Kari and Karen in particular? They were professional, ultra-responsive and maybe most importantly, genuinely lovely people. After my initial meeting with them, they immediately began to set me up with interviews. Not only were the job offerings high-quality, but they also were able to provide insight on the people and companies so that I could effectively highlight the aspects of my experience that potential employers would be most interested in.

I recently accepted a position that Kari and Karen presented to me. I am beyond thrilled to have landed such a great opportunity and while I proved myself to be the best candidate for the position, it was only possible because Kari McGovern and Karen Isaacs opened the door for me.

I met with Jen Berland who introduced me to several of her peers. I got an interview based on my resume in the field of law, however, I was asked if I wanted to work as a flourist. That was two months ago, recently. I responded to an ad on Indeed by this same company. The receptionist recognized my voice and told me she will get back to me if any jobs were available. This staffing agency is a bogus service; No job opportunities. Don't waste your time.
