The Glen Club Review

The food is quite good. Wait staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Beautiful views of the attached Golf Course. Atmosphere of the restaurant is quite nice.

Was there for a golf event and I must say, the club was lovely. From right when you walk in, the grounds are beautifully kept, a feeling which only grew on the course. The staff was extremely kind and went out of their way to accommodate guests. Overall, it was a wonderful visit and I highly recommend it.

Was there for a volunteer board, it seemed will setup and the staff was very helpful

Pleasure staying here. Staff was VERY friendly , good location, clean rooms, decent pool. breakfast food pretty typical type, not a lot of options and very cramped area but I wouldn't say it was bad. Highly recommend this place for a safe short stay.

Exciting and challenging golf course; one of the best courses in Illinois

My family goes there each year for their Easter brunch. Food is always great and service is excellent.

I was here for my friends wedding. The wedding was outdoors and the weather was perfect despite the forecast. The Glen club was ideal for an outdoor September wedding. As for the reception, we were served a choice of vegetarian pasta or free-range chicken. This was the best wedding chicken I have ever stuffed my face with. What sealed the deal was the open bar. This was the first time I have been to a wedding where shots were served all night long. I can now see why shots are discouraged at such functions but it was a blast.

Visited from out of town and enjoined this fun and challenging course! Staff is on top of their game and very helpful. Would play everyday if I could!

The golf course is a bit costly but would play here again given the chance! A few friends and I played here a few weeks ago and had a great time. The course was as tough as I thought it would be from the first tee to the last. I definitely would recommend this golf course at least once play early spring or fall for the best prices!

Very nice property. The rooms are very spacious and well kept. The grill restaurant has a nice menu and awesome service.

Worked here for years. Working here as a woman is absolutely horrible. The members are misogynistic pigs and no one seems to care. If you care about supporting women at all, you won t support this establishment until they change their ways.

I can't say enough AMAZING things about the Glen Club. Everyone there is so wonderful to work with! Michael is the best at his job and it shows! Their food is amazing too! They have the coolest ballroom that has an upstairs balcony and an amazing patio and lawn outside. They are definitely TOP-NOTCH!

It was a wonderful venue, plenty of parking easy to find. The staff was very helpful and polite. The food was delicious and cooked just right. I would completely recommend hosting any company gatherings here.

Rooms are alright. Clean and simple. Wouldnt go as far to say that it's amazing, but it serves it's purpose. Not being much of a golfer I think I can't really speak for the people that are part of the club.

Just like every other country club. Boring decor, banquet hall atmosphere and photos of old white people everywhere.

5 stars for the food/0 stars for the hostess that didn't pay any attention that I had requested to eat outside and didn't seem to care/2 stars to our very friendly server WHEN she remembered us because she was catering to a wedding.

The place is very cute the waitress was slow and never checked on our table the food came out hot but taste wise not that grate

The staff is wonderful. It's become a very comfortable,place for us (played music for an event) where the members welcome,us and the staff takes excellent care of us.

Over priced golf for a course that I would only pay 80 dollars to play. Instead charged me 220 to play on a not so busy day. The whole round all we would only see the goinds crew working in the middle of the day ruining our round. Very snobby memebers who think they own the place. And the golf staff was very rude when we went to pay they would refuse because we booked it over an app. And tried making us go play a different course because they didnt think we could pay. DONT COME PLAY HERE. DONT WASTE THE MONEY!!

Dining room quiet and decorated nicely. Service very, very slow and the kitchen could use some instruction on preparation also. Had to ask for more butter repeatedly, ordered "blackened" shrimp tacos on corn tortillas. Someone in the kitchen does NOT know how to blacken apparently, as these shrimp were anything but. AND they were served on flour tortillas. I had to ask for the hot sauce that I specified when I ordered the blackened shrimp on corn tortillas. Perhaps because no one in my party of 5 is a member? Not sure.

Great club, great atmosphere. Very clean & welcoming. The service was good & the bathrooms were clean. Will definitely be back.

Last year, after my father died and I needed a place to stay for a month, while getting his affairs in order, I stayed at the Glen Club. The staff was exceedingly kind and attentive during my entire stay. They consistently went out of their way to help me whenever I needed it. During the early spring it was a quiet oasis from the business of the suburbs. The restaurant was great for a late night dinner. Plus the hotel is a short drive to a number of quality restaurants. I highly recommend this boutique hotel.

The Glen club is a beautiful golf course with rolling fairways. Very challenging for players like me. The clubhouse is great for hosting private events too. I've been to a few fund raisers and seminars here and the service and amenities have always been top notch. I highly recommend their stay and play package too.

A very elegant location. Attended a wedding reception and the facilities are very pretty. Rooms are very large with a modern but elegant design.

My son and his lovely bride had their wedding reception there. Staff were friendly and accommodating to any of there needs. I like that there is only one room for the banquet Shi your not sharing the space with anyone else. The weather was gorgeous and we were able to have appetizers served outside on the large patio. We were able to use the patio all night long as well.
After the reception we stayed at one the 22 hotel rooms on the second floor. With family and friends renting all 22 rooms, we continue the party upstairs after the big party downstairs was over with late night snacks. Large room with king bed, flat screen T.V. The bathroom was well stocked with towels and toiletries. Followed the next morning with a continental breakfast.

Super day of golf with mates. Course is fun and the locals were not snobby at all. Made to feel welcome for the entire day.

Attended a wedding with about 100 guests. Once we could go into the ballroom it was fine but cocktail hour in the area outside the ballroom was a bit crowded

This review will not be about the club but the event they handled. 7/4/18 Evening Event Parking. They were parking cars for 10$ and the parking was convenient. Everything looked good. All started when everyone wanted to go home and we had to sit in the car at the parking lot for about 40 minutes!!!!! And we had a 6 month baby on the board. Staff who took money for parking WAS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL, and were pointing at one police guy who was at the intersection alone, and wouldn't even help him. Cars were let go very rarely, for this size of a parking lot 40 min it is unacceptable! If you taking money from people for the parking it has to be a plan how to get them out even at a heavy traffic. Would not recommend to park here, during any event, unless you have extra 40+ minutes to an hour to sit in you car.

Great food with good service. Was here for a banquet and had a great time. Not a huge room, but everything was very nice.

The venu was very nice. Spacious and clean with a great view overlooking the golf course.
